'I want to be a champion skater and a writer. I want my picture in all the magazines. Maybe I'll be a movie star. I want to be different from all the other girls. I want to be a modern women. I want to travel. I want to study languages, languages and history. I want to do everything. I want to...'
I remember trying desperately to keep this tune in my head after watching this movie while reading the book in middle school - I thought I would forget about it or never hear it again. I'm so glad to hear it now :)
What I love more? The soundtracks. Each movie has a story. Without its music it's just a story. Music can express feelings. Anna frank the movie? It's the story. There are no words to be spoken about this film, and soundtrack. Life is so unfair.
I just wached the movie, I'm crying my eyes out. Very well made. I also read the book. Anne was a really modern girl way ahead of her time i would say. I would have loved to be her friend, and I would also adore to read all of her novels and stories. See Anne, in the end, you did became a magnificent writer, and your books traveled all over the world.
People say not to think about what could have been. However, the Frank family is one of those cases where I can say otherwise. I can’t help but think what could have happened if Margot and Anne survived those last few weeks of Bergen Belsen. I wish they survived. I always think of how Otto’s life would have been a bit different if his daughters came home. We can’t erase the past, but we can remember it.
This song makes me ruminate about the many bicycles that roam around the city streets, the beautifully paved roads, the trees that align perfectly with the quieting canal with their beautiful swans floating across... A serene and still day back when things were simple, which was then disrupted by genesis of World War II. It's such a pity.
although this movie is as old as i am i can definitely say that it is one of the best, most powerful i've seen. before the movie i quite honestly didn't know much about her at all aside for the fact that she was a victim of the holocaust. after having seen it in my english class this year, it has influenced me to learn as much as i can about anne and the other people involved in her life, and about the holocaust as i can; i'm currently reading her diary and plan to read tales from the secret annexe next. i have several other books on my list as well. kudos to the actors for portraying their characters so well and to the whole crew that produced it. the realism (the actors actually cut their hair short for the auschwitz scene!) and soundtrack and storytelling makes for an engaging experience.
Anne reminds me so much of myself as a young teen. Huge goals and dreams for life. Imagination as big as the universe. Shy on the imside and bold on the outside. She is my soul sister
im watching this movie in my english class. The music always catches my attention. Its so beautiful. Learning about the story of anne frank is so interesting, but also sad.
Such a sad movie, we watched it for school, after the movie I broke down and cried in the hall, I love Anne Frank, she is a huge inspiration to me, pretty, intelligent, and couragoues. Rest in Peace Miep Gies,Margot,Anne,Edith, and Otto Frank.
Hannah Taylor Gordon did an amazing, wonderful, magnificent, beautiful job portraying anne. She actually cut her hair off. How brave.:) I can't believe I can't find any interviews with the cast. Can anyone tell me about her new movie tragedy of macbeth? Is it just for the uk?
I remember watching this when I was in 8th grade. I actually went out in the hall when the people in the Secret Annex got arrested. This music is perfect for introducing this movie. February 1939. Anne Frank had no idea that very soon, her life would change forever.
Thank you so much for posting the soundtrack and movie. Very much appreciated! I have been remembering this theme for so long and hoping I would hear it again in full (not just a 30 sec sample). Again thank you
Since I heard this for the first time, I've thought this is the only melody that describes Amsterdam perfectly. From 0:01 to 0:30 I almost see the people in bycicles, the canals, the narrow buildings... If I could learn Dutch, I would go to live there!

+M1GarandMan3005 Yeah he is a good composer, it just seems odd that a person who composes music for a shooter game also composed music for a movie about a holocaust victim
I like the song. It's telling how lucky life Anne had and how much she wanted to live her life. Meanwhile the song telling us that she doesn't knows what gonna happened to them all. Rest in peace.
Toda vez que eu escuto essa maravilha de música eu penso na Hannah Taylor gordon e na Anne Frank ❤😊 amo ela a Hannah Taylor e minha atril preferida e a Anne Frank a minha escritora favorita
I love how anne kinda like it in the camp bc she could explore and finally feel and seethe outside world no matter how abusive, bad and torturous it was she is a VERY big insperation to me love you anne, otto, margot, eda, peter and the rest including the cats, miep and others
I cried during this movie but it was good. Too bad she died...If she wrote more books, then she would be my favorite author no doubt. I think we could have been best friends. In our thoughts always.
Even though she died she got what she always wanted to be heard to be for who she was to not be like everyone else but to be something else to be.........
Yes, and her story is one of more than 1 million children whose stories are never heard. If I could I would like to know about each of the victims of holocaust.

None of that cane true
There’s no telling what she could have done if she had survived. She could have done all that and more.
She achieved her dream in death
She became a famous writer with her diary
But her diary is accomplishing her all desires.
@@charliealbon3447 but Margot and Peter dreams
This song really adds to the story, and gives you the feeling of sorrow and compassion for the Frank family.

Han Sanitizer literally! I had to search it for a while and then since I found it, I come back and listen to it after some time 😊
I was exactly the same! 5 years later in randomly popped into my head and how here i am listening to it again lol

I can not explain how much I enjoy this music and how well she portrays her character. I really brings out the feels in yourself.
I just wached the movie,

the scene where otto frank walked home alone not knowing if his family was alive or not broke my heart
She was an amazing person. Just imagining the stories she could of wrote if coming to America. Heart breaking
I just hope one day historian experts will find a copy of Mrs. Quackenbush.

Of course Amsterdam is still a very beautiful city today! It makes me want to go and visit sometime. ^.^
mjstudios97 yeah i know right i want that to be my 18th birthday gift 😍
Beautiful comment, i want to go neverlands as well
God, she was such a brave and adorable girl. I loved to read her diary even though it was sad and partly shocking.

Those young eyes , the music score and the tesion thats builds this profound vulnerable emotion ..... ..
A piece of art.
not to be dramatic, but this soundtrack forever changed me
So ein toller Film. Grossartige Musik und tolle Schauspieler. Viel besser als die Neuverfilmung.
i was 3 months old when the miniseries premiered in March 2001

Bellissimo film, bellissima musica, bravissimi attori e tristissima storia! In ricordo di te, Anna, piccola grande donna!
Shame there is no released soundtrack. For such a serious story of history, it's a beautiful score.
This piece of music is adorable. I have the DVD and it is my favourite film of all time. How can one not like this song?
Ahhh, Ilove this song!!!
BEAUTIFUL.
I have been looking for this for 2 years since I saw this in our English class for the Holocaust study! Thank you thank you!
yes it reminds you alot of Anne. Its so elegant, but playful at the same time. Very much how Anne came across in her writings.

From Graeme Revell, the composer of Call of Duty 2, comes Anne Frank: The Whole Story.
yeah there seems to be something wrong with that
