I used to live in Massachusetts as a child. There used to be a shadow of a man that used to hover over my bed and put his finger in my butt. It was so scary at times that I had a hard time falling asleep. I was so relieved to learn years later that it was Uncle Robby, not a ghost.
I think joe has a point with the expectations of feeling like something is happening. If you have knowledge prior to moving in somewhere or visiting somewhere that’s “haunted” almost anything you hear or see, is going to be spooky to you.
I don't believe that to be true because I was haunted at a hotel at night without even expecting it at all. I didn't stay there seeking it and it happened out of nowhere
@@nusretabi7222 i stayed at the Clarion Hotel in Greeley Colorado. I think it has a different name now. I was in a two-beds with my parents. I was around 24 years old..i'm 30 now. I woke up at around 2:50am to the train passing by near by. I instantly felt something was in the room. A very dark energy. It felt like violence and felt feminine and dirty, like if something terrible and grotesque happened. Then i felt a cold wave go over me from my feet to my chest, like if something was pressing on top of me. I had never felt anything like it. I don't get scared easily but i had to wake up my parents and tell them. They didn't really believe me. We all went back to sleep. Maybe like an hour later i got woken up by my dad. He said that "thing" tried to get me in spanish lol...he said he started having a nightmare that a woman in a veil was trying to wrap him in a veil too and that it felt so real and not like a normal dream. Then in the morning, my mom told us that she later dreamed that the beds we were laying on were infested with snakes all around us. My dad is a typical mexican dad that wouldn't loose money for nothing, but he didn't care about loosing the second night we had already paid, he refused to stay there another night and we all agreed. It was crazy. We told the front desk girl about it and she said several guests and housekeepers have reported stuff. I remember feeling like something was looking right at me and not wanting me there. That night i told my parents I was going to go sleep in the lobby because i couldn't bare that feeling. They talked me out of it but then they started experiencing things too. It was wild.
You can't go live on a ghost hunt, dummy. You need time to edit in the creepy noises and video effects, duh. Unless of course you hide some buddies in the haunted house to provide practical sound effects real time, turn some lights on n off, etc. But that usually comes out even cheesier than 'well done' studio editing, and even that is pretty iffy.
Come on Joe that would make the internet go bang..‼️🤯..can you imagine his face if he heard something like Get Out !! 🤣🤣🤣. Personally it’s the best house for just that..😕
I was on a historical tour of a civil war field hospital in Franklin Tennessee. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour. it was the last of the evening and the sun was just setting. While in the living room of this house something ran across the room (footsteps clear as day) and a lamp flew off a table. The tour guide stopped talking and we all sat in silence just looking at each other wondering if that truly just happened. We were all pretty freaked out and the tour guide also seemed rather spooked, however they did mention they’ve had several experiences and that the place is very haunted (over 1000 unmarked graves in the yard of this house). For the remainder of the tour I was so anxious and felt as though a negative presence was following me. Was very glad to get out of the house. That was a life changing experience. No explanation for what occurred. Made me a firm believer in the paranormal.
A few years ago my grandpas sister died, due to his condition (he had a stroke almost a decade earlier and was getting a lot worse that year) we decided not to tell him since we thought the news would kill him. Him and his sister were very close, she was basically his mom since he was one of the youngest of 12 siblings, months went by, he still didn’t know, until one morning me and my grandma found him crying, he said he just saw his sister and she told him she died. They had a whole conversation. It really changed my view on paranormal stuff forever. There was no way my grandpa could’ve known, if he knew the night or week or months before his brain did not have the capacity to pretend he didn’t know or lie, we would’ve known instantly. And he couldn’t have made up seeing her because he actually learned something he didn’t know before, there was real proof to what he said. He died I think a year or two later (in 2020). I hope him and his family are together.
Loved this conversation!! I have done my own investigation of EVP’s and my house went from little to no activity to quite a bit of activity. So was it spirits or did we create are own activity. We had everything from whispers, touching to objects being manipulated.
You attract things when they know you can hear/see them. Be careful what u are looking for, you find something dark u shut that door asap and quit for awhile. Good luck.
You basically invited whatever wanted in, into your home. I've seen spirits and other things since I was little, and I never interact with them.. you give them permission, energy, etc. It would be like putting a sign on your lawn saying you have thousands of dollars of cash in your house and anyone who wants some can come and get it. You don't get to choose who comes in, or what their intentions are at that point.. 🤷
There’s definitely something, I’ve had a lot of unexplained experiences since childhood. When I was about six I woke up in the night to see my grandma’s dad. My mom and I were spending the night at my grandparents and in the guest room with two twin beds. I tried to wake up my mom to tell her what I was seeing, looking right at him and he’s looking at me while I’m shaking her. A few years later my grandma passed away, and in her house I could hear footsteps creaking the floor from her and grandpas bedroom down the hall into the kitchen. I never heard a door open, but I could hear dishes move sound and cupboard doors close. In adulthood, I got a job at a university, cleaning the locker rooms in the basement of a rec center. During that time, I’ve mistaken a shadow figure for my supervisor. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone approaching me, popped my headphones out and was tiring and saying “yeah?” but no one was there. I heard benches being moved around on the concrete floor. One of my responsibilities was to make sure they’re straightened out and on occasion I’d hear them moving over my headphones and they’d be the way I left them. In the back stairwell I’d hear on occasion a female voice singing. At the Queen Mary, I did the ghost tour. There were a bunch of kids on it, and they were being loud and being kids haha, talking all the orbs they got on camera. When we were in the pool area, it was so active with people that I told my mom I’d hang back after the tour left and just take pics. So everyone left, I took some pics (didn’t capture anything but didn’t know that at the time), and before I walked out of the pool area I said thanks to whoever was there for letting me be there. And leaving the pool area you go through this kind of zig zag hallway before passing through a curtain to a longer hall, and after I’d gotten passed the curtain, something flicked up the bill of my backwards hat. In my last job, my supervisor did catch an orb on the security camera. They’re motion activated, and he was wondering what would activate the camera at one in the morning.
