EA Gave out incorrectly weighted Ligue 1 UT Champs rewards last night for around 7 hours, and anyone who completed the wins required to get a player pick were given either TOTS Mbappe, TOTS Dembele, TOTS Thuram, TOTS Zaire-Emery or TOTS David. They subsequently "fixed" it, enraging an entire community.

If the picks were broken the other way and the bad cards were even more common than normal, we would never even know and EA would never communicate it/update them

The worst part for me is like you said the "unintended results". Just say to the community that the red picks had incorrect odds but don't tell your player base that your intention is for everyone to get bad rewards.
Well obviously the whole community getting Dembele or Mbappe is unintended results? Why would they ever intend to give out 8m-15m cards to all players that completed champs within that time frame? It was clearly unintended and thats the correct word to use, the real problem is that the intended odds of these Mbappes and Demebeles and Haalands and the top players are nonexistent normally.

Despite the issues we all know about im the same as you and I’ve generally enjoyed the game. I’ve played every day since September and have spent upwards of £500 but since what happened yesterday its like a switch in my head that’s gone off and I’ve just lost all interest and desire to play the game and I don’t even care. I’ve played fifa since World Cup 98 and this is the first time I’ve felt like this and won’t be back until eafc25 at least.
Also next weekend people in champs are going to have crazy squads which is going to reduce peoples chances of getting their usual rank and therefore increase their chances of getting even worse rewards. What a joke

“Unintended results” is nothing short of absolutely disgraceful a billion dollar company deliberately admitting and trying to screw over their loyal player base who for some have played their games for YEARS is sick
This company does not deserve to be making millions on this game. They put out a poor product and had mess up after mess up. If you want change people need to stand up together and boycott this game. The little man needs to stand up against this behemoth. They think they are untouchable.

Can we mention the obvious that this is illegal too I'm pretty sure? When you're on betting sites, you can opt in or out for your bet to follow the market. Meaning if the odds increase so does your potential returns. But you obviously run the risk of the odds decreasing and so your returns too. If you do not consent to this then betting sites cannot adjust your bet and it is locked in. How can EA actively adjust probabilities of getting certain players without the consent first? Is it in their terms and conditions because if not, that is fraud.

This is an absolute disgrace from EA. A couple of weeks ago they fucked up to in Champs with people getting the wrong rewards after they updated them and they said they we were going to get compensated and I still have not gotten the correct rewards. This company is just crazy and we should all do something about it.

I absolutely hate this… I was on holiday for the last few days as I’d went to see the NorthWest 200 motorbike races. Figured a few days off wouldn’t make a big difference. Come back just to see I’d not only missed my chance to get these reds but probably am going to get some of the worst players when I do play.

This is my best year in FIFA/EA FC but that doesn’t stop me from seeing the amount of glitches, server issues, and huge errors EA does almost every week. It’s the worst FIFA they’ve released gameplay and overall wise in the longest time.
I think it shows now, that EA control how many players will get the best card in red pp in that moment of time instead of a equal chance for everyone.

The INTENTION is to keep you on the game wasting money and hoping you get a card you will never get. I’m not good enough to even get 11 wins. Glad everyone got a 95-97 rated tho. Nep you are the FIFA GOD, it’s your job to put your foot down and speak what the community feels sometimes. We all enjoy the game like you and love our teams but at what cost? They are taking advantage of us. We’ve given up more than enough and it’s not fair. I really hope the game dies and someone else just takes the evos idea, save your money time and mental. From my personal experience, since fifa 18 I started testing opening my packs/rewards between 12 am - 9 am uk time and felt the pack odds are way better, just saying from my own experience
The biggest thing I took from this entire video is you stating been if EA screws up this badly, people will keep playing it - it's true. I don't believe 98% of the people that say they are uninstalling and never playing the game again. Unless people boycott or make a stand, these things will keep occurring, and likely get worse
Nah man people have quit. Numbers are way down since Toty messi. This will only continue that trend. I know for me personally it was the final thing that pushed me over into not buying next game. Only way to upgrade at this point is through glitches
Finished Saturday dinner time and got Golovin and Zakaria out of my red picks, it’s so unfair that I’ll have to play so many Emerys and Dembeles next weekend league and I missed out on the chance of getting them. Very bad from EA, honestly makes me not want to play it as opposed to if I did get them in my red picks and be sat playing with them all week enjoying being rewarded for the time I’ve spent on the game for once 👎

