Watching in the UK, but this is the best review of the B5 XC60 I've seen so far. I'd planned to buy a used 2021 or 2022 model, so this was very helpful.
The review is very respectful and worthy. I was happy if there was a reference to the driver's auxiliary systems, safety such as, deviation from a cross traffic lane behind emergency braiding, Cruise Control, alerts to the driver in mirrors about a vehicle in a dead zone.
This is a GREAT review! I just bought a 2022 Volvo XC60 Inscription and this overview was excellent. Left me with very few questions. I'm not a big fan of having the Operating Manual 100% on line (I'm old fashioned). But this was a brilliant overview. Learned several things my sales person failed to mention/explain. Overall - I am a bit surprised with all the confusion around "Apple Play" vs. "Google Enabled." My sales person had a difficult time explaining/predicting what would come next, etc. That is disappointing to me - but once initiated, the Google system delivers all I need/want with minimal disruption. Question I have - how are the washers for the front lights activated? I'm sure I can seek the answer in the manual - just haven't done so yet. Are they automatic? Just curious - as I didn't even know I had those!!! ha. Thanks again for a great review. Wish you sold Volvo in Texas!!!
The headlight washers will activate when the windshield washer feature is used. I’m glad you found this video useful, and best of luck with your new XC60!
Hi! Apple CarPlay connection is not available in CX60 2022 Volvo models at the moment. So you can only connect your iPhone via bluetooth, just for phone calls and music streaming.
@@Littleathquakes Let me doubt it 😬. I’ve been messing around with mine for more than a month and neither me or the Volvo’s staff couldn’t find it. The new Google based system is waiting for a software update according to Volvo’s head office, which will include Apple CarPlay feature. In case you are able to connect your phone to Apple CarPlay in that car, could you please let us know how have you done it? I will appreciate it.
Thanks for this review. One question regarding the Sound Controls, with the basic sound system, as in the car reviewed here, I saw Treble and Bass controls but are there also Balance Left / Right and Fader Front / Rear controls?
I bought this car about 2 months ago, but mine also has the advanced technology package...Head Up Display, Pilot Assist, 360 camera, etc. I love the car but I have had trouble with the new Android Operating System that runs the Infotainment system. It's frustrating but I'm hoping that a software update will come along that fixes the glitches that I'm seeing.

When I ordered my XC60 last month the dealer said mid-range unleaded won’t hurt the engine, but they recommend premium for best performance. They did say to avoid regular unleaded.
I noticed that under the rear bumper they have the cutout for the trailer hitch. For the record, there is no SirusXm, Apple Carplay, available at this time. Android Auto would be duplicating the Android Automotive OS

Consistently get 22 MPG with my 2022 front drive only XC60 B5 tank to tank in town. On the one long distance trip with only 3K in mileage we got 29 MPG tank to tank.
No all Volvo arent made in China, mostly in Sweden, but why woukd it bother you if they were? Tesla are built in China and the Chinese model 3 are better made than the ones by Yanks. Other major car makers have factories in India and China too.

In my 2018 xc60 momentum there is the controls for the things you mentioned and let me tell you the sound system is really good

Looks like leather seats don't come standard on XC60 B5 anymore but cost $1400 extra. Not sure how I feel about that (not good!)...
Correct, the plaid cloth comes standard. They are pretty neat in my opinion though.
