I’m 29 years young, born in 1994 and I was born a Jambo as was my dear departed father born a Jambo in 1960 who died suddenly in the Georgie Suit of all places at Tynecastle. Watching this documentary has given me such a deeper insight into the football club that I love so dearly and makes me feel an overwhelming sense of pride to be able to part of a generation of Jambos far from humble beginnings in the meadows pumping the hibees all those years ago… some things never change I guess 😉. I am taking my son to his first game on Saturday 4th November against Dundee at the age of 6 and he too will become a part of the legacy that is Heart Of Midlothian Football Club. My heart fills with pride knowing I can pass on the support of Hearts to the next generation as my Dad did to me and as my son will do for his children. And even when I’m long gone a part of me will live in forever more in HMFC. HHGH ❤️

The electronic pipe hearts intro theme in this documentary is really nice. Does anyone have a copy of it on here? Or can someone forward me to where i could find this version?

It's news to me that Hearts disbanded in 1876 and re-emerged in 1877 (commentary at 6.40 mins). They disbanded shortly after forming in 1873 and re-emerged in 1874 after joining forces with another Edinburgh club St Andrew, persuading them to change to Heart of Midlothian lest they be confused with the town of St Andrews in Fife. Also the Hearts Hibs Edinburgh cup game mentioned at the same time went to a fifth replay, not four as stated.

Hearts hold the Scotland’s record for indebtedness. During Mr Vlad’s tenure their debts, were 8-10 times their best annual revenue. Sadly charities and many small firms didn’t survive Hearts’ admin pittance of a payout.

So what about Hibs going bust when their directors thieved and swindled millions in the 1990s and left massive debts unpaid even to this day? Or does that not count. Hibs directors Duff and Gray. Thieves, swindlers, jailbirds.

@@albacan Actually the former Glasgow Rangers hold the record for indebtedness, avoidance of all debts, and decided to use liquidation to walk away completely from all of their debts, which was the most heinous act of cowardice in the history of Scottish football. Hearts used the proper legal procedure of lawful administration and it was Romanov who walked (or actually absconded) from all debts HE ran up in the name of Heart of Midlothian.
