Fast, cheap way to plug a 35 mm hole in the cabinet door!😉👍🏻

I came across the situation, where I had to finish the job in timly manner. Had to plug 35 millimeter holes in the cabinet doors. Paint grade doors, meaning that the wood grain will not be visible. The cheapest kit is going for about $7.50 for a pair of plugs. I need to plug 10 doors, so about $75 for 10 kits plus tax, plus time and fuel to go to the specialized store. Well, the 35 millimeters is 1"3/8. The wood close hanging rod from the big box store is the right size. Just cut the 1/2 plugs, some glue, some sanding and you are done!😉👍🏻💪

Instead of dealing with the end grain (that will be obvious to anyone with eyes) you make a round template that, when combined with the proper straight bit, lets your router cut a perfect 35mm plug. Take a piece of 4/4 of the same species you're repairing, put tracks on the bottom of your brand new plug-cutting jig so you can make repetetive cuts in the same piece of lumber. Don't route the full depth of the material so the plugs stay pristine, and free them from their recess on the table saw.
Easy peasy. Almost like I did it once or a hundred times in 35 years of cabinet making...