It's an old but yes, very cool concept. I've heard 2 movie stars(forgot whom tho) who spoke about the "floating jacket" ghost, something I've seen my self, at 9 years old, along with 3 cousins. To this day that shit is difficult to explain, how you can see a dense physical, regular jacket, yet, you're looking through it as if it's not there, and it's moving as if someone's wearing it and walking in it casually, yet, no one's there.
@@TimmyTurner421 Pebbles falling out of nowhere is the last thing I've seen that's strange in the last few years. Happened on 4 occasions on a cemetery, there' was 4-8 witnesses besides me. We were more or less alone, mid day, the cemetery is old, medium sized and flat, so no there were no pranksters, no kids or anything like that.
Matt is such a cool dude. I met him on the Overnight TV paranormal tour about two years back. He’s as funny and nice as you would imagine. He’s been investigating paranormal locations for awhile now with Elton and Corey and the rest of the Overnight gang.
@@pokemaster211 if u think this is a waste of time then watch a different podcast maybe tucker carlsen or something nobody forced you to click the video if you think so
I think you can feel these experiences in the daytime too, I think we just feel less uneasy about them in daytime because we see ‘a way out’ in the light. I’ve had experiences with deceased loved ones both in the day and night, and worked with many people who also experienced phenomena in the day
I live in Rhode Island. My dad lives 10 minutes away from this house. There’s really nothing special about it, and the people who live there time and time again tell people there’s nothing strange going on, and to leave them alone. It’s literally Hollywood hoopla 😂
That's how all these places are. My mom lives in a town with one of the most haunted houses in America. It was on 3 different ghost hunter shows. We used to break in and spend the night but nothing ever happened. Old mansions make noises because they settle and windows are broken so wind gets in. No doors slammed, no cabinets moving. 5 different nights and we went on anniversaries of the deaths but nothing ever happened.
Btw, I’m a psychiatric RN and work in a hospital in NJ. There have been MANY instances in my particular unit and many staff who have experienced this. From seeing man who vanishes, staplers flying off the cabinet, my energy drink sliding about 12” on the counter, hearing a woman humming a church him on an empty unit. The list goes on and on.
The most "haunted" places are the psychiatric hospitals. There is a theory called the "Stone and Wood" theory; it says that emotions, traumatic events, emotional events actually get "stored" in stone and Wood. So, you can go to a place and a traumatic event may replay over and over. Then people go and investigate it and they will experience the energy of those events and then it's labeled "haunted". Psychiatric hospitals hold alot of emotional, traumatic energy. It's actually sad in my opinion. All those lost souls and emotions.
Joe's theory on what he thinks a ghost might be definitely made me think about some things in a different sense. That's definitely a different perspective as to what supernatural experiences might be!
Yeah it’s still nonsense, the whole “bad things happened” is all subjective, there isn’t some inherent bad thing that would create a memory, memories are just our Brains.
Can we get more of these videos/ clips throughout the Halloween month? Aliens, Ghosts, skin walkers, big foot etc. Lol that would be dope 👌😂 UPDATE: Did y'all see the news about Mexican Congress revealing ET bodies today? (SEPT 12th)
I live in Germany and grew up in a house that used to belong to a Jewish family. Only two of their children were able to escape to the US. The rest of the family along with about 20% of the entire village was gased later during the war. We moved out because this place is haunted and maybe cursed. In the 90s two friends visited me and laughed at me when I told them about the ghosts. Suddenly you could hear 4-foot steps in the attic above, and a second later the water turned on in the bathroom by itself. They looked at me with big eyes, totally speechless.
I never believed in ghosts until I bought an old farm house nearly 6 years ago now. I’ve had crazy shit happen daytime and night, there is more to life than what we understand.
3:09 I have always thought this. The only paranormal experiences I’ve ever had were at my grandparents house and I have had many, many experiences there. We live in Alaska and they spend most of the year down south so I used to live in their house during the winter months and take care of their dogs. I asked them about their house and if anyone ever died there and they said it was a freshly built house when they bought it and no one has ever died there. However, my grandma has A LOT of antiques. Like…a lot. She also has a lot of her (deceased) father’s belongings including a hat that he wore every day. I could attempt to rationalize a few of the things that happened to me in that house but I have no explanation for most. One experience in particular was so terrifying and mysterious that I still have dreams about it sometimes 10 years later
@@lachlanbell8390 Sure! There’s some set up involved. So my grandparents had 2 bichons, yappy little ankle biters that bark at everything. My grandparents treated them like human children so they were very naughty and would get in the trash at every opportunity. It’s also very cold during the Alaskan winter so rather than use the dog door and go outside they would go downstairs and poop. So all the garbage cans were either in a cabinet or put up high so they couldn’t get into them and there was one of those little wooden gates for toddlers in the hallway that went downstairs to keep them from going down there. The trash can downstairs, even though the gate was there, was also put up high on top of this big metal filing cabinet about 4 feet tall. So late one night in the middle of winter, maybe like 2am or so, I’m laying in bed with both of the dogs and I’m about to fall asleep when suddenly WHAM! A VERY loud metallic bang from downstairs reverberates through the house. Super super loud. It sounded like someone hit a big piece of sheet metal with an aluminum baseball bat. Now normally the dogs would have gone absolutely insane barking and would have jumped off the bed and ran off to investigate. That didn’t happen. They both bolted up and ran to the edge of the bed but they didn’t jump down and they didn’t bark at all. They just stood there at the edge of the bed and one or both of them growled low and quiet. Then they kinda whimpered and laid down right at the edge of the bed. I was paralyzed with fear. Just completely frozen. I couldn’t move and I didn’t make a sound. I didn’t sleep at all, I just laid there until the sun came up listening. I didn’t hear anything else. So the sun comes up and I get out of bed. I grabbed my grandpa’s pistol out of the nightstand and went downstairs. Stepped over the little gate and I look into the living room and the trash can that was on top of the filing cabinet is on the floor in the middle of the room and all of the contents (mostly paper and stuff, office and computer are downstairs) are spread around in a giant circle around the trash can. It’s a big space, the trash can was probably 6-7 feet away from where it was and all the paper and stuff is like spread around in a big circle covering most of the floor. So now not only am I terrified but I am very confused. Both of the dogs were in bed with me, the gate is still in place, the trash can was on top of the filing cabinet, and there was no food in the trash can anyway. What made that loud bang? Why was the trash can so far away from where it was? Why was all that paper spread out in a giant circle? Why didn’t I hear anything after the bang? Why didn’t the dogs go ballistic? Like…it just doesn’t make sense. Then you factor in all the other weird stuff that happened in that house. I would hear an older man humming or singing sometimes (my great grandpa I guess? 🤷♂️). Things would move around. Really weird, random hiccups with electronic devices. Lights turning on or off randomly. One time I was downstairs and I heard glass break upstairs. I went up and my senior pictures that were framed on the wall were face down on the floor about 5 feet away from the wall they were hanging on. Didn’t feel an earthquake and nothing else fell down…just really really weird stuff. Pretty sure there’s one or more “spirits” or “memories” or whatever attached to my grandma’s antiques or my great grandpa’s hat.
