- Here at last… Introducing The Revelator™ by Kala, a new creation handcrafted in the Kala Lutherie Studio.
In collaboration with renowned U.K. Luthier Pete Howlett, we are excited to expand on his Revelator ukulele design to present The Revelator Nautilus by Kala - handcrafted in our Petaluma, California Lutherie Studio.
An “Acoustic Anomaly”, The Revelator is a slim line electro-acoustic ukulele that has all the tone and volume of a full body ukulele.
Featuring unmatched tone, a sleek, elegant look, and adaptability for any kind of play. The Premium and Master Grade Tenor Nautilus models are constructed from solid Korina wood and will be available at kalabrand.com/revelator starting April 17th (9AM PST).

Great to see these Pete Howlett designed instruments being made so well by the good team of custom makers the USA in Kala. The original instruments were amazing and challenged my thinking on what a ukulele could be.

@@CircuitsAndStrings The description was the first thing I checked before posting my comment because I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t acknowledge The Revelator being Howlett’s creation-there was no mention of Howlett. Hence my comment. The description has been edited since.

We have since amended our description. Pete is a brilliant person and a dear friend of Kala - we look forward to sharing more about him and this incredible vision that he’s entrusted us with!