The problem is to get EA to do anything about this game and future games then we all need to stop playing it or at least reduce our playing time! As long as people are spending money on it they literally do not care about fairness or if we enjoy it or not. They play on our love for football to draw us in so that they can utlilize different promos to make us feel like we will be missing out so as to spend our hard earned money for what is quite literally nothing in return! EA and us have forgotten that this is just a computer game and until the main player base does something it will be an endless cycle

This is the reason why i stick to game modes like squad battles and UT friendlies at this stage of fifa. Why bother facing against glitched god squads in rivals and champs 24/7 when you can just have a chill, relaxed time on squad battles? Just for when you do play rivals and champs, you get nothing good from it because of EAs bullshit.

Finished 20 minutes.after they patched it and got two fodder reds. It’s super unfair because i competed against players who still got the good red picks and I will have to compete against them next weekend league or in rivals.
It’s true even for just gold cards. Certain gold cards are not seen for a while even though they don’t have special cards in a promo so they should be in packs but you don’t see them bc they’re not in the rotation then a few days later, the cards you used to see do not appear anymore but a new set of 81-84 rtd cards are in the rotation

There should be laws to regulate games like this. Might seem far-fetched but given the mistakes EA make and the real-world money spent on this game means this is more than just a game.
The leaks which occur on cards, and EA seemingly have done very little to stop them, had effects on the market. Anywhere else, these leaks could be seen as insider trading.
I’ll finish this game as my final EA cycle, but I can’t bare the thought of playing it next year. I feel like a cash cow and I am sick of it.

He is right: who cares? I mean, its another mess up by EA, nothing special, it is EA - I play UT since 2013 and every year, EA messed up more than one thing. At this stage of the game, I don't really care anymore, but I know ppl, who got scared (no shit) from red players and when they see Mbappe or Dembele, they quit. This game isn't bout skill, its bout the current gameplay. I won many games with my med squad, just cuz the gameplay was good and I play very casual since 2020 (Div3, no WL), so anyone who plays more, should be in Div1 or Elite at least. EA is EA and will be EA, so we can't do nothing and since there are no other games like this, we are bounded to FIFA / EA FC and EA knows that.
But I dont go with the power curve stuff. Sure, the curve changes but I still use VDS TS, Desailly Evo, TOTY Dias, Hemp FS or Beckham FS as a CM - when gameplay is broken, it doesnt matter and remember, I play very casual and I'm already in Div3, shortly before Div2 with players like these and low effort/time... so when the gameplay is fine, even outdated players can be good, if you are good and im for sure no pro or something... not nowadays.
The only way to fix it, is to take all the red mbappe and dembele out of the game... And give everyone who got them as rewards new pics.

These things will continue to happen due to EAs inability to work hard and take note of the tiny small details which is what most successful massive businesses do. But also the fact that as a community nothing happens, because we are all frustrated but from the current amount of active players at least 80% will be playing champs next week. They constantly make horrendous makes and are never held accountable by the community

I think the worst part about the compensation is that for players who dont have the players for these sbcs, or a good team to compete in champs, whilst the people who do, literally just get more

Frankly speaking… why would EA bother to show respect or apologise to the community since they know that despite their game being utter garbage the people will continue spending big money on it. Easiest fix for them was letting it as it was, and then nerfing those cards secretly after 1 week or so (we all know they can).
But the problem. What If I wanted cherki. I wouldn't get that option. And because of all the untreadble cards and prices on the floor for high rated gold cards. Money won't buy me them either. I think that is a problem aswell.
I am so sick and tired that every single time the tryhards that have no life and live on this game always get the good stuff and then destroy it for everyone else by making it public.
