Could you do a What if Goku and Vegeta were the same age, however you increase Goku's age? I suppose this would make Goku and Raditz twins but it's an interesting idea
I don't think Goku would survive for long until adulthood. It more than likely wouldn't have a happy or decent ending.

Hrm... True. But also keep in mind. No Vegeta means no Trunks. No Trunks means no heart medicine OR time machine. So now we are in the beginning of the Future Trunks timeline, but without the saiyan/namek/frieza arcs. And with no way for Cell to come back into the present timeline.
It is POSSIBLE, that Gohan would still escape, possibly becoming the first Super Saiyan after watching all his friends die. Because Gero has no data from Namek or other Saiyans, Androids 17-20 would all be scaled differently, and possibly released sooner.. maybe around the start of the original Namek saga.
Now, Mr. Popo would come to Gohan and tell him about Kami's race and the power of the Dragonballs being tied to him/Piccolo, sparking a new Namek saga which features Gohan attempting to reason with the Namekians without a doomsday timer or any other interference, bringing the Z-Fighters back to life. And because Namek is where it was originally, they could reach the planet just the same as they had in the original timeline.
Over the course of this new "Namek Saga", Gohan would find that the Namekian people are incredibly strong. While they would still lose to him in a fight, it is clear that, as a people, they are collectively stronger than the inhabitants of Earth. If Namekians (or any other similarly-powered race were to send an army to Earth, the planet would be entirely wiped out. Even though Gohan trusts the Namekians (and the Namekians trust him) he keeps this knowledge in the back of his mind as he gathers his final Dragon Ball.
So first, he wishes back all his friends. And because of Gohan's hatred for the androids, he wishes 17 & 18 be destroyed And with a final wish, he could return home instantaneously... But he changes his mind. Instead, Gohan wishes asks the Namekians to bring his friends to Namek.
After all, this Gohan is Namek-Saga age. Realizing he is out of his depth against Piccolo's people... And that Piccolo was a fierce force to be reckoned with, on Earth (meaning that Namekians had greater potential than the ones who were on this planet)... Gohan wishes the Z-Fighters to Namek so they can become stronger.
So The Z-Warriors learn all they can from the Namekians, teaching them what they knew, in exchange, before the Z-Warriors head home. Over the years, Gohan, Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Piccolo grow substantially in power, though SSJ2 is never unlocked.
However, it was all for naught, as it is now that the timeline starts to become dark.
Babidi and Dabura awaken Buu, having killed all of the Z-Fighters who attempted to stop them... However, it takes much longer than they anticipated, due to the SIGNIFICANTLY lower Kili ratings of Earth from the original timeline. However, because Mr. Satan never has to deal with Cell, he is never treated as the savior of earth, and as such, never goes to fight Majin Buu.
Because of this, Super Buu never exists. Fat Buu is all there is.
There is a possibility that, Supreme Kai may have found someone able to stand up against Buu... but it is unlikely. From there, the story goes the same as what Carthu said... Buu wreaks havoc and Beerus does nothing about it.

Nick Gruver There was never a need for Cell in the first place. In fact, there was never a need for 17 or 18. Dr. Gero would be more than capable of killing Goku himself.
In fact, without Raditz arriving, Piccolo would probably kill Goku with the makankosappo like he originally planned. Piccolo then kidnaps Gohan and takes over the world, keeping one dragon ball on hand to make sure Goku isn’t revived. Without the motivator of revenge, and with the reincarnated Demon King reigning over humanity, Dr. Gero would actually devote his efforts to destroying Piccolo and liberating humanity.
Gero proceeds to use his technical genius to further the development of mankind, particularly in the fields of cybernetics and power generation. With the infinite engine, civilization is no longer dependent on fossil fuels or nuclear power.

I know a better scenario: bardock realises that planet Vegita will be destroyed and thinks his son could never defeat frieza and hence tried telling about friezas plans to the higher ups. Paragus meets bardock and agrees that atleast the younger Saiyans should survive. Paragus explains this to king Vegita and they send broly Vegita and other Saiyans to other planet with paragus to train them. What if they were sent to yardrat.

