      It's not that intense and they won't put on it extreme spinner seats becouse of its meant to be a family launch coaster and it can't be that thrilling like time traveler. When I was on it it was my first launch coaster and I still think it's an amazing rides for families

    Personnaly, I love blue fire.
    However, I agree with you, it's not extreme at all, there is no airtimes and the inversions aren't that impressive. But this coaster is not about this kind of things. For me, it's still a great ride because it's very enjoyable and even if it might not be as intense as its wooden neibourgh, the theming, the short darkride section, the music and the smoothness of this ride make it the best roller coaster in Europapark.

It's not really spectacular and doesn't deliver the punch I'm looking for the most. It's more of a relaxing experience almost. And yes, the Heartline Roll in the end is great though.

    As a Europapark Fanboy I who has other options about Blue Fire I have to say here that I can agree with most of your points.
    Yea sure it may not be that intense but it’s fun in my opinion and to add: For me the fun factor is more important than the intensity. Sure intensity is not completely unimportant but as long as a coaster is fun and has some force it’s completely fine to me.
    Over all, your reasons to say Blue Fire is not as great as it looks are reasonable and I can agree with most of your opinions.
    But there’s one thing that left disappointed me cuz you didn’t include it in the review:

  • @Achterbahnjunky
    @Achterbahnjunky Před 5 lety +2

    Hm...honestly it's been years since I've been on Blue Fire and back then it was my first launch coaster ever. I was somewhat experienced with them at the time tho, so I did think it wasn't an extreme ride by any means but that actually is why I kinda liked it. Take a B&M inverter that really kicks your butt with the g-forces for example. Those coasters are tough to do marathons on, but since Blue Fire is so tame, you can easily ride it multiple times in a row. I even liked the layout too (and I remember actually getting hangtime in the loop in the last row).
    But I'd really have to ride it again and see what I'd think nowadays.
    Spinning Cars on BF would be amazing. Europapark you tested them on it already, make it a permanent thing!

    I'm a type of person who isn't very picky about ride intensity as long as it's fun. I haven't gone to the park, but I want to,, and from what you say it sounds like honestly I'd really like this ride even though I had similar complaints about Millennium Force. It could be because I expected it to be more forceful though, and also as odd as it sounds, far too smooth. But I worry about launch coasters because of health issues and having the wind knocked out of me from the force, which is why I'm too afraid to ride Top Thrill Dragster even though I want to. I believe the only coaster with a launch I've ridden was Maverick which was a ton of fun. I think the most intense ride I rode was Fury 325 and while I loved it, it also made me feel sick for a while afterwards. Considering all that information is why I think I'd probably enjoy it a lot, as it seems fast and fun without being too intense much like Intimidator.

    I also don t think there is one special impressive thing about Blue Fire, but for me it is still a very great coaster, because it combines many very good aspects. You ve got a great looking, well themed ride, with a nice soundtrack, a good looking area around it, that combines 4 inversions, a launch, a nice ride comfort, tunnels...... there isn t one super impressing thing about it (ok come on the last heartline roll is very good!), but it is a good mix of all and that makes it for me.

  • @reillywalker195
    @reillywalker195 Před 5 lety +2

    I've never actually been to Europa Park, but I think Blue Fire is good for what it is. It's a prototype roller coaster presumably intended to appeal to the general public rather than to enthusiasts. The general public doesn't always want forceful rides, so this ride and the others it led to like Icon and Copperhead Strike shouldn't entirely be faulted for not being forceful. That said, I agree with you that the ride would probably be a lot more exciting for everyone if it used spinning trains, and I'd like to see Europa Park switch this ride's standard trains out for them.

    Europa park didn't have a noteworthy "coaster" until fairly recently. Blue Fire probably isn't the "signature attraction".
    It's a family park - the entire "thrill" genre doesn't really sit well with the park anyway.
    Blue Fire is probably as far as the park would go in that direction.

  • @eechauch5522

    I think your points about Bluefire are fair, I visited shortly after it opened and it was my first launched coaster at the time and for a few years I loved it. Recently after riding Taron or Karacho I started getting a bit bored with Bluefire though. It’s not a bad ride, but you can just feel it was the prototype. The technology was already there, but the layout needed improvement. I haven’t had the chance to try any of the other Mack launched coaster, but copperhead strike or Helix look like they learned their lesson from Bluefire.

    Also mack rides is now selling changes to every launch coaster that they can have a spinning car, helix, icon, coperhead can have a spinning car in they want, tested again on blue fire but no change stick, also thoose spining cars just like ride to happiness are free spin with a rotation limit

    Taylor it is interesting to see that we have completely opposite opinions on this ride. I rode Blue Fire once and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very forceful and had a really good ejector airtime moment going into the mid course. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought i would. That being said, I only got one ride and it was in the front row. I think that if you got to ride in the front then your opinions would have changed. It could be that the ride was not running well when you went, but anyways that's my opinion.

    That's the biggest problem at Europa Park. Almost all their coasters are Mack prototypes. So, all these rides are playing everything suuuper safe in terms of ride quality. Then try to make up for it with theming and experience. Sometimes works, often doesn't.

