Stopped by FULLY ARMED Mexican Police while Fishing in Mexican Waters
Vložit

- Drove my boat down from San Francisco to San Diego, CA to chase some Yellowtail AKA Hamachi. Launched the boat from Shelter Island and made a run out to the Coronado Islands 17 miles away in my 12 ft boat. While fishing we had an encounter with Mexican Police armed with M16's and MP5's in Mexican waters. They checked all of our documents. Luckily we had everything. Not quite sure what would have happened if we didn't.
The boat is a Whaly 370 model with a 20 HP Yamaha Long Shaft outboard motor. Been hearing about more and more of these boats popping up. If you're interested in them contact www.whalyboatsusa.com/ and let them know you heard about the boat from Fisherman's Life!

James Weatherford it’s called tragedy of the commons and lots of overfishing is done by individual fishing boats.
@@thomyohansen3961 OK IDIOT
@James Weatherford Its Both, even local fishermen in the Sea of Cortez had to be restricted in their fishing tactics since it has been causing damage and some species are almost extinct. Also Mexican Marines are also going after big Chinese ships fishing illegally in Mexico (Mainly Whales). Marines even confiscated a North Korean Ship many years ago and with held it along with its Men. They were transporting weapons from Cuba to NK. NK threatened Mexico and so on, but since Mexico is allies with the U.S. and was in UN Security council we just waited for reply from them.

Hey fisherman’s life! My name is Jack Petersen and I’m 13 years old form San Diego California. I’ve been fishing all my life. I wanted to thank you for these videos. My dad and friends don’t fish so I had to find a way to learn on my own. I started to watch your videos, form trout fishing to lingcod fishing I’ve watched it all. Your videos taught me how to fish and I am so great full for that. I recently started to fly fish. I love it! I was just in Montana where I went on a charter drift boat on the Missouri River and caught TONS of rainbows. Anyways I just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to be the fisherman I am today.

Great video man, just love the chill presentation.
Hey Matt. In Australia your yellow tail are called king fish. A nice way to cook them is cut them into chops ( cutlets). Put lemon juice, salt and pepper on each cutlet wrap a few in foil then bake them in an oven. The bone will come right off once baked.
Epic trip on the small boat! Nice man
