Pretty sure when the psychologist said she had been practicing for 15 years she meant under a variety of licenses. She’s been a licensed psychologist for 10 but has been doing other similar jobs for 15. That’s just my guess though. I work in mental health and have for the last 4 years but I’ve only been licensed under my current license for 1.5 years. Before that I was working a different position that required a different license.
One thing to comment on: Licensure takes time to get. She can be legally practicing, but not licensed. You typically work under someone who is licensed until you get your own. So practicing 15 years total, but licensed for 10, it sounds about right.

Pretty sure when the psychologist said she had been practicing for 15 years she meant under a variety of licenses. She’s been a licensed psychologist for 10 but has been doing other similar jobs for 15. That’s just my guess though. I work in mental health and have for the last 4 years but I’ve only been licensed under my current license for 1.5 years. Before that I was working a different position that required a different license.

One thing to comment on: Licensure takes time to get. She can be legally practicing, but not licensed. You typically work under someone who is licensed until you get your own. So practicing 15 years total, but licensed for 10, it sounds about right.

About the practicing and license thing, it’s not a fail from her side.
You usually have things like „Traineeship“ which goes for a few years before you get your license. So it makes absolute sense that she’s practicing for 15 years and got her license 10 years ago.
