Thank You. Very helpful video. I bought a 2009 HD Trike. Was thrilled when I heard I could get a set of V and H Big shots on it. I waited to long to do that. Now they added a baffle and they only come in chrome at the moment. I can't find a sound test video. Right now these pipes of yours is my clear choice. I'm not depressed about the situation any longer .

I had black Rinehart 3.5 inch slip-ons installed on my 09 King and have never-ever looked back. To me, my 3.5" Rinehart's sound super strong and deep. They sound a whole lot better than some of the newer Harleys today. Those Khrome Werks are sharp looking but sound a bit too muffled to me. Welp, I think I found my new pipes. I was at a harley shop talking tonsomw guys about pipes and they said very similar to what you said about the growl and the low end sound. Thanks!

They sound really good! We had Rinehart Motopro45 on our Ultra Limited and then we went to the Rinehart DBX45 on our Road Glide Limited. I think most of the slipons will sound better on a twin cam over the Milwaukee 8. Great video!

My 17 CVO SG came with KW’s when I bought it used last year. It sounded like a go-kart. Not to mention the baffles were completely rusted out on the inside. Switched to the Rinehart DBX45’s and sounded 100% better. Added the slimline header and she screams now.

Just switched to these from Rinehart 4" slip ons. The low sound and fullness won me over - and the Rineharts had a mid-range drone that, at highway speed, got to be intrusive and after full day in the saddle caused ringing in the ears...even with earplugs and full helmet. These are lower, quieter at highway speed. Just what I was looking for!
Yes, the ear ringing is the last thing you want on a touring bike. The low end rumble that you can feel is so good on these. I am glad you are enjoying them.

I installed mine this morning. The low rumble is intoxicating. The sound is unbelievable and everyone knows I'm coming and no one cuts me off. In fact, some move out of my way. lol

Nice video. Pipes look and sound good. You mentioned TAB Zombies. I'll put my observations here. I've ran 4.5 Zombies with the Z-Rings and Torque cones for roughly 6000 miles on my 2020 Road King Special. For me they looked and performed very well. Fast forward to install of the Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2 head pipe with Ventilator Air Cleaner and Fuel Moto Power Vision tune. Can you say Extremely Satisfied with the same Tab Zombies I was already running. I've never tried Khrome Werks, so with that in mind, I'd say they would have to be pretty amazing to do better than the Tabs on my set-up. Fit/Finish/Performance of the Tabs would be very difficult to match or beat in my humble opinion. Not attempting to discount Krome Werks. I'm sure they make a great product. I'm glad they are working out for you. You'll be pretty stoked whenever you change the head pipe with a good stage 1 tune. Makes a very noticeable difference in the ride. Take care.

I'm looking to get new slip ons for my dad's '18 Tri Glide. He has Woods cam, Fuel Moto head pipe, V&H mufflers and Power Vision tuner now. While I like the V&H mufflers I want more/better sound and performance. I have really been leaning on the Tab's with zombie baffles. In your opinion since you've ran both you say Khrome Works sound and perform better? He wants his bike to bark btw. Can I get both y'alls opinions?

Pipes are so hard to decide on. I myself like that low-end thump and the fact you can feel it.
Khrome Werks 4.5 Hp Plus
I just added these Khrome Werks 4.5 Hp Plus slip on mufflers today. My previous Road Glide had Tab 4.5 with the Zombie baffles which I loved but at times I could of been happier with them not as loud on long hwy rides. Anyway I decided on my new bike which is Completely stock, to go with Khrome Werks feeling they wouldn’t be as loud and have a nice deep tone. Seems like they’re exactly what I expected, i rode about 100miles with them today and my Bike ran perfect with these slip on’s I really didn’t notice any loss of torque, no decel pop and a constant deep tone coming from these mufflers at all times, and not super loud, you definitely feel the rumble and hear it, they sound really nice and deep without being to noisy. I’m happy my Bike is still running great just like it was before I added these slip on’s.
That’s the same issue I had when I tried Tabs. They don’t sound bad , but I found them painful on long highway rides so to the ear ringing. I feel like even with the fully KW system on my new bike they are the right tone for my taste without the ear pain.
Install KW 4.5 HP Plus on my CVO. I love it!

I got a 93 FLHS with dual fishtails that recently failed. I just purchased the Krome Werks headers and the HP+ mufflers. Still waiting for the mufflers to get here and I can't wait to put them on.

@@BryTheBiker When I looked up the parts I couldn't find anything for a bike as old as mine. Luckily I contacted Krome Werks and a Representative gave me part numbers that would work. Thank you for watching. These are the pipes with the stock baffles that came with them. I tried the inserts on the full KW system on my road glide and while they did seem to add a bit of power I didn’t care for the way they sound. The full system sounds so mean.
Yep, got rid of Rinehart Xtreme True duals with the 4” Slip ons on my 2016 FLTRU and went with the TAB 50cals with 2.5 baffles. You are correct that the Zombies sound tinny…… but if you had tried the 2.5 baffles you would have gotten that “oh wow” grunt. Glad you’re happy with what you got. They sound pretty good! Did they send them for free?

