The video doesn't have the full song, but it's likely this all that was filmed (at least by this cameraman). The video is still much longer/cleaner than the broadcasted segment which has been on CZcams. After the song footage cuts there is a raw interview w/ Aretha recorded just after she came off stage.

I was there! Only 14 years old. It was ELECTRIFYING!!! We lost our minds when Aretha hit that stage! I was George Michael obsessed, so put Aretha on top of that? Unmatched! 💙💚 Their voices were superb.

Yes, but she wasn't keen on Whitney either. She was a BIG DIVA. I believe she liked Diana Ross, and Mahalia Jackson, but this lady had a very bad attitude at times.

most overused comment on every 60s/70s/80s video ever. there were artists who used similar stuff to autotune back in the day to keep them in tune and there are plenty artists of today who don't use or need it.

There is absolutely no one in music history who has had such a meteoric rise than the legendary George Michael. He-like Aretha Franklin-was truly exceptional. From 1983 to 1987 (group to solo career- years), George became a contender with Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson; juggernauts and proven stuperstars-many times over. I guess Madonna might be someone who moved to the top of the music food chain as quickly if not quicker as I am now recalling. Bravo Mr George Michael! I will forever, fondly remember your music and how it made me feel when I first heard it. God bless your spirit's journey.

I was at that show at The Palace of Auburn Hills (another rip, sadly) . I was not out yet and had a Huge crush on George Michael then. Amazing Show !!! I got to see him there again a few years later on his "Cover to Cover" tour. Sublime show , even though He didnt do Any of his own music due to the sony music/ copywrite issues .
