Brandon ... be sure to check out the How 2 Wrench channel for great training on How to service 2 Stroke Oil Injection System - How to prime oil injection pump. I think it's a valuable training aid that would help immensely. Please don't ask me how critical it is that this is done properly. Yep ... destroyed a piston and cylinder by not doing this correctly. Ouch! Using pre-mix is super smart! Cheers!

If you are going to keep doing these rebuilds I would strongly suggest a small parts cleaner station you can drop these parts into and let soak. I am new to the channel with the the little 4 runner for the Crockers and just subscribed. Love the vintage rebuilds!

Oxalic acid aka wood bleach will completely remove the rust id soak in that absolutely best! Make sure you don’t get in the eyes or on the skin. Then to neutralize the acid when your done, pour in baking soda, until it stops the reaction process aka fizzing! Works amazing on chrome too! Just wrap the tank or tape it up, not sure if it would damage the point, I don’t think it would but not sure! I restored 80s dyno bike for my kid and i soaked the chrome bars with original stocker on didn’t effect the decals at all. I think I soaked them for 48 hrs they came out looking brand new! Stuff is amazing
