Assuming both ends of a hose are accessible, is there a preference for removing the thru hull side vs engine side? I'd think I rather NOT fool with the thru hull side and not risk any wear to the hose on that end, and run my bucket hose into the engine. Opinions?❤
That's a good question. I wouldn't think it would make any difference which end of the hose you used in the bucket of coolant because you risk some damage to the hose every time you remove at either end. The guy in the video has done it this way for 30+ years without an issue. I would replace the hoses on a regular schedule anyway
@@MrShankwheat Turns out I fitting I see on my raw water strainer is a bypass T so I don't even have to remove the hose - nice! I think anyway. Thank you, I'm coming up to speed on most of this now.
Thanks for sharing....will be useful on my C30 with the same 5411 (1982)....well done!

I am about to do this. It looks like you didn't use Marine Anti freeze just car antifreeze. I guess that works
Hi, We just used Preston RV/Marine -100F antifreeze and it worked fine. Good luck.
Thermostat?
