A huge Conservative and a huge Liberal sit down to have an actual conversation that went well, as long as it didn't get too political, of course...how refreshing!
That's how this country used to be too. I never knew what my friends political party was and they didn't know mine. Whatever happened to "don't talk about politics or religion," ? It worked and this country wasn't divided. We found common ground and all the politicians on both side ran on "bipartisanship". It was a contest of which candidate was the most bipartisan and willing to work across the aisle. Now....well we all know how it is now.

I watched SOO MUCH Tool Time growing up that I'm contractually obligated to be a Tim Allen fan.
Me too, I love Tim Allens work. Especially Home Improvement it was one of my favorite shows of the 90’s.
After re-reading this I realized I typed "Tool Time" instead of "Home Improvement" lol... but I'm sure you all know what I meant.

I as a Master at my trade relate to and understand exactly what Tim Allen means. I never understand what people do that don’t produce a result after they work. I can always prove that what I do is finished or the results will be obvious. The doers of society can solve all problems with doing. I saw him perform in Las Vegas and he was awesome. His performance was all about being raised in a home full of women. He was so funny and it was very family friendly.

Being born the 94, growing up, loved buzz lightyear in toy story, and loved home improvement and that was becoming popular when I was an infant and from time I was 5 years old. Tim Allen is super hilarious and a awesome man. Really admire Tim.

My husband would be so perfect for Assembly Required. His brain and mechanical ability were the first things which attracted me to him. I know if he can’t fix it then it likely can’t be fixed.

I really like this interview Who cares if he is a conservative I think we focused too much on politics in the last four years that this is how we should do interviews. Just not talk about them with celebrities for a while. I am tired of hearing about politics and to be able to listen to Tim Allen in the amazing things that he’s doing is really cool. I never knew he was so fascinated by spiders and what he does for the homeless is simply amazing who cares what party he supports. We need to move on from that.
Tim is right. We need to stop hating people we disagree with. This isn't 1930s Germany.

Portland experimented with giving one camp of homeless WiFi. The camp went away, they got jobs or other things. WiFi and a tablet can do a lot!

I'm not so sure about that. Pretty much every library has free wifi but I am not sure it gets the homeless into jobs. A lot has to do with good jobs being available and incentive
@Kendra VanBurkleo It worked for you because you wanted a job. Not every homeless person wants a job. Many are mentally ill or want to be independent and not have responsibilities.
@@joeman5220 a lot of libraries won’t allow homeless people in. I’ve seen them sent out in a couple cities and towns around me.

I agree. I don’t know where I really stand on the political spectrum. Fiscally I guess I’m far left, socially kind of in between and definitely not into political correctness and canceling but I just don’t understand how we all can’t sit down like these two political opposites and talk and laugh.

This Assembly Required show he’s working on sounds remarkably similar to a show on the BBC here in the U.K. called The Repair Shop. I love it. The things people tend to bring on are sometimes old but also of significance, like family airlooms and it’s wonderful watching the guys on the show bring them back to life. If Assembly Required is in fact the same then you should definitely watch it.
