Blue Fire Review, Europa Park Mack Launch Coaster | Mack's Most Important Coaster

- Blue Fire was an important coaster for both Europa Park and Mack. For Europa Park, it's arguably their most popular coaster with its well-themed and diverse ride experience. For Mack, it may be their most important coaster. This was their first launch coaster and largest coaster at the time, signaling to the industry they were willing and able to build large thrill coasters.

Thanks for the good review again as always! As a sidenote, the sponsoring has (fortunately) been suspended due to the the ongoing conflicts. I hope it stays that way and Europapark will introduce a non sponsored theming in the future.
Cool
I had filmed this a few weeks ago, but I heard. I imagine the ride will still have a similar theme minus the sponsorship.
This is my home-park !
I love “Blue Fire” and I will be happy if it looses the “Gazprom”brand I never liked .
This coaster marked the start of my coaster Enthusiast career. This ride has a special place in my heart and it will always be my Emotional #1🔥💙😍
Nice!

I am so excited to see that you like this ride so much. Most enthusiasts like to shit on it because it's "foRCeLeSs". Yes it's not the most intense coaster, but it's so much fun.
It always hurts me to see when thoosies only complain about what the coaster doesn't do instead of praisimg it for what it does. Naturally when I see someone actually praising this coaster, it
makes my day.
Oh and it isn't even "forceless" nor does it have "no airtime", thoosies who say that are just spoiled and used to stronger forces. They also set their expectations way too high, they think it's Maverick 2.0, NEWSFLASH: It's not.
If you expect an intense coaster at Europapark (a Family Themepark) I don't have good news for you.
It's thrilling at just the right balance while it keeps being fun and re-rideable.
So yeah if you read until here, thanks for reading my little Rant.
Great Review!
Thoosies just want every coaster to be on the same level as Steel Vengeance and Intimidator 305 or else it sucks.
I really like this ride. It gives a fun, well-rounded experience.
On Steel Taipan, the drop off the mid course gives a fair bit of ejector airtime, probably because we have hotter days over here mixed with the trims turned down, they have a quick millisecond of speed reduction, but not much at all, and for the corkscrews we get a fair bit of lateral G’s and floater instead (not sure of thats because of the warmer climate over here though)… that spinning seat though adds a whole new level
The spinning seat looks awesome. I've ridden Blue Fire in 70 degree weather or less.
People definitely sleep on this coaster, saying it's forceless? I really don't see it. I remember the positive forces before and after the first loop being very strong, and that final inversion... Damn.
I enjoy it.
I wouldn't say the loop has hangtime, neither with the corkscrews, but it's incredibly floaty, and I find the corkscrews whippy. Also the transition into the mid-course brings awesome laterals 🥰
The ride is well-rounded.
I was about to comment this as well after re-watching this review.
I agree with your review - for me, blue fire is the perfect coaster for getting into launches and inversions :)
Agreed.
Tbh you're my favorite coaster reviewer for your consistent, detailed, and super informative reviews.
Thanks!
Great looking coaster and fun, Thanks for the review.
You're welcome
I knew only a little about this ride before watching your review. It sounds like one I would enjoy, and I respect how this paved the way for the extreme Mack coasters that came later.
It's quite good.
Been in Europa Park last week and the second day was raining for the most of the day. Not like heavy rain but drizzle
...so all rides were water rides that day, and ride during rain was actually lot of fun. Like small peebles to your face
I appreciate how European parks keep rides open in bad weather.
I love this coaster so much. Its so sad to see it get so much hate lately.. good to see it get some love from you!!
I was surprised to see people being pretty critical of this ride.
Great video! The best review of this ride.I hope Haunted Mine Drop reopens soon so you can review it as I think it could be one of your favorite drop towers.
I imagine it would.
The start of an era.
Yup!
Yeppp!!! That final inversion is ELITE!!
Sure is.
Kind of surprised that you didn't mention the awesome laterals on the entry of the MCBR
They're decent.
I really like Europa Park. I always have one question when I visit: how in the heck did Disney not sue the pants off Mack for the general layout/look of the park? Several rides look suspiciously familiar and, I mean, the mascot is a MOUSE. 🤣
I'm not sure.
Europa park is around 47 years old I believe.
I am not certain but I believe it was before Disney made his park in France and Europa was supposed to be "Disney experience outside of US"
But yes thkse simmilarities are glaringly obvious
According to coasterstats, the midcourse drop delivers good ejector for those in back
I didn't get ejector on the days I've done it. It's good floater though.
I remember I really enjoyed the hangtimes this coaster(actually the latest clone in korea) offered.
I like this model too.
the first launch’s initial kick is 1g, then slowly tapers off to 0.2 by the end of the launch, which btw seems to last a lot longer than two seconds
I agree the launch feels like it lasts longer than the posted time.
nice review.
Thanks!
I love this ride, would be amazing if EP builded the first MACK giga coaster, hyped for the new big dipper though👌🏻
I'd love that.
If you think about it the MCBR comes on pretty quick. All you'd have is a launch, a turn and a loop and a turn.
When i was there Blue Fire had huges lines. When i had my first 2 rides i never rode it again because i don't think it's was worth it. I still think it's missing something layout wise. Maybe some airtime hills that actually offer airtime.
