Jd manual stated 15 not TDC and my pump do align on that setting too (15) been using that for over 40 years so I think that it may relate to early years my tractor was one of the first 4010 Diesel built.
That's what my book says too. I think TDC was for later years like he said at the end of the video. His is 63 so I think that's why otherwise early years is 15 before TDC
@@lankford1977 I am rebuilding the dual selective control valve that started seeping oil around the bolts after I increased the oil pressure to 25psi from 21psi it did work great and more powerful then the old seals did not like that. The kit no longer available so I had to order bolt by bolt to makeup the kit…the kit was under $50 and to replace it cost me $282.00 that included the valves, springs, gaskets, ballbearing x2
@@Respectearnednotgiven I don't have duals on mine though I'm looking to have them as I have the front bucket. I wouldn't need the valve body though per se as I just need constant flow to the bucket controls
@@lankford1977 lucky you if you got the bucket I been looking fir one that fit but the prices are too extreme and if I found one the shipping exceed the asking price and locally in California high demand on them
Got one rebuild for US$690 exchange use as backup. Exact model and specs. When buying rebuild make sure that the numbers and letters on your pump match exactly if not you will get headaches again lol
Thanks for that simple to the point video. Some of these basic things can be hard to locate online.

How much did it cost you to get it rebuilt and did you take it to a john deere place to get it done?
It was around $1200 canadian to get it rebuilt at a diesel shop. Now it works perfectly.
