I sold my G29 last week to a friend and when I went to test out the G923, I noticed the FFB for me felt much more smoother and more better responsive. Plus the G923 perfectly centers your wheel without that loose slight turn feeling before fully turning the wheel.

@@jonathanarocho893 Yes I found a pretty good secondhand offer with warranty included, but if the T300RS isn't much more expensive, buy that one as it's belt-driven mechanics are more smooth and responsive.
I’m definitely going to wait for my g29 to die before I get the 923 but I just recommend the G920 to a mate after my experience with the g29 but I was surprised to see that the 920 has less features which is rude considering they cost the same

My g29 is great, this is the same, you don’t get trueforce in windows. If I was replacing a g29, it would be one of the belt-drive wheels from fanatec or thrustmaster.

I just pulled the trigger on a G29 this week, seemed like a good starting price for a first wheel at $299 here in Canada. Looked at the 923 or t300 but the 923 is $500 and t300 costs about $600! We get hosed on everything in this country!

If you play Gran Turismo Sport, yes as it solves the mfd dial not working when steering, especially if you like to change fuel mix and brake bias on the fly.
I got the g29 a month ago, used it for f1 and gran turismo. I just returned it and got the g923. I found not much changed in grand turismo other than the breaks which helped me roll the car through turns instead of pumping the breaks for accuracy, in f1 the wheel is different, it feels better on shifts, more obvious where contact with other cars is coming from (reacts better when getting hit from behind which helped me with keeping the car in control) in both games it also loosens up when tires start to wear which let’s you know when to pit before you really start losing pace. My thoughts in upgrading was that the timing of this release and the original release of gt7 for ps5 may have a connection. I’m hoping that gt7 and f1 2021 will make full use of the true force. EDIT: After playing F1 2021 with g923 since releasing it's definitely an upgrade from g29. way smoother steering, no rattling when on the track, and better feel on curbs, I spin way less.

Really glad I watched this. I felt like my G923 base was way too loud but it sounds like they are all noisy. A bit annoying when you are screeching tires across the pavement. Hopefully they address this
Logitech wheels have used this gear drive for a long time and the rattling is inherent to the system. Fixing this would require some kind of belt drive which would raise the pricepoint.

@@ova578 Take it apart and just add some WD40 or some high quality industrial grease. As all mechanical things they need oil/grease to work otherwise they will just rattle and wear down fast and start skipping.

You'll find one where they take out the spring and rubber piece in the g29 and out in the progressive spring in the g923! A mod and you've got great brakes! 😎🤘
I also see as a painter the entire wheel setup is maybe 7% more small all around wheel and " dash" Any idea how to interface G Force Knob i got uk slapslapstick convert i can go from anygear 3-4 or 4-3 and slapstick option for G Force for G29

I picked up the 920 a few years ago used for my xbox one S. As a G25 owner (that I still own) I knew that there were not that many changes and I was right. It feels right at home for "modern standards". The differences is that the brake pedal has a stronger spring than the 25. The 25 shifter will not with with the 920/29 without re-wiring and the FF is pretty much exactly the same as it was back in 2009. So looking at the 923 it just doesn't seem like anything changed other than FF and spring rates. I'd expect Logitech to get up to Fanatics level by now.
How would you attach Customers to keep buying the same thing and keep up turnover? You release "new" models, make old ones not compatible with other devices, many people buy new just because it is brand new advertised and blah blah blah.. The one issue with G25 is that it is extremely loud if you play without headphones it sucks, the rest - you will not feel any difference. The only one thing that if you are the guy of "brand new" and went with every new model you have already overpay ~600$ since 2009 basically for nothing. For tag BRAND NEW...

I had a g27 and I remember being able to feel the curb and the surface in Gran Turismo 5 and 6. That's no longer the case in Gran Turismo 7 with the the g29. Huge disappointment.

We see hands turning a wheel, but we don't see shifting nor feets on the pedals...
Both the g920 and g923 come with foot pedals; throttle, brake and clutch. He is shifting using the paddle shifters on the wheel.

Your True Force a settings in advanced settings were set at 75%? Not sure if that makes a difference but I noticed it
Iv noticed not much has changed in logitech wheels sense the g25 besides the steering wheel itself has more buttons now. You take apart a g25 and a g923 and the internals are the exact same for the board to the motors it's all the same, 15 years later and all they have done is add more buttons. The g25 had the best shifter too before they removed more then half the features on the driving force shifter.

The g923 is louder due to the internal vibrations.
If you’re thinking about spending the money on the new Logitech wheel look at the t300 RS GT it has a belt drive system which is more powerful and more accurate as well as detachable wheels. All for around the same price
Speaking from someone who went from logitech to Fanatec... Skip em both, and take on Fanatec, no questions asked.

