I agree that it looked like an Elephant seal. However, I do wonder why the filmer didn't zoom in or get close enough to verify. I also believe it was filmed anywhere but Loch Ness due to the fact that there are hills all around Loch Ness. Like as not, it was filmed in Alaska.
Yeah, this isn't the Loch Ness Monster. This is Kempenfelt Kelly, or Igopogo. The footage was taken by a man who saw a strange wake as a pilot was getting out of his plane. The animal poked its head out of the water, scaring the pilot, the people on the shoreline were scared by the sight of this animal. He claims that it was of a massive species of seal. *Though, to me it is probably a male Elephant Seal.*
Other videos have presented this as being taken at a lake in Russia however, that definitely appears to be an Elephant Seal. Also, if one simply looks to the left of the screen, it looks very much like this is an inlet to the sea and the location would most likely be Alaska. There are a number of other videos that indicate that we might be dealing with something Very different in certain instances.
this footage is from Lake Manitoba and it's a elephant seal that some how got into the lake. many were saying it was the Manipogo monster but it was later debunked.
Not Lake Manitoba. Look in the background - shallow sand with nothing but clear sky beyond. This is a coastal lagoon, probably on the west coast of the U.S.A.
Definitely looks like an Elephant Seal to me.....pretty straight forward..Area sure as shit ain't Loch Ness....love to know where it actually is because that would geographically prove range. northern Elephant seal ranges up the pacific coast from Mexico to Canada.
A hippo. I'd swear to it. Also I think 1sport is right, I think some frames we messed with to make it look more Nessie-like. I can guarantee one thing-If you thought a plesiosaur popped out of the water that close to you, you woulda filmed it from a bit further away and you danm sure wouldn't make popping noises to get its attention.
Hey hun, it's an elephant seal. You can see it clearly when it's up. They grow up to be like 10 feet long. It an easy mistake though. I do believe there is something though in loch. I've been there and saw something I couldn't even explain. Keep filming :)
Champ almost certainly exists, as does Ogopogo, & a number of other, as yet unidentified lake creatures, but there's nothing in Loch Ness, with the possible exception of a few large eels. Nessie, or any other population of large animals makes zero biological sense in the loch, & the trace DNA studies didn't reveal anything, including large fish species, & it is one of the most scientifically scrutinized & video taped bodies of water on the planet, with no decent evidence of anything ever being captured, & unlike the collections of eye witness accounts of cryptids in many other places, even the eyewitness accounts in Loch Ness are almost all incredibly suspect.
That wasn't big enough to be nessy, it looked like a large seal or something with the way it moved. Also, why didn't the person zoom in on it or get up to the shore line to see it better when it went under water the first time?
You don’t know _what_ this lake is, if it’s even a lake. But that is clearly a mature male elephant seal. Watch and listen to this compilation of male elephant seals vocalizing and compare it with the animal in the video: czcams.com/video/o9paSzOKzog/video.html
its clearly a seal, since it spins in circles at the end like some seals do. and if not, its faked and a human, the owner would have just made the quality bad on purpose to make it really questionable what it could possibly be, also, this is NOT the ness, people claim this isnt a spot at the Ness and a other video claimed it was a place in canada.
Elephant seal warning you off from him by the look of things, if this was the loch ness monster you would be looking at something rather larger than this mear 15 ft beast!
People, hes not saying this is Loch Ness, hes just using it as a generic term for a lake monster, it most likely is the elephant seal due to its head, nose, mouth and especially the grunting noise is the dead giv away. the poster is merely stating, could this be the creature many people are mistaking for lake or river creatures that are connected to the sea. Any land locked lakes would hav to be some other large animal, I do believe cryptid creatures exist. anything is possible, new species are found in remote areas on a regular basis, even under Antartica, People need to Stop being so arrogant and egotistical, stop being so judgemental, stop jumping to conclusions, none of us knows everything, no one is perfect, none of us walk on water, the key is to be open minded and appreciate every day we are privaledged to be alive and live on this wonderful, amazing planet 🌎
I think that this video is real because of the way the water ripples and splashes, also Loch Ness monster has been found many areas around the world. So it's possible that you found him/her in the area that your in.
Living near inverness and that is not Loch Ness ,it's showing on another you tube channel as champ in lake Champlain , but people are refuting the location as well
Not Loch Ness , Not the Monster but a seal as can clearly be seen when it raises it's head . Talk about the power of suggestion . People see what they want to see .
as i do agree it looks like an elephant seal but dont elephant seals live in packs and why is the bodie so long in 1:11 and also why would an elephant seal just leave its jaw so wide that long
I dont get the recent trend of every unidentified water creature videod or photographed all over the world being described as a Loch Ness monster. Are you people too dumbed down to know that Loch Ness is a lake in Scotland?
@@carlzipperman6689 It's just for views, because the Loch Ness Monster is the most famous cryptid so people use that as clickbait. Still, good elephant seal video.
If it was nessie or some other water creature, WHY DID U NOT ZOOM ON IT? This is frustrating to watch because the thing is out of the water and you just can't closer to see.
i think rich people have gone a long way to designing a very expensive costume and design along witht he footage like other ambigious loch ness monsters we sure are going to exploit the mystery quality production but i think this is human doings
It looked like a bear to me when it stood up. And it kinda looked like it was cgi by the way the splash looked, not sure tho. I see a lot of comments saying its an elephant seal but i thought elephant seals were big and i didnt think elephant seal could stand up like that or even have arms. idk what that it is and im no animal expert so it could very be one.
Whether the lochness is real or merely a myth, how old was he when he was found at the first time ( around 1930 ) and how old is he now ? Could such kind of dinosaurus live more than 100 years ? 😊
Aye, and my mama is Mother Theresa. First of all, this is NOT Loch Ness - it's a coastal lagoon on a creek, likely on the West Coast of the U.S., dammed by coastal sedimentation. Secondly, it not some prehistoric monster, but likely a seal or other marine mammal like a sea lion (or a human in some bizarre costume) posing for the camera. End of story - move on!
Having spent a lot of time around Loch Ness I can tell you in all certainty that that is not Loch Ness
Awesome footage, I concur with others that it appears to be an Elephant Seal, but that doesn't diminish that you videoed something cool. Nice:)
This is a dog???
I agree that it looked like an Elephant seal. However, I do wonder why the filmer didn't zoom in or get close enough to verify. I also believe it was filmed anywhere but Loch Ness due to the fact that there are hills all around Loch Ness. Like as not, it was filmed in Alaska.
I think this is supposed to be Champ from Lake Champlain, not Nessie, but I’m too sure.
I'm also keep asking why the person who recorded it.. didn't zoom in to make it look clearly .
This is a dog??
Sounds like elephant seal too...maybe part of the loch looks like that. Never seen that look in Alaska butnot an expert, haha
I say Elephant Seal. One problem their not native to that part of the country.
aww i love how the elephant seal is just, "okay you can film me"
It’s the Loch ness seal !! Except I’ve never seen that bit of shoreline anywhere around the loch ?
Yeah, this isn't the Loch Ness Monster.
This is Kempenfelt Kelly, or Igopogo.

