It been too long since you have done a sail yacht tour. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come!
@@AQUAHOLIC Noooooooooooooo!!!
@@NunoOsswald no sails boats are lit
@@AQUAHOLIC Do more sailing yacht!😆👍
@@AQUAHOLIC are you going to do a silent yacht?
I love sailing boats as they are usually quite the value for money option and this is no exception. For the main cabin shower, the pull-out shower is slightly odd as it is separate already but other than that i love this boat and always love me some light finishes on a boat. Great as always, Nick.
If it wasn’t for Nick I wouldn’t watch this. Really no interest in these. But now glad I did! Cool sailboat.
I had no interest in boats in general, but found Nick's channel and his enthusiasm for what he enjoys is the reason I continue to tune in
That’s quite the boat. It’s low sleek look, in mast forming, and under deck line routing...it’s quite striking. Loads of room, and modern design. I must say I’m very taken with this unit. Great tour. Thank you Nick.
A lot of boat for your money, that tender garage is a nice touch too. Great tour, thanks Nick
Great saloon and galley. I could see myself spending a weekend sailing around relaxing . Just enjoying myself. Thank you Nick.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice to see that the chart table does not waste much space. Not much need for one anymore.
That's a lot of boat! Love it! Not sure I'd want to be in a rear cabin with the engine running though
Not really interested in sailboats until I see one like this. Stunning, light and airy for the boating that 99% of people actually do.
Whislt I don't imagine I'll ever own a sailing yacht (twin enginges for me!) I do really enjoy your tours and the space and volume for the money always amazes me. Thanks Nick
that was beautyful inside , i was very surprised at how much room there was down there , & plenty of storage , i still can't get my head around why they call a big boat a yacht , to me a yacht will always be a boat with sails .
Just spent ten minutes trying to find the comment in which Nick is reminded he forgot to look at the engines so he tells us the state of the engines. Things like hp, fuel, manufacture, range and so on. No luck so I gave up. Other than the engines missing nice vid. Sailing seems complicated so I'm not sure I'd want the bother but who knows what tomorrow brings. Thx Nick.
You save so much more money sailing rather than motoring. It is not that complicated on a largely electric boat like that.
@@john-zf1yb yeah I admit I'm pretty ignorant about sailing. I've done a fair amount of motorboating but sailing... All those ropes and knots and winches and the boat half leaning over sideways. It's intimidating.
@@RemedialRob - Sailing is a lot of work. I did it for a few years then quit. The reward was not greater than the work, for me.
@@RemedialRob How about the catamarans? They dont lean much while under sail and the access to all those ropes and stuff seems easier.
@@HgHg-yp6ft when they do lean though... Flop!
what a gorgeous yacht!
I like these videos before I even watch them because I know I'm going to like it.
I've been on sailboats a lot. I am lazy, I prefer motor yachts. This one looks magnificent though, I like the light wood. The only thing I would have done differently is the pullout shower in the master.
What a lovely boat...Sailing in luxury the amount of space is amazing. I have sailed quite a number of times but this is on another level, great review as ever Nick !!
That yacht is absolutely cavernous. Lovely finish
Bavaria is known for value for money, and also very popular among boat rental companies.
In the past, I owned a Bavaria 50 Cruiser and learned the hard way value for money often means making compromises and taking short cuts in quality.
Bavaria in the past was in my opinion quantity over quality and I hope they improved their shortcomings.
Bavaria is for sure not the worst you can get for your money But for 400 K there are better alternatives
Well said. However, the market for these plastic fantastics is strong and I don't see the quality on these boats going up any time soon.
@@operator0 Thanks to plastic fantastic there is a boat/Yacht for almost every budget and purpose.
The reason that Bavaria is popular on the rental market is that the public wants to tour with friends and family for a day or week, without too much hassle and with all the comfort.
Nothing wrong with that and Bavaria serves that market very well.
