Does anyone know if there are specific states with counties that you don’t have to wait 3 years to do a quiet claim on the property or is it all the same rules? Also if the property is vacant and you bought the tax lien for the first year could you rent it out to tenants since it’s already vacant?

If I bid on a tax lien, and they don't pay it after year 1, do I have to bid on the tax lien again the next year? When does/do I know that the property goes to foreclosure? Do you begin this process? How are you notified that you won a bid? What happens after this? If you win the bid, and the payment isn't made for the full year, this goes back to auction? How do you get your money back? If you bid again, that means you have to pay again as the property continues to sit there. At what point do you make money in this situation? Do you just lose the money from your first bid? Or is it accumulative upon payment or foreclosure (if you bid two years, are you given 2 years of interest)? What is an over the counter tax lien and where do you find them? Google searching just brings up more "tutorials" on tax liens and people asking you to pay them for advice that isn't actually helpful.

I do have some questions can you only buy them in the county an state you live in or can I also buy in any state?
