  • Homemade Butter , Hello foodzizzles family , here is a recipe on how to make Butter both Salted and Unsalted Butter. it is freshly made , no preservative :) like the store bought ones.
    --------------------------------
    NOTE: Only make the amount you need in 24hrs max, this butter is fresh without preservative so it cannot stay long. :)
    Notice: its add salt for your salted butter, NOT add butter for your salted butter as mistakenly typed in the video, sorry its a typo error :)

    We had a milk cow when I was a kid and to entertain my little sister and I, my mother would put a couple cups of cream in a mason jar and let it shake it until the butter began to appear. I always thought it was like magic. And the sweet smell oh my gosh I can still remember that after almost 60 years. Our cow was named, “Jerseybelle“.

    How much salt? For every half cup (1 stick or ¼ lb) of butter, you can add ¼ teaspoon of Kosher salt. Another way to say this is for every 2 cups of cream, after churning into butter add ¼ teaspoon of Kosher salt for lightly salted butter and ½ for a saltier result. Hope this helps. Love the video.

      I will suggest you use the handheld blender( if it is hand mixer you mean) can’t guaranty the vita mix , and to add salt , add as soon as the fat has separated and rinsed clean completely, I wrote it in the video but there was a typo , please check description, only make the quantity you need as the shelf life is 24-48 hours even in the fridge as it doesn’t contain preservatives , it’s Fresh butter.

      To rinse the butter milk off of the butter, or else it becomes rancid quickly. Then, when the water is clear, shape it and wrap with parchment paper or store in the freezer or fridge as you wish .

    I tried walmart heavy whipping cream and it would not separate. It turned into moist pudding like consistency. Hope I can find some other whipping cream with proper fat content.

    At what point do you add salt and how much do you add? You never said anything about it in the video.

      Sorry you can mix salt at 4:29 in the video , sorry about that , I mentioned it just that there was a typo and most people don’t seem to know that’s what I mean, I corrected that in the description though .

    Which whipping cream is it!??

    • @foodzizzles
      @foodzizzles  Před 3 lety +2

      Can’t remember the brand anymore , any whipping cream works , whipping cream is a type of milk that has a high fat content and after a lot of whisking the fat separates from the milk and that forms butter.