In America, we call this an elephant seal...
we also in America call this a lousy excuse for a lake monster videos
Elephant Seal. Title is now fixed. Your welcome.
Scottish man to female tourist "Aye lassie, I can show you the Loc Ness Monster....all you have to do is lift up me Kilt !!!"
Wow you just found the lock Ness elephant seal

really nice footage.
thanks for sharing it.

It is most definitely an bull elephant seal. But I'm curious as to where this was filmed.
this footage is from Lake Manitoba and it's a elephant seal that some how got into the lake. many were saying it was the Manipogo monster but it was later debunked.

Paul EJ I don’t think elephant seals are in lake Champlain
This is South Georgia so Southern Elephant Seal or Leo Pard Seal
Hey everyone, sorry for the confusion. Thats just my penis. Nothing to see here.
This is Lake Champlain Vermont
It's an Elephant Seal.
It's an Elephant Seal. It's just not that difficult, people. Read a book.
HeySweden! Yes, it's a seal. Not the seal married to Heidi Klumb.
Thanks for info Einstein
@@vossman2000 You’re an idiot.
The landscape does not look like Lochness or even Scotland.
Honestly, at first I thought it was a dog.
It does look like an elephant seal 🦭 with that bulbous floppy nose. Do they swim in fresh water lakes?

Amazing! ,one of my all time favorite
It's not Loch Ness. Loch Ness is completely surrounded with hills and mountainous terrain on all sides.
I don’t recognise this as Loch Ness, to be honest, but great vid. I think this might be a large seal.
What part of loch ness was this filmed? The surrounding landscape doesnt look like scottland at all

That's not Scotland for a start pause it when you first see the head clearly. The video has been edited
That is what has been called, here in the NW, a "Cadborosaurus" after Cadboro Bay Vancouver CA
Ya'll seen a harem of seals around here?... I'm looking for my girlfriends...
This is not Loch Ness. Looks like it opens out to the sea
That is pretty real looking!
Looks like my uncle Vigo, drunk-snorkeling again. Go, Vigo!
Does the background terrain match the Lock Ness?
Yeah, definitely a small heard of Elephant Seals
That wasn't big enough to be nessy, it looked like a large seal or something with the way it moved. Also, why didn't the person zoom in on it or get up to the shore line to see it better when it went under water the first time?
That's a USO, Unidentified Swimming Object. But seriously, an amazing piece of video: maybe an offspring of Nessie ?
But we know what it is it’s clearly a elephant seal
Yes it's the elephant seal... I looked up the info to hear it' sound! The sound is just like the one from this tube!

Looks like a seal of some sort.
Elephant seal and a Male to be precise.
If this is a fake, you did a pretty good job.
I never seen an elephant seal that had a snake like body. If it's fake then thumbs 👍 👌
Did you throw the dog thats pictured next to your name in the water?
+voss man Well at least we know what he likes to eat. All kidding aside, Its a good video and worth a Loch Ness enthusiast to watch
some devilish beastie in the water waiting for a swimmer to devour
That's not even Loch Ness dude.
THE FUCKING VOSSMAN GOT THE LOCH NESS
That was either the REAL lochness monster or a HUGE HIPPO!!
Elephant seal
it`s a haggis,very rare animal.the only carnivore to scare t-rex,100m years ago.probably having a bath.

Elephant seal?Hippo?granted it does vaguely look like both, but when was the last time you saw either fucking about in Loch Ness?.
Male Elephant seal 1 zillion % sure! Although that doesn't mean The Loch Ness Monsters not still out their somewhere!

I would say a large sea otter close to the end you can see hands when it raises up to surface you can see it trying to break open a clam.
Now that looks weird 😬
