Sceptics such as members of the Loch Ness Project believe that the unique topography of Loch Ness gives rise to some sightings.
Loch Ness researcher Adrian Shine suggests there are two factors in creating illusions on the loch. First, the lock is like a wind tunnel, because it’s aligned with the prevailing southwest to northeast winds. Second, because of its great depth the loch water never gets too warm in summer, nor too cold in the winter, in fact the loch never freezes. In winter the relatively warm water meets colder air producing unexpected mirages on the surface, and the winds of late summer meeting the warmer less dense top layer of the water can induce an extraordinary process, called a seiche.
A seiche is a large oscillation of a lake, caused by water reverting to its natural level after being blown to one end of the lake, resulting in a standing wave.
The legend of the Loch Ness monster dates back 1500 years. Since then thousands of eye witnesses, countless photographs, sonar records and films have testified to the existence of a Loch Ness monster. A profile has gradually emerged of ‘Nessie’ having three humps, a long neck, rough-textured skin and being over 10 feet in length. Every year tourists from all over the world flock to see it. Yet despite decades of tireless exploration, observation and scientific analysis, still no real evidence has been discovered.

What I heard was that the lakes they are found in all have underwater caverns that these animals live in. They are able to swim down and come up into them largely remaining hidden. This is the reason they survived whatever cataclysmic event that killed the dinosaur.
Nessie has always been the reason I have Thalassophobia. Damn you, Loch Ness! But Nessie is my favorite cryptid.

Nessie is nothing to be afraid of, others like Leviathan, Kraken, Cetus, Marine Dragon, Sea Serpent, Giant Grouper, Giant Eel and Oarfish etc are the scary ones.
How to make loch Ness monster real
1. Invent time machine.
2. Travel to the 23rd century.
3. Invent a machine that can change probability.
4. Use probability machine to make probability certain that loch Ness monster is real.
Time Dilation if a rocket travels at 99% the speed of light time slows down.
After the person has spend 1 hour in the rocket 100 year's would have passed on earth.

I do think the loch ness monster exists. It can probably be from the dinosaur era but got left behind.

It has long been rumored that Nessie was eating by Adrian Shines beard. Of course he has denied this. But in 1981 Frank Searle mounted an attack to free Nessie Adrian escaped but several of his boats were burned. Although his beard was singed in the fire. A local fireman that was on the scene said he smelled this strange “wet snake smell” and it reminded him of “ like a hippo who had been sitting in a septic tank of a female bodybuilding camp for a year that someone had thrown in 14 dead wet cats.”