Joe is 100% right. They should inform you if someone dies in a place you’re potentially buying. It’s the reason a lot of people that experience it have to start back from the ground up. They put pretty much all their money on the new home
I was a real estate agent and in my state they have to explicitly ask for the information to be required to be disclosed. I can say in my years of visiting different properties, they aren't just "different buildings" you can feel certain vibes from different properties. Yes older properties tend to feel creepier but it's not just old houses.. i would sometimes show a newer home that would be much tougher to sell just because of the feelings. The prospective buyers wouldn't really say why they didn't like the property but they just wouldn't end up signing despite a competitive price.
My parents are both realtors here in BC, Canada. It legally has to be disclosed to the buyers whether they ask for it or not. Since everyone wants in on the cutthroat market here it’s not even a buying factor for people anymore.
I had an encounter with something when I was a teenager at my family cottage which is up around Northeastern New Brunswick Canada and there is many Maritime battles fought in those oceans and all kinds of crazy bad stuff happened. Both my cousin and uncle said they saw ghost ships up there and that's not the first time that I've heard that story from people in my family and in other people's families. The crazy part is the day after that experience I almost drown in the ocean after I smash my head on a rock while I was hanging out in a bay on some big rocks. I don't exactly know what it was because I wasn't brave enough to go see when all the weird shit started.
Went to the house a few weeks ago but only for a day tour. It's nuts. I absolutely loved every second of it. 10/10 recommend if anything for the history
When Joe talks about manifesting Ghosts, it reminds me of physics / quantum mechanics and how studies show that the observer effect is real and things literally physically change behavior when they're being observed. Perhaps that's what 'Ghosts' are.
I lived in a brownstone where there was a spot in the kitchen near the back door that you could look straight through a separate bedroom which had two doors that lead to the front door. You could not stand in this spot longer than a few seconds before you felt some force compelling you to move. We had so many people tell us that being in that area of the kitchen freaked them out to where they wouldn’t go in there at all anymore. We never told anyone previous about this spot but was informed only after that they felt this way. It was a year after we moved out that I found out a person had shot someone at the front door standing in that spot in the kitchen. They had shot their own spouse. Other things had happened but that was the one that really got to me.
I don't know if it's possible I'm just misreading and misunderstanding, but I'm somewhat surprised that the spot where the SHOOTER was, was where that feeling emanated from. Rather than where the victim was standing. Unless there were two fatalities and the shooter turned the gun on himself immediately after. Which, I didn't notice anything to definitively indicate that the gunshot the wife received was fatal, other than context. Which led to a slightly amusing image/idea of a place or spot being haunted by less than deadly events. Like going to my childhood home and "experiencing" me getting my head shaved by my friend while I was asleep or something else weird.
@@shawnsmith3959 I am guessing because it was because of remorse…that either they felt they shouldn’t have been in that spot or why did this have to happen? The story was relayed to me by the person who lived there directly after the shooting had occurred and the man was arrested and later to have died in jail. The incident occurred in the 1930’s. My roommate at the time lived in that second bedroom. It had two doors…one that opened to the kitchen and one that opened to the front door foyer. So it was kind of what they call a shotgun house where you could look through from the back door to the front door. My roommate would routinely take rope and tie both doors closed because he felt like something was trying to get in. We were watching tv one day and there was a small jar of Carmax sitting on top of the tv and it just shot off the tv and rolled onto the floor then under the sofa. We both without saying a word got up and left the house for like 15 hours and never said anything about it afterwards. I loved that house but he left three months later then moved back in with me at a different place and the first question he asked was if it followed me to the new place.
I’ve never had a paranormal experience in my life. But my mom bought an antique piano and had it placed in our living room and my sister would have friends spend the night quite often. 2 of her friends on separate occasions claimed they saw the apparition of a lady in a white gown & bonnet sitting at the piano.
Joe's concept of the mind conjuring up a visible, palpable memory reminds me of the scenes in Prometheus where the alien technology is capable of presenting a holographic recorded event on the abandoned ship.
When my wife and I were “house hunting” before kids, we had only a few houses on our list to check out. They were all fine, but one house we walked into the kitchen and immediately felt like something wasn’t right. So much so that we didn’t even want to check out the whole place. We walked through a couple of rooms on the main level and needed to leave. We didn’t know what it was but there was a darkness to it and we just both needed to get out. Mind you, we aren’t into ghost shows or anything like that. That night we talked about just what exactly it was about that house and we both said it felt like it was haunted, like someone else was in there with us. So I did some digging online and found a story from several years prior where two kids were playing outside, one riding a bike and one playing with a bow and arrow. The kid with the bow was screwing around tried to shoot his friends bike tire. He shot an arrow and missed, hitting his friend in the head and killing him. It happened right outside that house. I don’t know what the presence was that we felt there but we knew we weren’t welcome.
Regardless of the story of the kids lol ghost or jinns in my religion islam, have been around forever and will be. Theyr everywhere.they can shape shift and do whatever they want even take the form or your deceased family etc. No soul is trapped and the bad energy is basically a demon it's really quite simple.
thats scary, my house isnt scary haunted. For you to feel darkness, it must have been an evil presense. I say that because I grew up in a house where 1 room was haunted by a lady, but the room felt fine, my sister would see her.