I’ve got a question for you I bought a set of shark Road slip. Ons, and I was so impressed with the throatyness if that’s even a word, but to Harley Rider as it is. After about 200 miles the shark rod slip bonds started popping and I can’t stand it so if you can’t answer me back, is this something I should look into or should I just drop the money on a set a Vance and Hines with Vance and Hines. I know what I’m gonna get and really don’t have to worry about losing the throat/deep ness that I’m looking for. Please somebody answered because I can’t stand the shark roads any longer. What should I buy?
These have a great sound and the finish has a lifetime warranty. The sound is that deep sound that makes it sound like a Harley without leaving yours ears ringing. I don't know anything about Shark Road but where you able to get ahold of anyone to talk to them about your issue?

The fit was pretty tight. I ordered their clamps and they are a lot more solid.

Sound Great! Quick question though....have you had your compensator checked lately to make sure its ok and not loose or worn? At 5:30-5:45 in the video i can really hear it knocking. then again at 6:45 - 6:55. Maybe its not the compenasator but sure sounds that way! Anyway...nice scoot!

Nice Great Sound. Just ordered mine for my Trike. Heard them live at the dealership. This video just confirmed I made the right choice. I have Vance and Hines... Not impressed. Make my bike sound like a Honda. So can't wait for the new pipes.

How did your mpg vary with those ? I put on 4.5’s w/o baffles on my ‘21 ultra limited and went down to 37 mpg from 45 mpg. No other changes for me right now other than the slip ons. Once the warranty is up , maybe a stage 1 and a cam.
I will be honest I don't really pay attention to my MPG. That said I don't remember need gas more then before, but thats clearly not scientific :-)
They do sound quite good indeed, personally I don’t like really loud ‘Farty’ sounding harley’s, I would say most of the short pipe options sound terrible to my ear, just loud & unsociable, with no resonance. I have a sportglide with the baffles taken out, sounds ok, but I think the 2-1 CW system might be a better option.
Yes, most only sound good at light but once you get on it they are not the same.
Do you have stage 1 and slip-ons or slip on only? Sounds good trying to find a bike 2022 with different slip- ons. Bought a road king pick it up in 2 weeks. They put the wrong Handlebars on it and cut the cables to short. I keep my bike till they get it right. Take care enjoyed the video.
On the ultra I only had slip on pipes. On my new bike I have a full system in my Road Glide. They sound amazing.
Which baffles were in these? I've seen a ton of videos on the KW pipes, and I've loved the sound. I heard them in-person last weekend and was greatly disappointed. They were quiet. I don't know what baffles he had though.
They are the standard ones that are built in. You can add ones “on top” of that to change the sound
@BryTheBiker I just watched a video on KW (RevZilla?) that explained the baffle inserts. All the other videos I've watched just called the inserts baffles lol. So I just thought that they were interchangeable baffles. Now I have a better understanding lol. In a simpler explanation, the inserts are basically an inner sleeve that sits inside the baffles
What baffles do you have installed? Ripper, performance or louvered? Or no baffles

Are you running a baffle? I have a set of these for my 2022 in my garage I bought off a forum member But they did not have end caps. I ordered a set a month and a half ago still have not come in

Thanks for this video! I have been looking for something to match the stock exhaust of my 2020 CVO Limited and I heard that Khrome Werks had something that matched up perfectly (Smoked Chrome). So I've been wanting to hear what these sounded like. I currently have the Bassani DNT's on the bike and while I love them, they're too long to fit under the stock heat shields. So they stick out about an inch to an inch and a half and my OCD can't handle that. So I'm in the market for the Khrome Werks. I absolutely love the sound. Is that the stock baffle in the mufflers?
Yes, that is the stock baffles. I love the low tone they have.

Sound is so subjective so I say if it sounds good to you then they are the ones to buy :-)

Yes but I plan or replacing the headers this year. I will be doing a follow up video of how it sounds after stage one and then how it sounds with the headers

The full system I have on my M8 are a lot louder and had great low end thump
I like the pipes but I have to disagree I have tab with zombie baffles on my 2020 road glide and I have chrome w on my 2021 street glide and my tab the more I get on the better the grunt the chrome w my radio drowns them out but they do sound good but not loud enough that’s just my opinion

Sound was louder when you were talking then when you were on the bike the sound is way too low still can't tell..also do not like the end caps they should match the muffler not gloss if the muffler is flat or satin.Dont care for the silver in the end caps. that definitely might be a deal breaker for me... I shouldn't have to spray paint them with heat resistant paint to cover the silver...or spray the tip to match the muffler just saying

If you could learn how to ride switch gears bro then you could let us know how they sound but till then you should take this video down riding the clutch 1st and 2nd embarrassed me. Either that or your clutch is going out but pretty sure you need some more time.
