    Great clear instructional video. I will also try Akshat Thakur's method to see if that works. I use 100% coffee. The amount of decoction was a lot, but not too dilute. Not as thick as what is shown here either. Thank you!

    Longer the coffee remains in contact with the water more are the chances of it getting over extracted and bitter. 10-15 mins seems too long for brewing process instead you can use boiling water in the percolator and then brew, brew time will be short and thereby coffee will be less astringent

    Coffee addict here. I keep experimenting. With traditional also, we can get really thick decoction. The trick is to NOT to use the steel filter that comes with it. My mom uses it and the decoction comes very watery. But without it, loosely packed powder, it comes very thick. Also, I can keep adding water for 2 more days little by little and still keep milking decoction out of the same powder. But after day 2, the coffee decoction taste becomes bitter. We have to do it as cothas coffee 500gm in US is $10 in bay area. Percolator is new toy to play with for me. Using too much water as suggested makes the decoction very light.

    This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

    @manojbharadwaj456 Před 6 měsíci

    I think its another variety of moka pot. Its bonkers that Pigeon marketing team went with 'espresso'. You can use hot water in the chamber to speed up the process. Not boiling water, but hot water. Once the upper chamber starts with the noise and slows down the decoction we should turn of the heat asap. The last drips will be too bitter and if left for longer will make the whole coffee bitter. Its essentially a mini pressure cooker, so use with caution w.r.t sealing and filling up water till the marker.

      The quantity of coffee powder used may be less compared to the capacity of the coffee maker. Coffee powder in filter chamber should be sufficient to develop enough pressure in the lower chamber. Only then you will get thick decoction. If pressure is low decoction will be watery.

    • @KesavanRajendranlion
      @KesavanRajendranlion Před 3 lety +1

      @@rgsfilmmaker Actually the brewing time is around 3to 4 minutes. The heat should be just right not too much or too less. It can vary depending on the cup size or volume of the coffee maker.
