remember that the name is 'beast titan' because it look like a big monster thing that THEY NEVER EVER SAW BEFORE. That's orang utan. tropical big ape.

edit; many anime and many stories often be like so dumb like.. the author is telling and not showing. also, doesn't care about the story's logic. But Shingeki no Kyojin here, the author is rational. care about the story's logic. so, we can use real life logic for this story.
unlike stories like.. naruto or something. full with plot armor and unnecessary jutsu name screaming. 'dragon fire punch1' or something

there is this OVA named 'ilse's journal'. it's actually MUSTWATCH before season 2.
even the cooking contest OVA also need to watch because it shows a bit of some characters lore. especially Jean. kinda a bit spoiler sorry but it's not a big stuff

Just to let you guys know Captain Miche was literally second to Levi in the Scouts in terms of skill. Before Levi was brought into the Scouts, Miche (or Section Commander Miche) was known as Humanity's Greatest Warrior before Levi took that mantle.

i can still remember the chills i felt when that beast titan started to talk for the first time
27:17 "Why are you so nice when you talk?" because Sasha talks in very formal/polite Japanese to hide her mountaineer accent/dialect. That's why she switches back to her dialect when she aims her arrow and said "Get runnin'!"
But another great detail, 28:47 when she throws away her bow to face the Titan head on for the kid, shows how she did change to a soldier. She kept to her identity, but also grew as a person.
It's such an overlooked detail but god, it's been years and it still gives me goosebumps.

The best thing about Attack on Titan is that there eventually are answers to every question, and man are they satisfying, thought-out answers.🙂 And as weird as it sounds, this show hasn’t even begun to get “good” yet, as good as it is at this point ☺️
First time I saw the beast titan in the manga, I had a looming feeling. Seeing it wandering in the distance while Mike was near it made me so uneasy, like I knew it was very bad, that titan was dangerous and Mike should get away fast. Reminder that the manga doesn't have colors but only black and white, a lot of things are left to your imagination. It was... _very_ creepy. When it talked, I had massive goosebumps. I felt scared for Mike. I felt scared for everyone as they didn't know what they were up against. I didn't know either. There's just something scary and creepy about the unknown.
Same. It just instantly had this extremely creepy vibe. Where you wanted to run as fast as you could away.
When you finish this season, you will fall in love with the opening song and understand why its arguably the best opening !

You have finally heard the AoT fans' national anthem. "Sasageyo sasageyo! Shinzou wo sasageyo" meaning "give/dedicate your heart."
And to answer your question, i think i almost peed my pants when i first saw furball walk and talk. I literally screamed in shock! Hahahaha
Okay so as a bit of a breakdown of the layout of the walls:
There are 3 walls, Maria (the outermost wall), Rose (the middle wall) and Sina (the innermost wall). Every wall has 4 small districts which have their own wall and are connected to the main wall with a gate. These districts were meant to focus the attention of titans in specific spots along the walls, and are the only points along the walls where gates connecting them are. Shiganshina is one of those cities along Wall Maria, the outermost wall, and is the city in the first episode where Eren grew up (and where the Basement is 👀).
The Colossal Titan breaks the gate connecting the outside world and the titans to Shiganshina District but if the gate to Wall Maria had closed the titans would’ve been stuck there. Instead the Armoured Titan broke that gate which allowed the titans into the first wall, Wall Maria.
Due to this, humanity retreated back to the next inner wall, Rose. But because there were so many people there were food shortages so the refugees above a certain age were sent on a suicide mission to ‘retake the walls’. Even still there was a lack of food so that’s where Sasha and her dad come into it. They were part of a hunting community inside Wall Rose and the government wanted to get rid of their forest and replace it with grain farms to grow more food.
Trost District (where Eren had to use the rock to seal the hole the Colossal Titan made) is the same as Shiganshina but for Wall Rose. And Stohess District (where they fought Annie) is the same for Wall Sina.
So right now the Survey Corps are in Wall Rose while Eren and everyone in command are coming from within Wall Sina.
And in order to get to the Basement, they’ll have to get through Titan infested Wall Maria (the biggest wall) and the infested city of Shiganshina :))) we’ve got a long way to go!!

Originally, Isayama planned to have her die there, but after his editor heard about it she locked herself in the bathroom and cried for hours. Afterwards she begged him to change it and let Sasha live.
So Sasha survived thanks to that editor! :D

I've only been into anime for a year. Currently, I'm watching Hunter X Hunter. Demon Slayer, JJK, Fullmetal, Vinland Saga, amongst others, are good to great shows... but AOT is in my top 5 stories in entertainment history, not just anime.

Sasha and Connie's village are part of inside the wall that doesn't have Titans that's why there are people thriving in those places but like what the soldier said that it looks like "the wall has been breached" When I saw that "Beast Titan" for the first time and it talked, I was so shocked and it made me more interested with this anime, it's just so good! You guys are the best, amazing job!

By mid Season 3, it's going to get intense and heavy and faster. And By S4, youd be giving your hearts out to the squad and creator of this series for always keeping you on your toes and mightve worn some merch by then😂
It's a slow burn type of story but the details shown in each season is quite relevant as they do end up going back and forth w flashback of the details. So take note of what the characters say. If it sounds serious, then it will come back eventually😂

Yea, the last intro that was an anthem-like one was like an introduction to the Survey Corps / Scout Regimen, slow, methodical and very government oriented. This one is full of potential energy until it gets to the drop where you hear an uplifting burst of patriotism and optimism of the military. A glimmer of hope so to speak.
What yall need to remember and pay attention to are the middle of episode pictures it shows. They give a lot of little details and good info that pertain to the episode or future stuff. Especially a map. Remember that this civilization is a three tier wall set. The first one was breached and now they’re hiding within the second tier.
The no regrets oav takes place 1 year before the first wall break, and from that to the current timeline you're watching, 5 years have passed, so Levi has been in the scouts for 6 years
Oh, I don't think anyone has mentioned it but, even for the tv show, there are no more writers, since all the dialogue, scenes and characters, are taken directly from the manga, from start to finish, this is due to the way a manga is structured, at the same time, the few changes made in the anime were requested by the mangaka hajime isayama, since he was directly involved in the development of the whole series! c:

Yes. You guys were right. When Season 2 finally dropped for us and we got that Beast Titan that spoke to other titans, we were dumb-founded. It definitely sent the message that "things are going to get even crazier."
SHINZOU SASAGEYO (Dedicate Your Heart or Offer Your Heart) is Survey Corps' slogan whenever they put their fist over the chest. The opening title is SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO.

I think it's important to point out that Titans do have a desire and want, to consume humans. They are naturally attracted to large populations of humans and they do seem to derive pleasure in consuming them, they just don't derive any physical sustenance from it.
All of these little towns are actually inside the walls. In the first season you saw the titans breach Wall Maria, so all of the towns between Wall Maria and Wall rose are overrun with titans. Then when the second attack happened you saw them attack Wall Rose, the attack failed and you saw Eren close it with a boulder. Sasha and Connie's home towns are actually in the fields between Wall Sina (Where all the rich people live) and Wall Rose.

When I saw this for the first time after 4 years I was shocked and creeped out by the beast titan. And the way Mike died justified it even more. I didn’t know what to expect after this!