a study was done with a group of people. They were taken to two houses and told they were both haunted and to reveal anything they felt/heard etc. They came back saying things about both. BUT, only one was haunted. The land and the house that was not haunted was checked over for incidents very carefully to make sure that it wasn't.
I dont need a movie to check behind my shower curtain , that shit is creepy i leave my shit open at all times now just so no one can jump out and scare me , i dont wanna go to prison
Joe’s thought about the potential science behind haunting…is kind of describing my favourite scene in the movie Interstellar : where after Matthew McConaughey falls back through time, and he is essentially haunting his daughter in the past from the future
Exactly what I was thinking! The "souls" or energy of the people who suffered those traumatic events might get stuck there, or revisit it, affecting our dimension.
I rented a small house with a couple friends where some weird things happened. Firstly, the wood grain in the kitchen cupboards had unmistakable demonic faces in them. 2 were very clear, and a third took a bit of imagination. I actually wanted to steal these cupboard doors when I left because they looked awesome! Anyway, here comes the fun stuff. We had an electric frying pan that one of the roomies used all the time. He would simply unplug it when done. He walked through the kitchen and saw the light on the pan. He went to unplug it, but it was already unplugged. He turned the dial to "off", and the light went off. He freaked out. My experience however was quite different. I was standing not 4 feet from the fridge, leaning on a door frame talking to a friend on the phone. I was alone in the house besides my cat. I was staring at the half empty 66 of whiskey on the top of the fridge when suddenly, the fridge acted like someone shoulder checked it. It rocked back and forth a couple times as that 66 was teetering on top as well. I was dead sober and it was the middle of the day.
I think Joe is referring to the stone tape theory, where intense emotions are “recorded” onto objects similar to a tape recorder and are “replayed” under certain conditions.
@@livinglife1089 I dunno what his "main audience" is, I have only seen his stuff from the specials he has posted here on youtube, but they are quite good, so I don't really care either if I am not someone who fits into said 'main audience' as I am not a woman nor do I use tiktok. Ships are mazes, one bloke I knew in the navy was working on a large new platform. He was working in a compartment and was informed they were done for the day, he wanted to finish his current task so he stayed behind less than 5-10 minutes Then he tried to find his way off the ship (there were very few people on board) he wandered for 2 hours, found his way to the flight deck and was given directions to the gangway, it took him a further 30 minutes to find that regardless It’s a really confusing environment, I’m glad I only served on small boats
After my father passed away in 2016, I was in his room and sat on his bed when it started to vibrate. I then saw a transparent figure appear at the edge of the bed for about 20-30 seconds and it was gone. I've never seen it again. I was always a skeptic before that, but I firmly believe that was him saying goodbye to me.
After my grandpa passed away we were at his house after the funeral having a celebration of life and he had a juke box that no one was ever allowed to touch he would get pissed if he caught ya fiddling with it ... And in the middle of the party from the other room the juke box turned on ... We all go into the room ...it's lit up playing some of his music ...my aunt got freaked out and went to unplug it from the wall .. and it wasn't even plugged in ... It played for about 1 minute completely unplugged.. My entire family witnessed this... But nothing ever happened like that again ... We believe it was him saying good bye as well !