Although the people I know who own a Bavaria are very satisfied with it that meets all their expectations
Yet my expectations in the quality and sailing characteristics are higher than the average weekend sailors
@@AntonKramer I have no argument with anything you said. I personally wouldn't own one, but I understand that there's no such thing as a perfect boat and if one chooses a better constructed boat, they will have to make compromises on size and/or price.
These boats obviously have a place in the market and I'm sure they suit many owners better than a true blue water cruiser would.
Thanks for throwing in a few of the wind powered vessels for us blue water/world traveler dreamers, Nick. Could see myself picking one up on the used market in 10 years time.
That wood color in the inside is really nice
Hi Nick. Nice interior welcoming practical spacious. A proper sailing yacht. Great walkthrough video thanks.
Now that is a beautiful cruiser. The inside is stunning. And big😁
Love the tender garage too. Great idea over davits. And the drop down swim platform is genius.
So good to see you doing sailboats on the channel too Nick. Good job 👌🏽
More to come!
Nick, I know you have to try and not be too negative about the yachts you show but I've heard a lot of negative comments about Bavaria quality. The 400 K price tag is about one third of a comparative Hallberg Rassy. Nobody can criticise the build quality and reliability of HR. Would it be fair to say the HR is the "Porsche" and the Bavaria the "VW Golf"? On the surface, this yachts looks wonderful, well laid out and practical. I was at the Düsseldorf Boat Show this year and went onboard many yachts. For me, it's all in the detail and quality of finish. The Oyster which was on show for example already had broken fixtures and fittings, just from one week of visitors playing around with things, and Oyster are up there with the big guns.
Nice looking sailing yacht
all right, Nick... showing off the sailing chops
Beautiful boat and another great tour, I think you might have forgotten to return to the engines but hey it's a sailing boat.
comparing this one to the 36 I´m a staff of :-) This is a completely new concept with the latest features. Probably more modern than some of the audiens understand. Nice with a super rig from Seldén and the well equipped galley up front (perfect for the night snack). Very nice presented with the same glow as always !!
Interesting place to put the galley and have it split to both sides of the yacht. Most have it near the stairs entry towards the rear. Really liked the tender storage, out of the way and very safe. Thanks Nick for the video.
I’m literally a minute in and I’m already gonna day this is my ideal boat. I’ve known of these for a while now.
I will have one!!!
Love the channel by the way.
Always great content.
Brightened up my flu ridden morning...
I think Bavaria have upped their game in the whole of their boat sector, the design, finish and thought they put it is great, also features that would be a massive upgrade on other manufacturers yachts at a very attractive price...
I presume the steps lift up for access to the engine?
Lovely yacht, and great vid.... 👍🏻
Yes they do, I slightly forgot... 😔
@@AQUAHOLIC I thought you may have as your tour sort of mentioned it.... I was waiting for the add on 👍🏻
Looking great Yachat Nick Sir... Amazing... Love to see you.. Looking great Nick Sir.. God bless you...
Fantastic. What a beautiful sailing yacht!
Didn’t even pay attention to which channel posted this when I clicked it. I was surprised to see Nick when I expected Toby Hodges 😂
Beautiful! Love the finishes and space availale. Serious boat, this one! Not so expensive, if you consider the size and what it delivers. Great! Cheers!
Nice! More sailboats please!
I love motor yachts, and most boats...but Nick, only you could get me to watch a tour of a sailboat. LOL Great tour as usual, and actually a very nicely laid out yacht. Thanks, Nick!!
Greatly enjoyed this tour of sailing boat. Loads of light and space
The main thing that struck me was the lack of a washer-dryer or any other laundry facility (other than showering in your clothes). As you noted, people often set of on these for several weeks at a time, and it came with the sort of storage for that use, but without any facility for laundry you'd definitely not be wanting to take family and guests on long voyages away from land. I'm guessing that walk-in storage space in the saloon, near the steps, is large enough to fit a small washer-dryer, but without a water-maker or plumbing, it isn't a simple thing to add.
The large pantry at the end can probably accommodate a washer/dryer unit.
Love when you do sail boats!
More coming!
