Wow that drone footage was awesome! I tip my cycling cap for guys going through the desert, but driving to Vegas is a good idea. Lawrence looked he didn’t want to eat, which quite common when it is that hot, and he probably isn’t replacing the 6k of calories his used today. That kind of deficient will come back to haunt him in the days ahead. Good luck you three!

This is just epic. Guys, grew up in California and now live in Utah. Made this drive dozens of times. Just driving from LA to Las Vegas sucks. Getting out in Baker and dragging my butt into Bun Boy to get something to eat is a chore in 110 degree heat. Work up a sweat doing a lottery scratch off in the gas station parking lot. Serious respect for you.

Its a dry heat :) Tubeless is your friend on US roads where glass/metal on the shoulder are common place. I have had one puncture that needed a plug in around 2000 mi. That is a change from every 2 weeks needing a new tube Conti's 4000 or gatorskins. Tubeless sealant/set up does suck on road tires and it get everywhere when you have a puncture so a dynaplug or similar is needed.

Everyday these guys face the hardest day on their bikes while here I am crying to go up a 75m climb cos no one wants to follow me hahaha
When you've got back and recovered, the 3 of you have got to sit down with a few beers and put together a full-length film of your trip. There's been some stunning scenery, epic days (of pain ;-) ) in the saddle , great music and proper laugh-out-loud moments across both of your vlogs. As someone said below, these are beginning to take on documentary proportions. Can't wait for the next one.
Drone footage is taking these videos to the next level. Guess you’re just going to need to keep Lawrence with you at all times from here on out. Glad you survived the desert!
You guys are awesome! Being from a northern climate cycling the desert in the summer, take a cab it's not worth your health or lives! Party in Vegas, eat drink and be happy! You've done plenty to boast and be happy about.

When I went through kelso is was all good. Though I was in an air conditioned SUV doing 135 mph. The heat was unbearable in April so doing this in June is crazy

Riding bikes thru the dessert very impressive and totally a suffer fest. I can’t imagine how hot it is, the heat irradiated from the tarmac makes it even worse, I have a feeling tire-sealant will not work in this temps. Epic adventure and loving the vids. Stay safe guys!

yea, welcome to America. You need thorn tires in the southwest. they are a little heavier and slower but they don't go flat. I even used them riding messenger in NY. Thorn tires. Nice video man. You guys are kings right now for taking this ride on in the summer.

Ay Mate, can I suggest that if you blokes fancy doing this bit of motoring again that you get a support car. It would make it a heck of a lot more pleasant. 30-40 degrees on treacherous roads with lorries buzzing by at 100+ kph is no joking matter.