I really appreciate Joe open enough to talk about things that he doesn't believe in, and engages in things that he does know or heard about that's related
Definitely in your mind. As children, we knew nothing about ghosts, and we played in cemeteries all the time, hide and seek behind gravestones tag, running over the grave, etc. Never once did we see anything unusual. We would play in the middle of the night. Never heard any noises or anything, never cared and never scared. As we grew older and we start to learn about ghosts and spirits and demons etc. You began to manifest experiences in places like cemeteries. Where once you innocently played.
I banged a lot of chicks in a cemetery near where I grew up filled with about 100 or more dead relatives. Never once heard my grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, great great great grandfather, great great great great grandfather, great great great great great grandfather, say "that a boy" or anything. It's all bullshit ghosts are real.
You're right, but I suppose if you believe in ghosts then graveyards might be the last place you'd find ghosts, cos they aren't places where people live or die. Hospices, care homes, nursing homes and hospitals on the other hand, should be full of them.
Same here. Town cemetery & old Dutch & slave graveyards in my neighborhood growing up in NJ. Never spooky. What’s funny is we moved to PA & our house is on the town ghost tour 👻🎃
About ghosts only being trapped inside… I don’t know about that. My husband and I were driving on a road in NW Georgia. The day was clear, no wind, beautiful Spring day. All of a sudden a plastic chair goes flying straight across the wide road and onto the side walk with out it falling over. My husband a total skeptic of all these things, stopped the car in disbelief with the look of “WTF was that?!” We looked at each other and looked over at the chair and never talked about it again 👀. I do remember a beautiful old house on the side of where the direction of the chair came from, but the front porch of this house was pretty far from the street and their lawn was basically a grassy field. I cannot remember the street or where the house was, I just remember the what the house looks like. Anytime I’m kind of in that area I always try and look around to see if I find that house! 😅
I do feel like places and inanimate objects have memories because a bunch of people and I went to Gettysburg and we was walking through one of the battlefields, one thing that started the vibes was everyone got a creepy feeling and didn't want to proceed but I just kept walking and all of the sudden it felt like I got shot in the face, my head snapped back and I dropped to the ground.... Everyone took off running so I tried to get up and run but I couldn't move until someone came over and grabbed me, then I felt fine and I got up and stumbled off the battlefield. I wasn't even looking for a paranormal experience but one sure as hell hit me right in the face... Later when we was talking about it a few people said they seen something moving in the distance then they seen a little flash of light right before I got hit so they thought I was actually shot but when they looked back they seen nothing but fog like whatever was out there just poofed out of existence. Can't say I wouldn't go back but I definitely wouldn't go back at night.... I think that was our mistake. 😂
@@samanthab1923 - There's a lot of battlefields that are most likely haunted but just like they said in the video, you don't really see ghosts outside a lot but in a place like that you do..... Now imagine how many humans have been killed over the existence of humans, that could be a good reason we get creeped out by a place when just randomly walking around in the world. I don't think cavemen knew what haunting was so instead of being scary they just kind of follow you around and make you feel weird... LoL
@@trublu3483 - That's what the people w/ me said they seen, either a musket flash or a cannon flash then I got nailed by the ghost round and dropped like I was Really shot.... Its was creepy as hell and definitely scared me but I think everyone else was scared shitless, but I'd maybe go back again but I'd have to have a camera so I can catch if anything happens to me again. My luck I'll walk through the field and have a whole platoon following me, but I won't see them because they'll be staying out of my peripheral vision. LoL 😂😅
I’ve seen some strange things over the years that can’t be explained, but one sticks out most, as a teenager I saw a man standing in the doorway of my room and I thought it was my dad and when I called out to him he turned around and looked at me and walked into the wall. I was so frightened I climbed out of my bedroom window and rode my bike to where my dad worked in just shorts and a t shirt in 30 degree temps, my dad thought I lost my mind but he knew I had definitely seen something to scare me that bad.
I had one of the most realistic experiences when it comes to the paranormal. I was staying at one of my parents friends beach house in the DR, it was an old place but it was beautiful. Went to bed one night, and was hearing weird sounds but I ignored it. Then I decided to fall asleep and as I close my eyes, 2 minutes later my bed sheets got pulled to my knees. I stayed in a cabin in mammoth area, I got woken up several times to two little girls playing on the bed! Scared the living hell out of me. At one point one of them when I woke up was right in my face looking at me sleep! So scary I get chills whenever I talk about it.

