I feel like this simplified version of TNTL really let the cast show off their more traditional improv skills really nicely
I agree, I think these more traditional improv really show their skills but don't play as well on camera as the crazy prop ones with focus on just a few ppl at a time
I love the fact that they invited Richard, knew that he was going to bring pizza, and still suggested that he might be good to bring duck la'orange
They have such faith in that man, we're all rooting for him to overcome his crippling bring-pizza-to-every-event addiction.
Richard is actually a Michelin star chef, he's just tired of people expecting him to cook in his spare time for them for free, so he brings pizza out of spite

@nieooj gotoy I think it could have been improved had the cast only been allowed to portray their original characters in the provided scenarios. I think it would have made them feel more comfortable with that bit of familiarity in the mix.

I can’t get over how in every try not to laugh, tommy has NEVER failed.
I think there has been a couple times where he didn't get the person to laugh. However, I still think he is one of the most consistently funny when it comes to his bits and he has tons of iconic bits like Midsommar and Beethoven's parents

@@dumsquirrel They’re mostly all improv actors. This doesn’t look stressful at all to me, it just looks fun. Of course, that’s because I do improv. I think if they all do this for a living, they probably see it the same way.

I really enjoyed this!! The more spontaneous, mostly unedited, on the spot nature really let people dig deep into their improv skills, and I thought they killed it. A lot of the bits had a fresh kind of free-flowing humor to them and I loved seeing that with this crew.
