effy was so much more likeable in her own episodes when she was letting her real personality through and wasn’t trying to be so mysterious and different all the time
People only liked her when she was "mysterious" unfortunately, which is why she internalised it. Also she was toxic and manipulative, due to environmental factors and also probably a bit of teenage angst

He never seemed good to me. He never helped her work through her trauma or emotions he just made her forget things and disconnect. He was clearly grooming her throughout.

Me too at first I thought it could’ve been a stress reliving thing between therapy sessions but the song (Easy Lover) made it seem off and seemed like he was celebrating.

I always wondered why he was so adamant that she had to leave the psychiatric hospital even though she didn't want to, if he had some sort of obsession with her? Was it all part of his plan?
It's glaringly obvious and she was oblivious to it
i think he let her leave because he knew she wasn’t ready to leave and subsequently would have to come back
He was grooming her
There was probably less supervision in an out patient situation so he would have been more able to take advantage of her without risk of people finding out.

She's attached to her childhood days (watch Effy's unseen footage after her suicide attempt). I guess Pato is sort of a significator of that.