Like how the mast in integrated into the galley worktop, would prefer to have some form of false flooring behind the helm stations when the transom is up. Increase the deck space and remove a potential trip hazard
That was a sneaky mirror wave sir.....good work.
Not a bad sailboat Nick. Well done as always.
A lot of Sail boat for the money. Beautiful interior. Almost on par with some of the motor yachts you feature. Absolutely love it. Great video as per usual. I can imagine Maggie is feeling left out. Jacques features more and more.
She'll be about! :)
Fantastic video. No silly music.
Amazing video, as always Nick
Thanks, Nick, for another interesting and seamless tour. You and MBY make it all look so easy. I've been looking for a MY for a while and loving it (I blame you, Nick) but this sailing yacht made me look twice! It's clean, open and efficient which I like. The door to the head through the shower is unexpected. Still a very nice sailing yacht. My plan though is to buy a MY and put it on nearby lake for a couple of years to learn all I need to know then move it to the coast and cruise the US east coast and Gulf of Mexico. I've got the dream in my head and getting closer! Thanks again, Nick.
Sounds like a plan! 🙂
Incredible how light that saloon was! Not your grandfathers dark and dusty sailboat, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Another excellent tour of the ultimate explorer platform, range - infinity and beyond. Epic potential in this boat, I love it.
Brilliant as ever, thank you. Take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍🛥🛳🏴☠️🚤⛴☠🚢⛵⚓😎
Yay, more sailboats!! Great job, as always nick!!
More to come!
What a lovely boat!
Love these sailing yachts
Personally I prefer catamarans for the balance
Still its an awesome boat! cheers Nick!!
I'd love to see you teaching us how to cook a rumsteak on the Smuggler's!!
Dude I'm in love with this sailboat, just amazing
Im totally feeling this one.
Id live on it full time if i could.
Gorgeous.
Beautiful interior, nice design. Cabins are very good too. As always a great through and interesting tour,
Glad you enjoyed it
You know I'm always commenting on sailboats to get the engagement up. Lovely boat and great tour.
Thanks!
What a bright and airy cabin, lovely
Sweet sweet sail yacht! Love the triple heads, I wasn’t expecting that. Great tour. I hope Jacques le Sac and Maggie are practicing safe social distancing when not tour boats with you. They both seem to be mischievous little ones.
Bravo!
It’s really interesting how a 60’ sail boat appears so much smaller than a 60’ power boat.
I once spent a summer sailing around the British Virgin Islands on 50’ sparkman and Steven’s sailboat. It was amazing. There is something very peaceful about sailing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of work, but having the wind push (or pull) you thru the water is a very satisfying feeling, especially when done right. I’m still a power boat guy......But will never forget my summer affair with lady A.
Beautiful sailing yacht!!!
Thanks for another great video, keep them coming, like the sailboats, like the motorboats, like the yachts, like the sea.
Thanks, will do!
I love the romance and nostalgic presence of sailing yachts, but the movements aren't very good for many guests. Thanks for showing this beautiful example of the breed Nick
Love the sailing yacht videos!
400.000 is actually a pretty good price for such a package
I love the Privilege 585 catamaran
Google it and check the layout, it's truely stunning
The price is about 640.000$
Shames it's actually £655,000 from clipper marine
@@colinfraser3998 Ooopsie I were on other websites
Bavaria are one of the plastic fantastic manufacturers. These boats don't have the high quality construction that you would find in the top brands like Hallberg-Rassy, which Nick has done a tour of on a previous video. It's possible to circumnavigate the globe on a boat like this, but you would really want to pay close attention to the weather and avoid any severe storms. Higher quality boats would certainly be able to withstand bigger storms.
Honestly, this boat is made to cruise around the Mediterranean, not so much as a globe trotter.
This boat will run 500-600k with options and a similar sized Hallberg-Rassy will run well over a million with options.
@@John-Adam Do you mean the boat from sailing Zatara? czcams.com/channels/NYlvlreZiRRHo_v5Nmrfow.html
Somewhat plusher than the similar sized Nic 55 I crewed down the Solent a few decades ago!