One of my buddies houses was haunted when I was a kid. The downstairs bedroom was always padlocked from the outside everytime I went over, and the whole place just gave me a weird feeling even as a child. Later on my older sister (40 yrs old and very trustworthy) stayed in that room for my graduation and got in a tug of war w a ghost. Friends dad confirmed he thought it was haunted but his wife never believed him. That shit is real 100%
Mankind's fascination with death and the afterlife is always going to make great thought provoking content ♥ it's something deeply personal to the person experiencing something they cannot explain. I've had multiple experiences and each invoked a different sense: sight, sound, smell and touch. I might be wrong but you don't hear many people talking about an encounter involving just the sense of smell, it's truly bizarre and my friend whom I asked to stand in the spot lost her shit and couldn't handle it.
Surprisingly I quite like how Joe thinks and a lot of the things he’s gone over. It’s crazy how he isn’t super well versed with the paranormal yet just described a type of ghost what with the “is it a time and space” entity question.
I remember doing homework at my grandmother's house back in like 5th or 6th grade and my buddy was there with me. Us 3 were sitting in the living room and my grandpa's bedroom is attached to the living room and we all just saw his bedroom door slowly open and close itself. We were the only 3 people in the house
Whew thanks to Mr. Rogan I am no longer scared of ghost. He really had some good points about the reality of ghost and if they are in fact the real deal. I will be sleeping better around the witching hour from here on out. Thank you Joe!
Ghosts are most definatley spacial memories. Memories that are usually very binding are heavy with negative emotion, and can act as an anchor if the memory was tacit to their final moments. It anchors part of their being in limbo. And can be manifested as poltergiests. Which are generally destructive /negative in their properties as well
I've had a shared experience with three other people. All of us were sober. We had a shared mass "hallucination" that repeated over the course of 30 minutes, then we had a slightly different experience for the fourth encounter. I went to investigate so started to cross the street. As soon as I stepped into the road, my 3 friends couldn't see me, and I felt like I had stepped into a dream, that's when a dark fluid like shadowy form came flowing towards me with palpable animosity.

