    Would sludge klear work in a wildlife pond without a pump/filter? Cheers.

      Hi, thanks for watching!
      Sludge Klear will work in natural wildlife ponds, it may just take longer to see the expected results. This is mainly because you're relying solely on the bacteria to digest the sludge.

    If the pond sludge layer is too deep will it kill frogs.
    Is SludgeKlear more effective in Summer or Spring or Winter temperatures ?

    • @enviipond
      @enviipond  Před 7 měsíci

      It won't directly kill any wildlife but what could happen, is the sludge can become aerobic and begin to emit gasses into the water which becomes deadly for all wildlife and fish. This often smells like rotten eggs and is quite noticeable. Sludge releases nutrients into the water which is a good food source for blanket weed and algae which is another reason to limit it in your pond.
      Targeting sludge all year round is beneficial, whether that be in summer or winter. We recommend using Sludge Klear from the end of February/March till December & Winter Pond Treatment over the colder months. This will allow you to keep breaking down the sludge naturally and in the safest way possible.

    Alternatively get a pond vac and manually clean it out .

    How often do you repeat this treatment?

      Hi Cynthia, thank you for watching. We recommend applying Sludge Klear every 7 days until you notice sludge levels reducing. The sludge will be picked up by the filter so if you have a lot of it, it might take a while and a few filter cleans.
