    I've been using FORSCAN since I got my 2015. First change I made on that truck was Bambi mode. I havent made any changes to my 2021 yet though.
    Great video.

    Very helpful video! I got rid of the double-honk within a week of purchasing my truck. It’s a bit more complicated than the double- honk elimination, but I would recommend enabling the glare-free headlights as your next Forscan modification.

      Yeah I did a delivery at 615am today on a quiet street and was very happy not to have the double-honk. Cheers

    Great content. Love all the videos. Do you know of a way to disable the auto start/stop in sport mode on the Powerboost? I usually drive in normal, but when I do switch to sport, I would like the truck to just stay on all the time. Thanks for all the great videos!

      Hi Shane, there is an entry for "auto start-stop disabled" at PSCM/730-03-01 which is near the top of livnitup's "common" worksheet. I don't know if that is ICE-motor specific or also applies to the PowerBoost. I think I've had mine in sport mode twice in two years, maybe I'll do a little hooning on it later...lol. cheers

    You are super helpful. I have a 2023 Powerboost Lariat. Can you do a FORScan episode on remote rolling down windows from the remote? I would think this might be helpful in SC to let the heat out of the interior as you approach it.

    Another really good video. I just did the 'fix' myself on my '22 PB and it works like a charm. Thank you! Do you know if there if there's a similar 'fix' for the double-honk that happens when you lock the keys in the truck? ......... I look forward to learning what some of the other 'things you can't live with anymore' are!

      David, I would learn to use the keypad on the driver's side. Hugely useful...like when your wife has the keys and you're outside the truck and it's raining...or when you're outside and you need something out of the truck and don't want to have to go back inside just to unlock it. Big time saved my bacon several times.

      @fixorrepairdiy4609 Thanks for the reply. I do use the keypad quite frequently. There are times when I prefer to leave the keys in the truck - most specifically when I attend church. So, at those times I would prefer to be able to lock them in the truck without having to deal with the double-honk when I accidentally forget and lock the truck from the inside door and get the BEEP BEEP when I should have locked it with the external keypad (it's easy to do from habit /forgetfulness). That's why I was hoping for a similar fix.

    FixOrRepairDIY : Question, I picked up a FORScan usb adaptor for my laptop and bought a year of support from FORScan. I was wondering, I wanted to eliminate the doublehonk as you did but I noticed that Ford has been updating Sync4 several times this last couple months, such that I need to reset my viewing screen every time after a new download. If you are also getting these updates over-the-air, do you or have you had to reprogram the doublehonk cancellation or does updating by Ford leave that setting alone? Kindest Regards, James

    What about updating tire size to fix MPH and MPG calculations after getting larger tires.

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Jonathan, there is a documented process for accomplishing this tire size reset. Start out with livinitup's document/guide, it should be there. cheers

      @@fixorrepairdiy4609 I will check it out, I can’t get my 2021 Powerboost to get over 20mpg average and it’s frustrating. I bought it used with 19k miles on it and it has larger tires so I was wondering if it was a computer calculation problem??

    Will this void my warranty on a 22? Awesome videos!

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609

      I think it depends on the dealer. If you make this mod it's quite simple to put it back to stock and no one will be the wiser. Cheers

    • @hmata3
      @hmata3 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Livnitup's guide says the dealer needs to prove that any changes you made led to a defective part, e.g. disabling a horn messed up a steering gear, for example. Such modifications that do void warranties are obvious to the dealer, and can be for increasing horse power or something else.

    Did I miss something, what told you the last digit should be 0 as opposed to some other number

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, the spreadsheet code takes some getting used to. The first cluster is specified as "xxx0" so the "x" values are "don't care" and any time you see a specific number, that is the value that you need to change.

    • @babbitteb
      @babbitteb Před 6 dny

      @@fixorrepairdiy4609 In the third column of this change to get rid of the double honk, the spreadsheet reads "XX--". I noticed at the top of livinitup's spreadsheet that it mentioned what you said re: ignoring the X's, but do you know what the double dashes means?

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609
      @fixorrepairdiy4609  Před 5 dny

      @@babbitteb I don't know what the double dashes mean. From my limited experience, it seemed to me that it was another example of "don't care" values. I do know that I ignored the values in the "- -" fields and got my mods to work, if that helps.
