Well they understood that game bombed but at least their latest game, Half-Life: Alyx turn out to be a huge success. Hell, they revamping that card game to make it better that valve addmited that that it is a standalone sequel. But as for tf2, might as well stick to the community for now.

TeaRex_844 sorry but spy crabs are an endangered species of friendlies and so it would be a war crime to kill them, hoovie are less of an endangered species but I am concerned that they will drop enormously when the update drops
The Geneva Convention prohibits the killing of friendlies (not really)
I feel like the tanks need to be put on treds instead of wheels. And maybe some improvements on the planes to make them look less like WWI monoplanes and more like the Spitfires, Messerschmitts, Mustangs, and Zeros of WWII. Aside from that, this is incredible. And I fully agree with what you say, Not Big Surprise: this war can and WILL kill a spycrab!

Well, Lord Gaben has gone and forgot about his people more and more. I like to think this update is the Tf2 community vs Gaben's rule. If it passes, we have him at gunpoint and he has given us Food and Water of Tf2. If we lose, we starve for some good changes and something that WORKS!
0:16 are those who enjoying this game but still want and ask some needed buff or nerf or something of the sort, 0:29 are those who are waiting this out, 0:39 are those who get some minor fix to a needed problem, 0:50 is something major such as pubs returning or some mass and major fixes, 0:58 is people suffering of hackers, people leaving the game, and people trying to help by kicking said hackers or trying to join the team that has 4 people compared to the other that has 11, and 1:08 is Gaben giving no fucks about our situation.

I love this animation so much. Just absolute chaos as two sides engage in random combat less than 20 metres away from each other, like everyone's doing their own thing. It's like an amusement park for war junkies.

The Cupid actually, it doesn't have to be mvm, why not payload but blue spawns in the landing boats and red spawns in a fort, as they fight up the beach pushing the cart
MvM because in MvM there are waves of enemy spawning in the same spot, same in normandy where thousand of american soldiers just ran and died while the german shot them in a fortress
Fun fact, Americans made up roughly 32.8% of d-day troops.
tbh reverse MVM where we are the ones attacking sounds so fun

I remember when I first saw this long ago, I was so damned excited, I thought after the invasion update valve would for sure pick this up, as history tells, they did not
This plan for an update project just popped out of nowhere and yet seems incredibly well made. Even the website looks like something Valve could've made.
I like seeing the community reaching out and showing effort for these projects like this one, Mayann or Iron Gauntlet. I really hope Valve will actually show these projects some love!

I left tf2 about 4-5 weeks ago then I saw this and was like "I might make a map," and so I played in a casual game 4 a bit to see what made a good map, then found out I'd been playing for 6 hours and hadn't started on the map

@Dell Conagher Yeah thats also the reason for the intimidation. Although no one is really ending or saving the world just mercenaries fighting each other for money. So how can we say anyone is bad or good? Though it does not matter we all love Team Fortress 2.

@@tearex_8443 I guess you could call it a war but its not an official war, both Red and Blue are not really organized on their own just a group of mercenaries organized and assigned to fight each other by a single company Mann.Co and that is closer to a civil war, even then there is no sign of what country or countries they are in or who Mann.Co is fighting for or against. Seems Mann.Co has sent Mercenaries to fight and die for profit, maybe if this update was added it could be an official war with a Red and Blue countries or territories with frontlines and teams would have to fight for either side for territorial control of each country with tactics, factories, ammo dumps, fuel dumps, oilfields, and more. Would be pretty cool, anyway got more to say you know what to do.

I can just imagine this is actually WW1 and Red team is just a bunch or slackers on the Allies that no-one really cares about. Like, the rest of the guys are all fighting the Central Powers and Red and Blu are just fighting in the middle of everything. XD

How about a new gamemode, its called Frontline(like the update). Its like Payload and Control Points in one but with tanks, planes(no the vehicles are not driveable). And adding the Engineer a Tank-PDA so he can transform into a Tank but cant place Sentrys. Here more Information:

Lets bring this one back for 2023
Idea for this: Red team on defense has one tank they need to push through enemy lines and the tank can be drove by any class. But the kind of class will give it various buffs and de-buffs. The tank itself will have a different hp pool than the class driving it. Having around 10000 hp that can be repaired by an engineer.
Scout: Scattershot ammo
faster firing and movement, but has low health
Soldier: Explosive rounds
Averge movement more hp than scout
Pyro: Incendiary rounds
Average hp and movement
Demoman: grenade shells
Slightly higher hp and fast movement
Heavy: Chain gun
Highest hp and slow movement
Engineer: Auto-turrets
Average speed slightly lower hp
Medic: hallow point shells
Regenerative hp and fast movement
Sniper: Gauss cannon
Average speed and low hp
Spy: artillery shells
Average speed and low hp
And blu team offense will need to utilize checkpoints wher the team can call in an airstrike dealling 200 damage to anyone near the tank and dealing direct damage and immense knockback to the tank itself pushing it back closer to red spawn
The RED tank will either be destroyed by the BLU team or will get the the BLU spawn and blow it up by firing at the ammo caches inside the spawn room. It would be like a sort of tug of war between payload and attack defense. The reds would begin surrounded by three blu spawns around their heavily fortified area. The red will need to get their tank to three cap points in which the tank will destroy and block off one spawn. The red team has an unlimited number of tanks but will need to regain all of their progress should it be destroyed.

Technically that "tank" is on a railroad track so its more like an assault minecart. some might call it a "mini panzerzug.

This was such a good concept, sad seing that it might never be put in game. Let's just hope next major update will have the war theme and use some of the community creations of Frontline.
I wait for the call to arms...i even have every class dressed like military which is how much of a war junky i am also while supporting frontline.
Due to half life alyx, the tf2 team just haven't been able to do anything, after half life alyx releases it would be possible for the tf2 team to go on from where they left off and implement this update as its overflowing with content
Well, at least they added SOME cosmetics from the frontline collection. Although, none of them are from this short. Sadly. I mean, come on! That Demoman looks freaking awesome, and i'd use it pretty much all the time. It's just such a good cosmetic set.
I fear TF2's last major update will always be jungle inferno.
This game could use a balencer like frontline theme wise.

5 years later this is much better than most of animation that are made today.

“Frontlines” update
Trailer: this
Game mode: One team is the axis (RED) and the other is the allies (BLU). BLU team must complete several rounds (operations) and each round earns a point to the winning team. To win a round your team must capture enemy intelligence (operation 1) then capture a control point (fort) and then for the final operation you have to take out all of the enemy team, similar to arena mode. If your team loses an operation then you have to go back an operation and try again like capital supremacy on Star Wars Battlefront 2
This idea could work as if there was 3 servers mashed together, you choose which sector you would like to work at, then if one team complete their task a large wall disappears allowing a new sector to have more troops assisting them.