It's over 1 km long yet it doesn't off much. For a family or young ones it's a good starter though.
I think it's well-rounded.
My experience was that you had to be careful with the single rider line. Sometimes it was faster than the general line, sometimes it was about the same, and sometimes it was slower!
I kind of like the virtual queue more and hope it stays.
If that inversion really feels like a slower version of that heartline roll on Velocicoaster then I gotta book a flight out there ASAP
Europa is worth a flight easily.
That twist on the end was actually kinda scary to me with just lapbar...but then again I am still coaster noob
Did you like all restraints Mack manufactured on their roller coasters in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, etc.? What do you think?
I hate the modified restraints on Coast Rider.
Blue Fire was a last attempt to safe the company. If it had not worked out, Mack would almost definitely gone under. To say the coaster was inportent for them, almost does not do it justice, It's there hero and savior. Great video bdw. Love what your doing with your reviews
I wouldn't agree to that. Remember that Mack does a lot of family attractions, boat rides and so on. They would definetly still exist today without major thrill coasters, but Blue Fire was of course an amazing step up for the company.
I think Mack would have still done well, but they probably wouldn't have the thrill coasters they do today.
What do you think about the launch of:
Blue Fire at Europa Park
Sky Rocket at Kennywood
Poltergeist at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Xpress Platform 13 at Walibi Holland
Furius Baco at PortAventura
Do you think the launches are equally as strong, Canobie Coaster?
Baco has the strongest launch by far of those.
Just FYI: Europa Park has suspended the sponsorship of North Stream 2 for Blue Fire due to current events between Russia & Ukraine. The Sponsor was a Russian Gas-Company.
I had filmed this a few weeks ago, but I heard. I imagine the ride will still have a similar theme minus the sponsorship.
@@CanobieCoaster yes the basic theme will stay. I think it is the right decision for now by Europa Park. It's okay to leave the info in the video, that's why we have comment sections anyway. 😁
It would be cool to see more of these in the United States. I think it would be cool if Kings Dominion got some sort of Mack multi launch to replace Volcano.
I welcome more Macks.
What do you think about the launch of:
Blue Fire at Europa Park
Xpress Platform 13 at Walibi Holland
Sky Rocket at Kennywood
Thunderbird at Holiday World
Poltergeist at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Furius Baco at PortAventura
Furius Baco has the strongest launch by far of those.
Was the twisted horseshoe roll your favorite moment of Blue Fire?
No, the final barrel roll is the best part.
Here it is, the only Mack with an intense launch lol. But really, besides the good launch, not much else of the ride is the best. But for Mack's first of these, it's a great first. It is full of inversions and turns and a unique top hat that is literally not even a top hat, just a giant high turn thing. I just wish it wasn't cloned so much but there are som cool clones. Juat the fact that one in Australia modified it by adding a spinning seat and a spike lol.
Honestly I think their launches got worse each time. Manta at SeaWorld San Diego has a better launch than most of their later ones too.
Bluefire has a pretty unique launch compared to all other Mack Megacoasters, it feels much more forceful than any other
I'm surprised the first was the strongest.
What are the differences between those types of roller coaster force feelings?
airtime
negative Gs
hangtime
positive Gs
laterals
Airtime and negative Gs are the same (lift out of seat). Hangtime is when you are upside-down and dangle from your seat. Laterals are sideways forces. Positive Gs are when the forces make you feel heavy.
Literally just after Blue fire was open
Liseberg: I'M ASKING ONCE AGAIN FOR THE BEST COASTER EVER MADE
(It is Helix for those who don't know but it was over hyped)
I love Helix.
@@CanobieCoaster I was on it but it was overhyped coaster but i have to say its still my fav. Mack multilaunch only one bad thing about thing are The launches they are really weak
How long did it usually take you to get a slot when you refresh spammed?
It was variable. I'd try for a few minutes, go on a ride, and try again. Other times, I got lucky.
Just know that due to the war, Blue Fire's sponsorship with Gazprom/Nord Stream 2 has ended as the company is based in Russia.
I had filmed this a few weeks ago, but I heard. I imagine the ride will still have a similar theme minus the sponsorship.
on paper it looks like a watered down intamin blitz but i’m sure its fun.
It is fun.
"Mosasaurus Roll"? What is that?
The final barrel roll on Velocicoaster.
I do not care about the weakness of the launch. My home launch coaster (backlot stunt) has a terribly "trimmed" launch
That makes sense on Backlot though as a family coaster.
We need to find an alternate word you can use to replace "whip" every now and then 😅
I'll try, sorry!
@@CanobieCoaster haha, don't be, it was just a joke mate. Love your channel
Blue fire is a great rollercoaster for everyone. It's a good thrilling ride but not too intense so younger riders can experience it. It's also very re-ridable. It's not my favorite launch coaster but it's probably top 5. I prefer Taiga, Taron, Desert race and Anubis the ride. I do however like it better than Flucht von Novgorod and other MACK launch coasters such as Star trek operation enterprise.
It's well-rounded.
The sponsor has been removed from Blue Fire due to the Russia and Ukraine war.
I had filmed this a few weeks ago, but I heard. I imagine the ride will still have a similar theme minus the sponsorship.
@@CanobieCoaster I was at the park recently, the sponsor is gone but the basic theme stayed. On the big screen in the entrance building they play Europapark commercials and park cinematics.
It’s pretty mid
I enjoy it.
