I absolutely love the sheer character this trailer oozes. Like Engie laughing off the pseudoscience in the movie, Scout pretending not to be scared, Soldier being first to fire, and Heavy going to make sure Medic was ok really did show how dedicated he creators of this were to representing these characters, to a point where I think, to a point, these portrayals can be a little more faithful to the game than some Meet the Team shorts
i just love the hilarity of the demoman being pissed because he's a cyclops and can't see the 3d with the anaglyph glasses xD i just can't xD while spy doesn't care about the shitty movie and shakes his head in disaproval about the scout's fear xD

I'm a big fan of the theory that pyro is engi's grandfather after years of Australium use and withdrawal (same gloves, same shoulder structure, pyro becoming the CEO of an engineering firm, the grandfather's obsession with Lincoln who was the first pyro), so seeing them together is always heartwarming.

What I really love when rewatching all theses old tf2 shorts is the amount of detail they manage to put into them, almost everything is moving and at the same time.
The easiest is to point the mercenaries’ reaction and body behavior, I mean Demo flinches every time Soldier fires a shot, they didn’t have to animate that but they did!
WHY DID IT HAVE TO COME OUT ON A TUESDAY? Seriously, I'm going to fail at least 3 tests this week because of this.

A "Free" update would involve no money, of which, there is, there's the ticket that you need in order to obtain the reskins, before you could craft them, now you can't. "No money involved"
Years of entertainment? Your point? The game still went F2P and I got nothing out of paying for basically playing a beta. Outside of a non-craftable, non-tradable hat that's worth nothing and got before the F2P update anyhow.
At any rate, it's a low quality over-hyped update where more than likely Valve restricted the shit out of it making it a controlled "community" update that Valve only added to make more money for minimal work, exactly like the End of the Line update. I don't condone Mediocrity, nor laziness.
+Jenetta Bangles i have to agree with you, this update is pretty bad, as was the last. the only things we got were reskins and 3 maps, and the thought it was a good idea to keep the grade system, which i, personally, really fucking hate. and to pay for a ticket to get crates you need to buy keys for to even do anything with is just really sad. let's hope this is just a phase, and we will get some quality updates sometime soon. let's just hope those rumors about the cancelled scream fortress update are wrong.

I actually watched the movie they were watching in the short. It was... A mixed bag. The dialogue was ridiculous, but the alien designs were pretty good. I heard it did better overseas; the foreign dubs made a lot more sense.

People already complaining about the update, blaming Valve and saying is death hype.
Why to have hype for *_just a COMMUNITY update_* in the first place?, i mean, yes, is an interesting event to have some pretty things and etc, but is not something that promises any big changes or anything.
I never got why people hated The End Of The Line that much either, i mean, yes, it was just hats and reskins, but again, it didn't promised that much in the first place, nothing to reach the hate level it got tbh

That cut content was eventually re-added to the game during Gun Mettle (cp_snowplow).

I understand that the proceeds go to the community contributors, but to me it feels like an insult.
