- Prior to Mass Effect 2 comming out I am practicing Commentary over gameplay. Here I do a gameplay Commentary with some on the fly tips or tricks, not too much. this may be Insanity but with a level 59 character it is easy, I was already playing through in this so I decided to record.
This was my first time doing commentary in real-time with playing the game. doing that distracts me from actually playing sharp. next video I will do voice over seperate from the gameplay. still learning the most efficient way to do gameplay commentary so i'm ready for ME2 Videos - Hry

I appreciated you spending plenty of time in tactical and explaining strategies for clearing out tough enemies quickly. Working my way through ME2 on Hardcore at the moment and you've got some good tips :)
In ME1 all classes are kinda uber after getting certain levels even if you 're playing on insanity. In ME2 classes are well balanced. Take Adept for example,in ME1 at high levels you're a living god, nobody can stop you (not even 3 krogan charging at you) but in ME2,while you are still powerful, you can't go rambo on mobs , same happens with Vanguard. Anyways,as a vanguard you have biotic charge so that's a big plus, Charge > Use Shotgun = Huge dmg.

Still i kinda liked it more playing without the rifle, made you think more tacticaly about how to close in and finish them off with the shotgun

ah! it's funny to see how you're wrong.....
vanguard in ME is just a soldier with throw, lift and warp;
while in ME2 is a BEAST! Learn to time correctly moves in this order:
Charge->shotgun blast->cover->wait for the charge cooldown
(plus a little bit of care in choosing which enemies has to be killed first)
and even insanity will became pretty relaxing to play
(i speak from experience xD)
I guess you got this question a few times now, but still - how do you get a vanguard to use the assault rifle in ME1?
is there some place you can get a bonus ability like in ME2?

@eran5005 yeah if ur playing as a soldier class ur first play through, and you get 150 kills with a n assault rifle, you can play as any new character and have the ability to train in assault rifles.
@schwalbe it can still be used, its just that biotics are woefully ineffective on higher difficulties where all enemies have defenses. if you can use it well than kudos to you, but their is no wrong or right way to play so please hold back the negativity.

I am not denying it can be done, it just requires so much more effort than the other classes. It is good if you want a challenge but it really was nerfed compared to ME 1
how do i unlock insanity mode? Ive beat the game 4 times on normal and try to start a new one on hardcore but then when I start it new gives me an option on what difficutly to start it on (like it does the very 2st time you olay the game) so everytime i start a new one its automatically on normal and if i quickly change it after the game starts it doesent give me the achivement for playing on hardcore because i didnt have it on hardcore from the beggining
is the vangaurd fully leved up and those 2 teammates the best way to beat the game on insanity
I might have spoken before giving the vanguard a chance, but that doesn't mean my opinion is automatically void. I like the playstyle from the first game where the vanguard is a biotic soldier, but after giving it a chance the vanguard is still effective in ME2. However, in my opinion it has a higher learning curve than other classes in the game.
how do u ulock rifel training for vanguard
you have to finish the game and then make a new character, you'll can choose sniper rifle training or assault rifle
Can you get the assault rifle with your vangaurd class even if you already done a playthrough with a vanguard
funny how the vanguard is so damn effective in ME1 but in ME2 its only really good on lower difficulties

wow...totally what the vanguard was not supposed to be. shoulda taken barrier and hammerhead rounds with ur shotgun. much more effective. and liara with a singularity + your and tali's Carnage shot right into the center is devistating
