Not true. If you're working with a lender who knows what they're doing, they can get your credit report rapidly re-scored which will update within 24 hours. I've done this 100s of times!

Never pay a collection unless the collection agency agrees to DELETE it once paid and they put the agreement to delete in writing. Most CA's will settle for a lesser amount, some as low as 30%. Paying off a collection does absolutely nothing for you if it remains on your credit report. It would need to be deleted. If you have collections that are due to age off your report in a year or less, don't do anything with those. Just let them age off.

I am a stay at home mom, my credit score is about 530- I have charged off several things on my report and have been working At this for years, I literally have 30 pages of a credit report. No matter what I do to pay a bill off it doesn’t improve my score. I have never had a store card or any unsecured credit card. It’s like a right of passage for teens(18 year olds, etc) to get a basic card and I’m sitting here at 55 and I can’t even get anything. I’ve never even been able to get an apartment on my own. Maybe you should not tell people their credit scope will increase over night. It takes 30 days for an creditor to report to all agencies.

Hey man, great content! I'm def not a bot, and i just wanted to say thanks for the good info.
I am a stay at home mom, my credit score is about 530- I have charged off several things on my report and have been working At this for years, I literally have 30 pages of a credit report. No matter what I do to pay a bill off it doesn’t improve my score. I have never had a store card or any unsecured credit card. It’s like a right of passage for teens(18 year olds, etc) to get a basic card and I’m sitting here at 55 and I can’t even get anything. I’ve never even been able to get an apartment on my own. I feel like a failure. I can’t travel because I can’t book hotels, rent cars, etc. I just want to be like everyone else
@anabel I can recommend you to a credit fix expert..I have known him for 6 months,he is an expert professional and a class act at what he does..He took out my student loans,negative items,evictions,bankruptcy and got my score up to 790 within 48 hours..Let me know if you are interested in hiring him
