@@creationholic101 Everything was fine until the glue and paper clip action.
What was wrong; Only sand from the beginning with 1000 grit sandpaper.
You would have to start with 320 grit and increase step by step to 1000 grit.

I've done the first and last trick before with bits of wire - kind of crude but an effective repair in low load applications - just a word of caution though is that heat hitting CA glue makes for some nasty fumes!

That's interesting. But where I live, the heat gun is much more expensive than new glasses.

Soldering iron, not a heat gun. A heat gun is an entirely different thing. Words mean things.

What if your frame is Rodenstock??
The point is the lens has to be set at the particular angle in the frame. So once you broke your glasses you have to change it and nothing else you can do.