What if Goku's head injury didn't completely get rid of his saiyan nature but instead made it a split personality which is called Kakarot that takes over whenever Goku gets really angry or is in a real exciting battle with a strong opponent? Basically making him a Saiyan version of Launch.

If you put a twist on this I could see King Vegeta sending a message to either his wife or to one of his advisers to send prince vegeta to another world asap before frieza destroys planet Vegeta. In panic the queen of all saiyans sends Vegeta to earth because she saw on the data list that a saiyan was recently sent there without authorization. Then everything happens the same and planet vegeta gets destroyed but instead Goku and Vegeta grow up as brothers and very similar things happen.
Where would Vegeta be sent if he were in Goku’s position as a child? You should do a what if Goku and Vegeta traded places?

Agree he focused on destroying the saiyans instead of actually doing a what if Goku and Vegeta were the same age, how would that change the saiyan saga? Again he doesn't focus on this instead just killing everybody. One of his worst what ifs!

Missed lots of potential here. Without Raditz, Piccolo successfully uses his special beam cannon to kill Goku around the same timeframe. His friends revive him, and he returns to defeat piccolo once and for all. Piccolo dies, but kills Gohan along the way. With no Dragonballs to revive Gohan, Goku travels to Namek with Krillin, Tien and Yamcha, encountering a relatively weak Frieza Force colonising the planet. And so the story changes...
I'd like to see a what-if about Vegeta wishing the Saiyans back to life. If you'd be up for that.

When I first saw Vegita,and the way his English voice sounded,it seemed he was about TWENTY years older than Goku. If you ask me,it fits much better looking at Vagita's parted side hair and the gruff voice to match. Vegita talking AND having that hairstyle at around 22 talking gruff like that is not believable lol. He sounded closer but still too old for his age when he first appears in DBZ.
This was a great "what if", although I would say that the "frieza force" would be under Babidi's control thus resulting in the frieza force going to earth and encountering the "z fighters".

Now it would be an interesting topic to see what if goku Raditz and vegeta were as old as Broly..... for it to be that the whole next generation is the same age and for them to be more close to each other as if they were all brothers (or at least what if goku was as old as vegeta, as well as raditz being the same age or Raditz being younger than goku, the choice is yours)

To answer what if Kakarot were as old as Vegeta which means Raditz's twin, he'd be with the Saiyan trio for over twenty years. And they'd all likely perish by the Frieza empire or go into hiding similar to Tarble. Unless they all get destroyed along with the Saiyan race except Tarble, Paragus, and Broly. The only way for them to rebel against Frieza & King Cold is to go to Vampa to enlist Broly & battle them. But that's highly unlikely.
I would love if paragas in this situation become the ssj, and take time to make king vegeta run, so he can make an artificial moon and call all the sayan to safe the planet, to have the what if planet vegeta survives with all sayan

Goku is actually 2 or 3 years younger than Vegeta in the Manga but in the Anime he's 5 years younger.

You should do one where what if both Goku and Vegeta were sent to Earth with this concept and have them at different places like Vegeta lands at capsule Corp and Goku lands in the forest so when Bulma meets Goku Vegeta as either still with his family that adopted him or Goku and him switched places where Goku was found by the briefs and Vegeta was the one who hit his head but you still named Vegeta being raised by grandpa Gohan which would still allow Goku could not hook up with Bulma and Trunks to still be born between Vegeta and Bulma

Goku is still born in age 736 he's 3 years old when the planet was destroyed in 739 that's in Jaco the galactic patrolman. 39 years later super begins in 778.
That Jaco manga starts 10 years before DB that makes Baby Goku 2 years old

Age 739 > Planet Vegeta is destroyed. Goku is sent to Earth. Jaco is sent to Earth to capture Goku
Age 749 > DB starts

JoJozu Joestar pretty sure that they still didn’t know about SSJ. The drones that recorded gokus adventures didn’t go to namek, since it was destroyed in gokus fight with vegeta. However, the robot that gathered DNA for cell wasn’t destroyed, and it gathered freeza and cold’s DNA from their fight with trunks. (Or goku in trunk’s timeline)
