Forbidden Door as is a concept that sets back the careers of EVERYONE booked on the card, it's weeks of garbage TV and the live ticket sales prove that it's a bad idea.
AEW has zero stars and Tony Khan expects us to care about non-stars wrestling a bunch of guys we've never heard of.
Forbidden Door needs to be like Hell in a Cell. Have it come up when the STORIES make it necessary.
Marks are supposed to be at home buying the merch, not actually booking the shows.

Forbidden Door feels like WWE's Elimination Chamber in that AEW keeps doing it just because it's on the schedule.
WWE at least have it set up so that it can create the number 1 contender for the other title that isn't headlining WrestleMania.
The issue is these guys are on their TV every week anyway so the concept isn't that important anymore

@ninthlife1745: I am not sure about that one myself. Shawn Spears is the exact example why I despise the tern "jobber." As is Karrion Kross. As is especially Miss Natalya Neidhart. Too many fans and for that matter Commentators throw the term about as though they and they alone know what exact credit to give a Wrestler or Team. Never mind that these individuals have worked very hard. They never "got over organically", i.e., with the direct approval of the crowd often against how The Company pushes someone. Then when it does happen the Company way they are "being shoved down our throats." As if that weren't enough people gripe about "long term storytelling." Then when their fickle flavor of the month finally succeeds the poor guy or lady gets zapped by the IWC because they're suddenly "boring!" And onto the next "rebellious" cause to champion. I'm on Long Island. I have every chance to go to this show. They have tickets for $24. Not bad seats either in the UBS arena, which is mostly cut off. Anyways, if one match had peaked my interest, I would have went. I even looked it up, thinking to go and asking this girl I've been talking to on a date. But, I really don't want to go. It's not worth it. I'd rather go smoke a few big fat Janices and watch WWE on Peacock.

Super weak card on paper. I don't think it will draw well for casuals. Orange Cassidy matches are a parody / piss take of pro wrestling, that match is definitely being skipped.
