  • The MC21 Aircraft is the russian attempt to build brand new modern aircraft. It is an attempt to have an independent aircraft manufacturer.

    As the first Flight test Jet engine mechanic for the MC-21-300 in Zhukovsky 2017 and Siberia.
    It is the Airframe that Boeing should have built. 😊 I have a Degree in Aviation maintenance Technologies from the National Aviation Academy in Clearwater FL 4.0 GPA Second in my class. While living homeless in my pickup truck. So I do not think that anyone wanted to be an Aircraft Mechanic more than I did. ❤ I had changed BOTH main engine oil pumps and the first 6 hour flight was the first test flight after my work. All the trolls would love to spam this except for the fact that I put up a video of the Dump hotel Russia put me in in Moscow . 😅
    To my Russian friends that last sentence is American smart assed sarcasm 😂 The Moscow Hilton is as fine as a Hotel can be. 😊❤

    The MC 210 / 310 like the IL96 range are still in the teething stage and more upgrades will happen. Unlike Boeing and Airbus these aircraft are designed to operate in harsh conditions so they are more robust than western aircraft. Moreover, as far as upgrades are concerned, how many parts of the original B 737 or B747 would fit in a new aircraft ( except maybe tyres ) 20 % or less? Give the Russians a chance to develop their own planes.

    • @PlanesPlanesPlanes
      @PlanesPlanesPlanes  Před 10 dny

      Indeed. They do build to operate in harsh conditions.

      This is a comment from someone who do not know how planes are tested and certified. Boeing and Airbus do test their planes in very adverse conditions, from extreme heat to extreme cold.

      @@yvesd_fr1810 Maybe I know more about planes than you think. Adverse conditions do not only mean cold or heat but the condition of runaways and other factors too. Every plane flying at 3000 feet experiences temperatures of -60 degrees Celsius but it is also true that they have problems taking off if it

      Tell me please how Airbus and Boeing airliners are behaving in the Russian harsh conditions? In 2021 russian airlines fleet were composed by 3/4 of western aircrafts.
      Russian aerospace industry has no chance to succeed within the actual political situation, western sanctions and endemic corruption.
      Tell Putin to stop stealing his own country.

    It's a flagship product so I don't expect the market to boom 💥 immediately. The sanctions caused Russia to do alot locally. So I believe that the plane needs to work on local Russian routes for awhile before it breaks into the international market even by friendly countries but recall that considering Russians landmass they'll definitely have a ton of flights to give the plane credibility.. if they can archive that.. then considering it's price..which is way cheaper than Boeing & Airbus. They could get a market in China & friendly countries expecially those limited by sanctions too

    • @PlanesPlanesPlanes
      @PlanesPlanesPlanes  Před měsícem

      I quite agree. The country is big enough and they should just concentrate on the local market. If its a success others will show an interest.

    I would fly on MC-21 rather than a Boeing 737MAX. The MC-21 has been tested a lot. The only problem, the MC-21 does not have winglets.

      Western aircraft are robust, sophisticated, cheap to operate and reliable.

  • @guillermojimenezcastelblan8456

    The number of planes would be exact number to those confiscated in Russian Federation to a bunch of Leasing western companies, and they were about 700 or 750 units consisting in many A 320-319-321 among a huge amount of B 737 NG 800-900 series as well. This MC 21 it`s the main competitor, a natural aircraft replacement equipment, but it depends on the efficiency on the assembly line, how fast they could produce in a day once they get the ultimate Worthiness Certifications documents. There are many Euro Asia and South Pacific-Oceania potential costumers, needing for a 2.500 to 3.000 nautical miles range, because this model promises to be 15 to 20 million dollars lower price tag sales list. Something to consider in today`s economy global situation.

    The 8 off that have been built for flight test have Pratt & Whitney engines and British built wheels, brakes and braking system. This means the aircraft will need to be redesigned as it will not met the specification it current has for its type approval. So far the changes have left the aircraft over weight, under powered and it can't meet its flight ceiling.

    • @PlanesPlanesPlanes
      @PlanesPlanesPlanes  Před měsícem

      Thanks for that. They have more than 8 test planes at the moment. The last information I saw last night from a Russian channel suggests that it will definitely not come into service this year, that full scale production has not started and they are behind on recruiting maintenance staff. The plane has still not received certification by the Russian authorities. At this rate we will be lucky to see this plane in service in 2025.

    The Western rotten “exceptionalist” mentality does not allow you to look at things sensibly and correctly assess the potential of this bird.
    Firstly, Belarus is not another state for Russia, we have been one state for a long time, Monaco and France have the same analogy.
    Secondly, the fact that the release may be delayed by 1 or 2 years indicates that aircraft engineers are not in a hurry to develop the aircraft. People in Russia are not worried, because they are confident in their designers and test pilots in such difficult times.
    Third, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, a completely independent aircraft platform, separated from prohibitions on the part of airframe, avionics or engine manufacturers from the “West”, makes this aircraft non-toxic from American-European sanctions. The first foreign customer will most likely be Iran and other countries of the global south.
    Due to the foreign Sam-146 engines, export bans/sanctions were imposed on the Sukhoi Jet-100 aircraft during the planned sale to Iran.
    Addition: I am correcting obvious errors in the video. The aircraft was initially planned with two optional engines, at the customer's choice (American and Russian). Geopolitical problems were calculated, and Westerners were not trusted from the very beginning.
    There have never been any problems with the wing, this is stupid propaganda. The State Department announced in 2019 a ban on the export of Japanese carbon fiber, which was replaced a few months later by Russian-made carbon fiber from the huge nuclear corporation Rosatom. This is a huge technological conglomerate famous for the highest quality of work.
    Typically, Western critics also mention the problem of the lack of winglets on the wings of the Sukhoi Jet-100 and MS-21. In this case, they will forget about the presence of a single carbon “black” wing over the long one (in the west there is a wing made up of parts). The presence of excess weight at the end of the wing was also calculated by the engineers, and has its own huge problems.
    Correctly write the name of the aircraft in English MS-21. MC is in Russian.
