this one has 6 but we ignore the first so it's 5...
You have to listen to the exact beats where the 5 notes hit each time. There can be extra syllables sprinkled in front of it or behind it, as long as the 5 notes keep hitting in the same place of the measure.
Nine-teen sev-en (ty) nine
The (ty) is irrelevant, because the other syllables all hit in the same parts of the measure that they will the next time the hook occurs.

@@Turtlpwr specifically says "Hit" songwriting formula. /shrug I thought for sure there would actually be a hit song by the person that discovered the "secret". If there isn't that's fine. I found the video insightful in analyzing hit songs but definitely not a secret since it's on youtube and as the video shows it's been used many times. The title is misleading and initially lead me to believe I could watch it and write a hit song. Honestly, it's a clickbait title and there is nothing wrong with trying to get more views.