    Sorry for my English and Grammar in Advance.
    I actually like this ride. It isn't forceful at all that's right BUT it is enjoable.
    The launch might be not so forceful, but for me it did everything i have expected. It pressed me back into my seat. That's all what i thougt a launch is.
    My COASTER COUNT is below 30 and it was/is my first launched Coaster.
    The last inversion is indeed the best. I think everyone thinks that way xD
    For me a Coaster doesn't have to be forceful nor has to have airtime. Although i wouldn't mind it having some Airtime. :D

    • @kryn1030
      @kryn1030 Před 5 lety

      It actually doesn't go slow enough. It needs to go through those elements slower so you can get some good hang time. That's what a mack launch coaster is about.

    • @XGaming1

      Kieran Fulcher but look at the first over bank and every airtime hill and turn, I mean, if it was a little slower it would be more about hangtime and floater airtime but if it was a bit faster it would be more intense and rapid but right now it’s in between making it kind of weird and mixed

    Was at the Europa Park yesterday and I've never been on a real roller coaster before and I thought this thing was fun as hell.
    Is it really as bad as he says? Kinda makes me wish I went to another theme park because I just came for the coasters and I feel like I could have tried out better ones.

    • @MrMcMind
      @MrMcMind Před 5 lety +3

      honestly no, you shouldn't give too much of a thought about coaster enthusiasts opinions. You already recognised the most important thing about rollercoasters: fun.
      It doesn't matter that there might be "better" rides as long as you do have fun riding the one you can ride.
      There are bad coasters and you will recognise them once you have been on them. Mainly coasters that hurt you because they are too rough, and the ones that are based on your personal preference as boring. One criteria is obejctive the other more subjective... (For example on of my favorit coasters is euromir, a rather rough ride, relatively boring ride compared to others i have been on and yet it is one of my alltime favorit. why? because there is more to it then just statistics, the music, the theme =the atmosphere, intensity isn't everything, as in speed isn't everything in cars you should be worried about, you might even find that some rides labled good or great are too much for you => "bad")
      You dont have to dislike a perfectly fine ride just because other people say there are better rides in their opinion.
      And to add one of my opinions: europapark was a great choice; you will miss alot of the theming when once you visit other parks...

    I can see why Blue Fire disappointed you, but try to re-ride it in the future with another state of mind. Blue Fire is not the extreme launch coaster that some hope it to be, i personally enjoy Blue Fire véry much due to it’s exceptionally smooth, comftable, floaty ride experience. It’s not intense at all, that’s true, but i personally think it is a very solid, re-ridable fun coaster that more delivers the soaring around feeling rather than extreme elements and launches like it’s German brother Taron that is the exact opposite in terms of intensity and purpose.

    I like it a lot, it‘s only about an hour away from my home😄 but I dont have alot of coaster experience, I can only say that i prefer the blue fire over the hollywood rip ride in universal orlando 😁 But i agree sometimes i didnt really notice i went through loops and all lol. Maybe because it goes through with some speed, so its not as exciting as if it juuuust makes it over the apex🤔 Wodan for sure is an impressive construction, but to me this is a pretty rough ride, my neck doesnt particularly like lol

    I think you got in on a bad day or I got it on a good day. Between this and helix I actually think this one is more forceful. Now I prefer helix because it does so much more but looking at intensity blue fire is easily more intense. I got really good whip on those corkscrews and that final inline twist is absolutely crazy. Now you did make a comment about the mcbr which I did not feel on my blue fire rides, we just rolled through it so that probably is why our opinons differ.

      yes, oddly. Personally, the intensity definitely makes it feel more rough in places (like the first big turn, the first hill, and the one before you go into the back section), and, well why wouldn't it? But it's odd that seemingly everyone is ok with this but complains about GCI coasters that are like 5 years old, or even some classics which slow down enough to barely even be rough in spots by comparison. also, thanks for not being like "oh they re-track it all the time" like the ridicoulous fanboys who say this and have nothing to back it up. @@germancoasterenthusiast3123

  • @tmicecave
    @tmicecave Před 5 lety

    IMO the biggest problem with this ride is it is way too perfectly executed. Which sounds weird at first but I would argue you don't even need that seat mount because you are constantly mildly pushed into your seat - except for the last slow inversion. That's amazing from an engineering point of view, when you think about the three inversions, the loop and the two steep curves feeling like you are riding your bicycle but kind of boring for a megacoaster. It is still fun to ride of Course and the park is remarkably amazing.

      Depends on what you are looking for - I like blue fire much better because B&M Hypers are boring to me - nothing but floater hills. Hardly any snappy transitions, no inversions and all that.
      I personally really like blue fire, because i like the elements that make you feel weightless (Taylor would complain about lack of force even in a zero-G roll :D ).

      AuswahlApfel I know I am replying to this a year later, but which hyper coasters have you ridden? The two I have ridden are Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia and Intimidator at Carowinds and Goliath is actually a pretty good hyper in my opinion. The double helix is pretty forceful and the three back to back airtime hills at the end have a bit of flojector airtime. Intimidator isn’t quite as good and looks a lot more similar in layout to Silver Star than Goliath.