I've tried to buy the g923 from littlewoods catalogue but unfortunately it's not available so the only option they had was either the g29 or the g920 so ive gone for the g920 as I can't afford to pay out in full cash this my only option and the price over a 2yr period is £429

lets be honest, the only change that actually matters is the brakes. Which I dont personally have a problem with. Also the g29 sounds more quiet so i actually prefer the g29

Been using g29 for at least 2+ /3+ years for ATS. Love PS4 version simple Cus has more buttons and it’s been great. Also using TH8a shifter and skrs add on shifter. My only complaint is the my wheel is bit noisy, not sure if that normal or not. But wheel been good. Other complaint is. Clamping wheels at top where tighten whole unit in the desk. Is poorly designed Imo and it’s hard grip at times. But that minor.
Mostly play this for ATS and it’s been fine. Have use some on PS4/5. Wish more games would see both my wheel and TH8a shifter. Even GT series don’t see my shifter. But been happy it’s the wheel.
The noise is normal as it uses gears and cogs internally and I know what you mean about the clamping mechanism.

Yeah it’s been good starting wheel. Prob have logged 800 to 900+ hrs in ATS alone, and yeah it’s bit noisy, but kinda expect that. It’s not high end wheel, like some more expensive wheels. But it’s been fine. Still have great force feed back. Doubt I’ll upgrade any time soon, simple Cus wheels here Canada way over priced. If ever dies then guess I’ll have upgrade.
I wish somebody would make force feed back gearshifter lol. Maybe some day.

Great video mate 👍 I absolutely hate the rumble effect. Games like GT7 with only 2 settings (🤯🤦♂️) & no way to disable this awful mechanic, the wheel is an utter nightmare. Just feels & sounds broken. Using the wheel on Assetto Comp though feels great. Feels strong, smooth, no janky sounds & feels realistic. Whoever thought it was a good idea to add in a mechanic which sounds & feels like cogs constantly trying to catch teeth is an utter plum 🤪

My throttle pedal on my g29 keeps going off full power when racing and I have to slam my foot to get it going.I have taken it apart multiple times and cleaned it but it still does the same thing,any help ?
Potentiometer possibly, they do wear down with use
A bit late but deoxit potentiometer cleaner and lubricant only need a few drops at a time (no need to disassemble). For those in the future it's a bit pricy but stuff works miracles. It won't of course fix a problem somewhere else though...

I have the g923, the only reason I got it was due to how it was $200, Half price off. It came with pedals and the wheel.
I don't regret getting g29. It's compatible to ps3, ps4 and ps5 while g923 only compatible ps4 and ps5. Yes I still play my ps3.
Upgrading would be a waste, I mean if you are into sim racing then the obvious choice would be to go for a Fanatec belt drive or something similar.
In my opinion the g29 looks more of a sporty and aggressive look to it with the colour

Yes, the shifter can be clamped on any side aslong as the cable reaches the wheel and can be plugged in

I finally got GT Sport and am wondering if I should get Logitech or Thrustmaster? I love watching GT Sport racing videos and I WANT IN!!! Anyway, I’d rather not have a loud obnoxious wheel with G923 but I like the shape of the their wheel better than (TM seems chunky and wide) Thrusmaster. Definitely need a whole setup and I don’t wanna be a Fanatec just yet Lol. I’ll probably mount the wheel to a wooden TV tray so the easier brake pedal of G923 is a must. I’m taking my racing lines pretty seriously and I’ve heard Thrustmaster (sound like a sex toy Lol) is quieter and smoother but also breaks more often. With that being said what should I get TM or G923... keep in mind I’m new to Sim racing (not really tho always played GT on PS2) and will be using mostly for GT Sport. Is TM force feedback noticeably quieter and how are their pedals vs G923? Sorry for the rant but my fingers are sore from playing GT Sport all day and I LOVE IT... but my ps4 controller is soooo old my lines are really twitchy because most of my buttons stick. Can’t find PS4 controller at Walmart either. Probably just want the wheel TBH. Any I put WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I have heard of issues with thrustmaster and if you see one of my videos mine was DOA. Really p#$@ed me off and couldn't be other to replace so just returned.
I've not had any issues with the Logitech wheels I'm not saying they are better they do the job and do it well.

I would like to by G29 for my ps4 pro but i don't know if its compatible with NFS games anyone know if it is?
Some of, but I rather play those games on gamepad, since it's designed for it. I've tried played NFS HP with G27 wheel once and never tried again. It's a poor experience for those from 2010-now. If you try with the old NFS games, you could get a decend experience; like NFS 3, NFS Porsche, NFS HP2, NFS Underground 1 &2, NFS Most Wanted/Carbon, Pro Street, Shift and even Undercover, but the rest... I don't warranty to you a better performance. Whatever if you play it on console or PC.

The shifters sound different even on one wheel the left shifter sounds different from the right that's why it sounded different cause you did one right and one left

A lot of people(myself included) sitting on the fence. If they could have smoothed out the wheel(rattley) and relocated the buttons on the centre spoke and pimped the wheel a little would have sold more.
So actually g29 and g923 for playstation are the same but g923 is more clean because the black botton and paddles
the best upgrade of the g29 is a DD wheel. Dont go for another G29ish wheel

Couldn’t convince myself to pay for a wheel that’s the same price of a console so I just ordered the G29 today. Hopefully I don’t regret it

I like my 923 however knowing products exist like butt kicker now.. i wish i just opted f9r the g 29 and have my seat the haptic feedback
Just picked up a g29 for 250. Definitely worth it