That is a seriously impressive interior, great use of the lighter wood to really lift it and take it to feeling genuinely massive.
Let me know when you’re taking it to Cowes Yacht Haven and I’ll sit on the Eastern Breakwater and see just how easily she parks.... 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Thanks for the tour! Very cool sail boat.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow really nice craft Nick nice to see a sailing yacht for a little change great tour as always mate thanks 👍🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
Ooh! Boats with sails are my favorite!
I'm really liking the all the new sailboat content! Keep it up :)
More coming!
@AQUAHOLIC
thank you nick for making this sailboat video
You're very welcome :)
Yessss, I wanted this review so badly. Thanks Nick!
Hope you like it!
@@AQUAHOLIC Oh I did, you just forgot to mention all the different varieties of this boat. But its okay :)
Love the videos! Cheers!
Stunning 💓
wonderful boat, a gem!
Beautiful boat!
Very nice. Just remove the sail and stick a couple of big engines in it and it would be perfect 😂 Being serious though, this is a beautiful yacht Nick.
Why not leave the mast and sails? It will be a great fun to put in new powerful engines and then go with 30 knots against the wind.😀
wow that interior looks huge
Very nice video Nick :) would be great to see more sail boats on the channel (new and old). Looking forward to more great content
More to come!
Very nice Nick 👍
Lovely boat, I prefer a centre cockpit, and I feel like the garage is a little gimmicky myself, but still a nice unit. You did not get back to the engine, but we’ll have to let it slide I suppose 😉. Another excellent Aquaholic tour. Loving the mix of sail and power these days. Here’s hoping you can get a chance to cover a solar Cat at some point.
What a huge ship for that price!
Who would have thought that opening empty cupboards and drawers on a sea caravan would be so entertaining? 🤣
Just beautiful!)
Maravilhoso o barco , parabéns pelo vídeo!
awesome boat!
I like it but I wish there was teak in the bow area. It feels great sleeping on teak on a hot summers day.
Another great tour as usual. If I could make one point. Sometimes, during the tour, it’s possible to lose orientation and it takes a little while to figure out if your facing forward or backward. It’s only a little point and it does not take from the presentation.👍
Superb
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
More sailboats🤩
More coming!
That door into the shower seems kind of stupid. Surely the toilet should be on that side if that's for day access so not requiring people to walk through the shower.
If you've been swimming off the back or drenched by a wave, getting into the shower to drain seems sensible to me ...
@@notrut but don't you have to walk through anyway?
@@notrut Seems far more likely someone is going in to go to the toilet and now they have to tramp through a potentially wet shower. As for the swimming outside scenario then it should have a shower on its bathing platform.
@@drxym Also the glass is not even opaque. It's clear. People from the common area could walk into someone from the bedroom on the loo!
My dream boat
Nice and Big this Bavaria. I believe that need a second forestay for a jib.
Great yacht, and a great review. Greetings from Poland
Hey there Poland! 🙂
only strike is the rear facing chart table. would be nice to have an electric grill under one of the pilot station benches like I saw on another boat.
Loving them sailboats! More of these please. Maybe get on board a Catalina 545 next time you're this side of the pond? That would be sexy
Nice Nick
I'd sling the tender off the stern on a pair of davits, leaving the swim platform down and convert the garage into a big lazarette with a water maker, generator, extra water and fuel tanks plus a Scuba compressor.
But that's just me.
We have a winner here! Even with the cost of those additions this boat seems like a relative bargain for what it delivers.
@@Ike_C I'll order it the day after they deposit my lottery check
@@jus4funtim For me, it's after I win the lottery and then learn how to sail!
More sailing yachts please, Nick! Best wishes :)
More coming!
Overall an impressive yacht 👍
But is it just me? I thought the wood finishing, drawers and doors looked a bit MFI. Also thought that starboard cupboard in the saloon would have made a useful day heads, especially in wet weather instead of tramping through an en-suite shower to get to the loo.
As always though a great tour, thanks Nick
