Great Video, very helpful for all the coffee fans out there. Keep up the good work.. Cheers 👍🏻
It's a very good explanation. Someone gifted the same to us. Just only we came to know. Thanx a lot sir👍
I'd just bought this Pigeon coffee percolator. This video has helped me using it.
very neatly explained about the percolator. Thanks for the detailed video from start to finish. Very new to all these.... We used only steel ones which is older type of madras filter coffee😊 We need to switch to percolator now😊
Great clear instructional video. I will also try Akshat Thakur's method to see if that works. I use 100% coffee. The amount of decoction was a lot, but not too dilute. Not as thick as what is shown here either. Thank you!
super n simple video, thx
Longer the coffee remains in contact with the water more are the chances of it getting over extracted and bitter. 10-15 mins seems too long for brewing process instead you can use boiling water in the percolator and then brew, brew time will be short and thereby coffee will be less astringent

I use both, and I can get you strong decoction in the traditional one as well. It's all about the measurements.
which tastes best? plz guide.
I use a traditional coffee filter and get stronger decoction no issues with traditional filter. 👍🙏👌
@@rashmikrishnamurthy7725 how much water do you use? I was unable to make any coffee with it! 🙈
Great video 👍

Thanks! The comments are inspiring. Hope I'll able to make more videos in future.
Helpfull video.. 👍
You have clarity in you video. Thanks for the video. Cheers!
Thank you this helped us
Very well said thank u
I use a traditional coffee filter, and get stronger decoction with no issues. It takes a little longer time for percolation . 👍🙏👌
Coffee addict here. I keep experimenting. With traditional also, we can get really thick decoction. The trick is to NOT to use the steel filter that comes with it. My mom uses it and the decoction comes very watery. But without it, loosely packed powder, it comes very thick. Also, I can keep adding water for 2 more days little by little and still keep milking decoction out of the same powder. But after day 2, the coffee decoction taste becomes bitter. We have to do it as cothas coffee 500gm in US is $10 in bay area. Percolator is new toy to play with for me. Using too much water as suggested makes the decoction very light.
But the decoction doesn't come up if you don't add enough water ,I guess I haven't perfected the balancing though .
czcams.com/video/Klj2dneBJIs/video.html
If you don't use that Steel filter that comes along . What's the alternative to extract. Kindly suggest. I am looking for a thicker decoction.
How to get a thicker decoction
Excellent sir
Very good video
The decoction looks great but I'd suggest adding some sort of on screen explanatory text for amount of ingredients, time taken to make the decoction, etc.
Hope you find this suggestion of value! :)
6 cup one or 4 cup one is this???i was planing on get one
How to make thick filter coffee? Link to buy coffee used by you
So we have to use same methods for all kinds of branded filter coffee powders!
Can we just keep the upper part seperately?? Or not?
Can i use it on induction stove
Thank you, good video. How easy is to clean the perculator after use?
past 6 months using. the main problem is cleaning, it is very difficult. the whole body is thin and the bottom portion is now almost turning black. Cleaning is the main problem.
Does the coffee chamber needs to be fully filled all the time., what to do If I just need to make 1 cup of coffee... can I fill the chamber with just 1 spoon coffee, less water and still get the right decoction ?
Thank you Sir
Is it necessary to fill the cup fully with coffee powder. Can I use the one and half spoon powder as my preference.
Ashok Tondwalkar yes you can. Accordingly reduce the amount of water.
I always use low flame but I never get thick decoction, any idea what could be wrong.
Can I keep excess in friz
Shall I keep decoction in fridge for freshness?????? Please reply
My coffee decotion is not flowing from top. What to do ?
Is it necessary to fill the coffee till top, I want to make only 1 small cup 150ml after adding milk coffee with it !.
How to I do it. ?
w2hat if you just want to make one or two cups of black coffee?
Can we use tea powder instead of coffee 🤷
Sir my decoction is not flowing from top.but my coffee turn black from bottom .what to do
Thank you
To make one cup of coffee say about 200 ml how much coffee powder has to be put? Secondly can this mixture be carried along while traveling and can be consumed later by adding hot milk in decoction?
It depends on the size of the percolator. The one I'm using makes around 200ml decoction. Yes, the decoction can be kept around 2 days of u are traveling.
So for eight glasses i have to put on gas for 8 times, kindly clarify. if yes then do i need to refill the coffee and water as well.
for 8 glasses you need to make as much decoction as possible beforehand, decoction lasts for a day or two i think
I've the simple decoction dripping version but I've seen this version on amazon.
I looked up mokka pot but that has rubber parts.
Maybe I'll buy this
Your video would have much appreciated if you have added the quantity of water in mililiters and coffee in grams . Coffee making is an art when ingredients are correctly added and mixed
👍👍🙂
What is the size of moka pot did you use is it 200 or 300 ml
Can we store the decoction to use it next day or is it to be used instantly
The first time when I brewed my coffee it worked just the way it's shown in the video. Then onwards the decoction doesn't collect up but in the lower container. What should be done?
Don't impact , or press down the coffee powder too tightly.
And do not use very fine ground coffee powder.
Should complete that process.... please show also for Black Coffee lovers like me
Sorry. I don't drink black coffee. So won't be able to help there.
Take It Easy - It’s ok...😊😊
Use klesser quantity of coffee powder or dilute with hot water
Not worth buying. Worst product. Traditional filter is the best for making coffee
Shall I add milk to this and have? And water for black coffee?
Hi. This is only to collect decoction. U have to make coffee separately. This is not a coffee maker.
You can add hot water to dilute. Better use pure coffee as chicory mixture coffee will have bitter taste in black coffee
Hi I have one very similar to yours but my water didn't come up into the top part of my moka pot 🥺 what can I do to fix this problem?
Maybe ya pressed the coffee a bit tighter or prolly a faulty gasket
wonderful. i can feel the flavour and aroma of brahmin filter coffee. Thank you from a coffee lover for making this video.
What the fuck is Brahmin filter coffee ? 😂😂😂