I lived in a house that had a ghost in it, and ive had multiple witnesses to the things that would happen, locked doors would open, all my electronics would turn off and on and always at full blast, things would get knocked over and smacked off things and land half way across the room, stacks of dvds in shelf’s would be dumped off the floor, light switches would turn off and on and you could physically see them going up and down, dishes laid out on the counters, boots would move, and atleast once or twice a day you could feel something ice cold pass you and there’s much more cause I invited it along to every house I moved to after that
I highly recommend you not invite the ghost/demon, and get rid of it. I know a guy who went ghost hunting and a boy followed him around his whole adult life, he did get rid of the boy and knew his name but he doesnt talk about it. Go to a medium and dont tell them its following you and see if they notice.
I lived in a house in East Missoula Montana...and our cats had numerous...events ...that were intense and gave me a feeling so intense that made me truly wonder what they were sensing or seeing. If you were there you'd understand.
Nah Joe, I've witnessed some things by ear and eye that screamed paranormal activity. I had no idea the building was haunted until I shared my experience with my manager. Turns out the 3rd floor and basement have a lot of activity that's been going on for years.
Why is it always some old timey ghost in 1700s dress, with bonnets and such? It's never a Roman soldier or even a modern ghost who died recently. No one ever hears a disembodied voice at 3am asking for the wifi password.
I grew up on the road of the conjuring, spent the night at the conjuring myself. What an experience, I never believed in haunted stuff until I spent the night there. As a kid we would always be in the woods in the back and it was always a weird vibe, very old cemetery in the back woods. I went in the house expecting something all night, one closet door kept opening every time we closed it and walked away, it would be open .other than that nothing happened till at night when I slept upstairs and something smacked the headboard to the bed so loud nobody was around.. it gave me chills, the energy in the air at that house is intense tho
Many years ago I was coming from the Honolulu airport with a friend. We were driving across the Pali and pulled over to chat. It was nighttime. In front of us we saw a figure form out of what looked like a luminescent cloud or heavy fog coming down from the sky. It moved towards us as it formed accompanied by a menacing presence. We, naturally, took off. When we got to our location we told the others, some of whom were locals, who said simply, 'Oh yeah, that was Princess Kamehameha protecting the land." Point being - "she' was outside not in a building... I've seen one other ghost in my lifetime, but that's another story. She was inside a building - a psychiatric hospital.
A few months ago, I had to stay in a hotel for travelling purposes and everything was going along, I went to bed. I woke up out of nowhere because the 2 bathroom doors slammed opened at the same time. It was an en suite bathroom that connected to the main room. The first thought was that people went into my hotel room so I got up half awake but there was nobody else so right away I checked the time it happened, it was 1:43AM. A few days later I was talking to a friend about where I stayed and he asked me if it was the old part of the hotel. I said I don’t know but it was the 143 room, that’s when I realized the time and the room number matched, obviously I got creeped out
me and my bro were on holiday actually watching the first conjuring movie in a hotel partment on a streaming site and in the bathroom we had screw taps which could only be turned on full blast if you twisted it multiple times. Out of nowhere the tap starting blasting 😂 he made me go and check and I had to turn this tap at least 5-6 times to turn it off. we kind of laughed it off though but there isn't much explanation for it... it literally had been turned multiple times to have running water like that
The creepiest thing that happened to me was when I was at my Nana’s house with my husband. We were visiting my Nana and my Papa had died in the house a few years earlier. My husband and I were sitting on the couch and my Nana was in the kitchen. As we were on the couch, we heard water splash on the floor in the hallway. It sounded like someone had a cup of water in their hand and threw the water across the hallway floor. I got up to check it out since both me and my husband heard it and I didn’t see anything on the ground. My Nana was cooking away but it creeped us out so bad! The fact that we both heard it and didn’t see anything and no one else was in the house 🫣
I think ghosts aren't really ghosts but like Joe has said, it's feelings or things that have happened in the past that are imprinted on the present. I've been to places with a "feeler" friend of mine, not knowing the history about a place we visited, felt all this sorrow and other things. After some digging, our feelings were right on the money.
That's basically what The Grudge movie is all about. A female woman, who upon a brutal murder by her husband, is in that house and takes control over that location with her energy and her spirit, a grudgeful spirit, that is trapped in there with them and who kills anyone who steps foot in there. All because of what their husband did. That's where the Japanese folklore comes into the Japanese supernatural horror. That idea that the curse is real and can kill you. As seen in Ju-On The Grudge 1 and 2 (myfavorites in the series) and even Ringu does a great job of showing that even on a small budget.
One time I was opening the fridge, and behind me 2 cups broke exactly the same time. They were upside down drying in a sink. I never understood how but maybe gravity or something.
I listened to this part and when Joe started talking about energy all I can hear in my head was a call back to Opie and Anthony and Patrice O’Neal saying “Joe believes in magical… Joes magical!!” RIP Patrice!!❤
I used to live in Massachusetts as a child. There used to be a shadow of a man that used to hover over my bed and put his finger in my butt. It was so scary at times that I had a hard time falling asleep. I was so relieved to learn years later that it was Uncle Robby, not a ghost.

