The bar was put on this saw for milling, just thought I would upload a video on it because I thought it was neat. Watch out using a bar shorter than the wood your cutting too, not saying you can’t because I do as well but that will increase the chance for kick back too.
@@9.16TreeService Actually the opposite is true, IMO. Longer bar can reach past a cut to hit wood behind to kick back, AND the longer bar provides more moment arm to propel it. Shorter (a bit) bar is no prob, since I can easily keep it within the piece I'm cutting. Usual precautions always apply, of course. Shorter bar makes for easier filing, too. Bucking with a 20" on a 576 is a hoot, IMO.
@@jacquesblaque7728 you are right about the kick back on the long bar I will say too.. this is not an everyday set up however as I was saying it was new and wanted to put it in some wood haha, I do know a bar too short as I said can cause kick back and I will stand by what I said, in general you should always understand that a saw isn’t the safest tool which I know you understand. The 576xp is a mean saw 👍🏼 wasn’t trying to start an argument with ya hope you understand!
O Machado e a Motosserra Eli Silva & Zé Goiano Composição: Moacir dos Santos / Zé Goiano o machado e a motosserra tiveram uma discussão motosserra diz que é orgulho da evolução machado pra mim já era pois vem do tempo de adão você agora só serve pra fazer calo na mão motosserra dá um ronco relou o dente no tronco já se vê o pau no chão a serra chamou o machado pra fazer uma porfia machado aceitou na hora e quando chegou o dia entraram junto no mato pra mostrar a serventia a motosserra roncava machado velho tinia e naquele matagal foi só cavaco de pau pó de serra que subia e esse grande duelo deste jeito é que termina na briga das ferramentas o machado é que domina motosserra parou cedo ali no tronco da quina machado seguiu cortando mata grossa e mata fina motosserra impotente rebentou sua corrente acabou a gasolina que isto sirva de exemplo para toda humanidade e você que é tão jovem tem que saber a verdade respeite bem os mais velhos não brinque com sua idade uma pessoa idosa também tem utilidade é um diamante valioso se não tivesse o idoso não teria mocidade

Funny how over-length bar just gets in the way, looking for trouble to get into. IMO, better it be a bit shorter than the wood, and adjusted properly.

What chain are you running?
It s a ripping chain, the bar and chain combo was purchased for milling not so much falling or cutting firewood
Is it me or is that chain a bit loose
It’s loose from getting a bit stretched during break in haha
