At an airbase in Denmark, the Danish Air Force has been training six Ukrainian fighter pilots to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon using the Danish, Norwegian, and Belgian Air Force fighter jets.
A coalition of NATO Allies, including Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, has agreed to donate their F-16s to the Ukrainian Air Force. As part of the deal, Danish instructors at Skrydstrup Air Base train Ukrainian pilots, technicians, and ground crew how to fly and maintain the F-16.
The Ukrainian pilots are praised for the F-16, noting its responsive controls and agile flight features.
    Thanks for watching.
    Hope you enjoy it !!

Putin must know his rhetoric is escalation on its own because Ukraine is not a nuclear power. He knows just because the F-16s are nuclear payload capable, does not mean Ukraine is capable. US or NATO would not re introduce nuclear capability with Ukrainians. Nuclear weapons are only limited to countries that have a nuclear weapons program. Nukes are not a weapon just handed out to every allies. That would be irresponsible. Unlike the Soviets that gave this technology to the Chinese and North Korea and has helped the India and Pakistan and is helping Iran to develop this technology.

Everyone rages about Germany not sending the Taurus missile, but it's not the only variant. The Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles sent by the British and French are the short range versions. Neither of these countries how allowed the long ranger version to go to Ukraine either. I note this because when you look at the second highest donor of military aid to Ukraine, it is Germany. When you look at all the words coming from Emmanuel Macron, one could be easily fooled into thinking he's ready to send the French army, and yet the French have sent so little and Macron even shamefully went to Putin's most recent inauguration.

Seems more likely that the F-16 will first replace the Su-24 as a missile truck for long range weapons such as Storm Shadow. The Su-24 are the oldest and least numerous fighters that Ukraine has in service.
After that, phasing out the Su-25 ground attack fighters would make sense because they are the most vulnerable and tactics can shift to somewhat longer ranges using glide bombs instead of rockets.
MiG-29 and Su-27 models that Ukraine has are dated but still serviceable in some roles. They tend to have more limited capabilities than the F-16 for beyond visual range air to air combat in particular but the Su-24 and Su-25 are much worse for air to air as they are designed almost entirely for ground attack. F-16, MiG-29, and Su-27 are all multirole fighters that can either be used for air to air or air to ground as needed.
F-16 will become their best fighter for both air to air and air to ground roles. The question is which role is in more urgent need of an upgrade for the most common missions. Most missions for fighters in modern fighter combat are air to ground.
The F-16s will also probably get some air to air kills but I suspect that this will just push Russian fighters to launch weapons from further away inside Russia, where it would be risky to chase them inside the Russian air defenses.

I think that a better idea would be for the western governments to make it known that they will not persecute any of their retired pilots and ground crew who would form "volunteer squadrons" modeled on the "Flying Tigers" in WWII and the various other volunteer squadrons in WWI and II. They would form the core of the new squadrons, providing experience and and mentoring and guidance for the new Ukrainian pilots.
The russian planes can be modified to carry western weapons, but they do not have the electronics to support the full functionality, the full feature sets, of those weapons! The F-16 does.

I have to question the general’s take that those Danish F-16s are competitive to the most current combat aircraft. Those were Block 20/30 air frames, even with upgrades. There’s a reason why Denmark ordered and received F-35s.
While the F-16 is superior to the F-35 in BFM. The current Danish F-16s are lack the avionics, EW suite & BVR capabilities of the F-35. As such, the F-35 is replacing their F-16s and this allows Denmark to give them for free to Ukraine.
Now, I don’t see a time when anyone will give Ukraine free F-16V Block 70s. The most current, modern F-16. Superior radar, long range, better avionics, etc.
