I think Bob James messed up a little bit on the piano but they covered it up really good if you listen I don't remember exactly at what point but I've played the song over and over and over and over in my head a million times not in my head literally listening to the song and he did he missed a beat that's how much I love this song but it's all good on my goodness what an amazing song and group

All previously stated is so true. Keep in mind that founder Bob James is a master producer and has the talent to mesh different musicians to bring out a fresh and creative vibe to their performance. The late Grover Washington Jr thrived with him. Having Lee Rittenauer certainly doesn't hurt as well. They are just a talented group of jazz musicians.

This was one of 4play signature songs back in the day. This use to be one of my Saturday morning songs that I would jump in my 77 trans and cruise along the Ak coastline and watch the sunrise come up over the ocean. Man what a time.

After years of testing and collecting vintage stereo equipment, I mostly always find Fourplay in the CD section of thrift stores. When I set up a system to test in the store, Chant is always my go to track, when i find it there. So many people stop by and ask who's the group whose playing this or to compliment the selection of music. Chant is one of my all time favorites.