Mokka pot is similar but is a completely different thing
This filter amount,, spek sir,
Can we store the left out decoction if we r making 4 only one person?
Raweeda Raheman yes, you can store the decoction for a couple of days!
@@anjalijoshi7442 Do we need to store it in a refrigerator or at room temperature ??
Also, basically this decoction is what an espresso shot is right... ?? So we have to use this as a base for making Americano , latte, cappuccino etc right ??
Can it be used on an induction cook top
Yes. This model from Pigeon is made of steel, which works with induction cooktops. So you can use it, but use the lowest possible temperature settings.
im using malgudi coffee with this and it tastes like burnt wood, am i doing something wrong here?
One cup coffee how much Coffee need
Can this be used on induction ??
Late reply. But hope it will help others.
Yes. I saw graphic of induction on Amazon. It is the same brand Pigeon. But the base shuld be at least 4 inch.

What is the cost
Can be used on induction stove?

What is the price?
Please let me know where can i repair my meenakshi grinder. I reside in Coimbatore.
This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
Where can I get this type
Of percolator
It is similar to bialetti
It’s easily available in steel shops and also amazon , u can also find the link in comment section.

Cleaning is difficult in this type of coffee maker? How ur cleaning this? Need rply.... Bcos will idea to buy
Priya Bharath Kumar It’s not very difficult to clean, it can be easily disassembled and cleaned. I use tooth brush to clean on daily basis.
Can you refer the best coffee perculator in India?
asfiya fathima I am using Pegion for quite some time, it’s just amazing.
Hi, do we need to replace gasket or any other part?
sajan yerra i have been using this percolator for more than a year, I did not feel the need of changing any parts.

@PRATIBHA YADAV its Pegion brand coffee percolator
@PRATIBHA YADAV Same problem.Did you buy this/any other moka pot?
I think its another variety of moka pot. Its bonkers that Pigeon marketing team went with 'espresso'. You can use hot water in the chamber to speed up the process. Not boiling water, but hot water. Once the upper chamber starts with the noise and slows down the decoction we should turn of the heat asap. The last drips will be too bitter and if left for longer will make the whole coffee bitter. Its essentially a mini pressure cooker, so use with caution w.r.t sealing and filling up water till the marker.
Are u kannadiga
It's an chikamagalur coffee
Hi, I am making this style for the first time. But decoction is very watery. I added water to the level you mentioned and 2 spoons of filter coffee (90-10%) kept on gas for some 4mins it started filling one glass of decoction. Is it my method wrong or is it the product problem?
You must add more coffee powder or reduce water quantity
@@KesavanRajendranlion thank you for replying. I experimented with less water (lowest flame in the smaller side)- but it started coffee burning smell and watery.. wasted 4 times coffee so far.
The quantity of coffee powder used may be less compared to the capacity of the coffee maker. Coffee powder in filter chamber should be sufficient to develop enough pressure in the lower chamber. Only then you will get thick decoction. If pressure is low decoction will be watery.
@@rgsfilmmaker Actually the brewing time is around 3to 4 minutes. The heat should be just right not too much or too less. It can vary depending on the cup size or volume of the coffee maker. Experimenting with variations in flame is necessary. Please watch some more videos on Moka pot coffee maker. The filter chamber must be full of coffee powder to generate enough pressure in the lower chamber
@@KesavanRajendranlion sir, thanks for taking effort and responding. I tried with same quantity and methods as mentioned in the video. It’s watery. Tried another method of adding already boiled water and tested, it wasn’t that good. I feel instead of simplifying my life. This product is just complicating
Heating for 15 mins? It's going to be Over extracted.
Blessings to all
26 Praise the Lord. God bless you 86. Thank you.Hallelujah.91
What's it's meaning 26,86,91??
Can anyone help me why the percolator is giving me very thin decoction ? And the decoction is ready in a few seconds after placing it on the stove. Is it because of the heat ?? I have the same model of the filter shown in the video.
Even I'm facing the same problem
Keep low flame, you'll get super strong decoction but it takes time
It could be the coffee powder. Try different combinations of coffee:chicory mix. 80:20 or 70:30
its a waste thing. in ordinary filter coffee you place hot water and keep it on a place and the dicoction will be collected, but in this waste of gas and you have to stay before the stove thats my opinion if it is electrically it may be usefull to some sextent.
That's moka pot and not filter coffee
8 glasses my ass
Waste of fuel, just to prepare 3 to 5 cup of coffee we have to waste more than 30min of fuel...

Thank you
