Thanks for the channel, recently did my first torch down to finally end the leak nightmares on my loft. It was 4 layers of torch covered by a layer of epdm a guy (local kid, son of a contractor who cut every corner possible) did last year all on rotted decking. we (me and a buddy) tore the whole thing off (11x20 area) , all new insulation, decking, paper, base layer and a torch membrane. No more leaks, no more ponding and no more thin innertube up there that never kept out the water. I would have never had the confidence to try if it wasn’t for your channel and my girl and I could not be happier with the results. We literally had buckets up there and a dehumidifier running 24/7 all winter because the kid couldn’t find or fix the leaks (could have been stretched seams over bad decking, could have been the termination bar he screwed directly into our caps… such a nightmare 😂) anyway, just wanted to say thank you

If you really want to repair it properly then I would recommend replacing the reglet (skirt flashing). I also understand that the repair sometimes dictates what the client can afford.

does it also stick to the bitumen tape slippery side or should that be removed`?

How do I seal around. Roof vent boots on metal roof

The part where you show a 2 year old job doesn't look good(around 4:45). You can see hole, and also some uv damage to it. I really wouldn't want my repair to look like this after only 2 years !!!

Looks easy but roof work is torture on the knees.