It felt like violence and felt feminine and dirty, like if something terrible and grotesque happened. Then i felt a cold wave go over me from my feet to my chest, like if something was pressing on top of me. I had never felt anything like it.

This universe is so mysterious. It is clear there are spiritual forces we can’t see. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck.
Never acknowledge them unless you want to turn up the activity
You basically invited whatever wanted in, into your home. I've seen spirits and other things since I was little, and I never interact with them.. you give them permission, energy, etc. It would be like putting a sign on your lawn saying you have thousands of dollars of cash in your house and anyone who wants some can come and get it. You don't get to choose who comes in, or what their intentions are at that point.. 🤷
You gave them permission to be there
There’s definitely something, I’ve had a lot of unexplained experiences since childhood.

Would you mind sharing what that particularly bad/memorable one was?
Real estate agents have to disclose that
I had an encounter with something when I was a teenager at my family cottage which is up around Northeastern New Brunswick Canada and there is many Maritime battles fought in those oceans and all kinds of crazy bad stuff happened.

When Joe talks about manifesting Ghosts, it reminds me of physics / quantum mechanics and how studies show that the observer effect is real and things literally physically change behavior when they're being observed.
Perhaps that's what 'Ghosts' are.
Spooky season is among us. Now I wanna binge watch the conjuring vids 🫠
Ppl in europe invented that s..t Only we stopped believing some 300 y ago. By having internet one would assume muricans iq would climb a bit..but nah
That’s wild, thanks for sharing
I don't know if it's possible I'm just misreading and misunderstanding, but I'm somewhat surprised that the spot where the SHOOTER was, was where that feeling emanated from. Rather than where the victim was standing.
Unless there were two fatalities and the shooter turned the gun on himself immediately after.
Which, I didn't notice anything to definitively indicate that the gunshot the wife received was fatal, other than context.
Which led to a slightly amusing image/idea of a place or spot being haunted by less than deadly events. Like going to my childhood home and "experiencing" me getting my head shaved by my friend while I was asleep or something else weird.
hi
Just stop
and thats why i dont buy antiques. you are asking for trouble. Sure it looks cool, but not cool when your house is now haunted.

Glad y’all felt it man some shit you just can’t make up or the feeling I know what you mean y’all did a good decision bro
💯% true

a study was done with a group of people. They were taken to two houses and told they were both haunted and to reveal anything they felt/heard etc. They came back saying things about both. BUT, only one was haunted. The land and the house that was not haunted was checked over for incidents very carefully to make sure that it wasn't.

Joe’s thought about the potential science behind haunting…is kind of describing my favourite scene in the movie Interstellar : where after Matthew McConaughey
falls back through time, and he is essentially haunting his daughter in the past from the future
Exactly what I was thinking! The "souls" or energy of the people who suffered those traumatic events might get stuck there, or revisit it, affecting our dimension.
What if they were practicing time travel 😂
“I wanted to steal these cupboards doors”. That’s how a good horror movie would start

Should of got photos of the cupboard doors

Ships are mazes, one bloke I knew in the navy was working on a large new platform. He was working in a compartment and was informed they were done for the day, he wanted to finish his current task so he stayed behind less than 5-10 minutes
Then he tried to find his way off the ship (there were very few people on board) he wandered for 2 hours, found his way to the flight deck and was given directions to the gangway, it took him a further 30 minutes to find that regardless

More of the opposite for me. As I grew older, It started to stop. Ive seen things I can't explain growing up but I'm still a little skeptical
Aka confirmation bias

I think Gettysburg is definitely the most haunted spot in the country 👻
@@samanthab1923 - There's a lot of battlefields that are most likely haunted but just like they said in the video, you don't really see ghosts outside a lot but in a place like that you do..... Now imagine how many humans have been killed over the existence of humans, that could be a good reason we get creeped out by a place when just randomly walking around in the world. I don't think cavemen knew what haunting was so instead of being scary they just kind of follow you around and make you feel weird... LoL
@@xpndblhero5170 Exactly, but I will tell you there are certain woods near quarries around me that give off that goose bump feeling 👻
At night by the river you can hear soldiers marching and sometimes cannon fire in the distant . Happens all the time in Gettysburg
@@trublu3483 - That's what the people w/ me said they seen, either a musket flash or a cannon flash then I got nailed by the ghost round and dropped like I was Really shot....

Mankind's fascination with death and the afterlife is always going to make great thought provoking content ♥ it's something deeply personal to the person experiencing something they cannot explain. I've had multiple experiences and each invoked a different sense: sight, sound, smell and touch.

The first thought was that people went into my hotel room so I got up half awake but there was nobody else so right away I checked the time it happened, it was 1:43AM. A few days later I was talking to a friend about where I stayed and he asked me if it was the old part of the hotel. The fact that we both heard it and didn’t see anything and no one else was in the house 🫣
Spot on take
I think ghosts aren't really ghosts but like Joe has said, it's feelings or things that have happened in the past that are imprinted on the present.
This is a good episode
