    And so, the best two hours of Star Wars content approaches...
    Seriously, if they were a movie, the last four episodes would easily match just about anything that has ever released in the IP.

    The whole plan went over the sisters' heads at first, lol. They should've known that their family was killed, so the "threat" was, in reality, fake info, and just a get out of jail free card.
    "Crimson Dawn" was first mentioned in Solo, the movie, fyi.

    It’s weird they used the Raptor sounds from Jurassic Park for the Trandoshans.

    This arc is a bit underated yet I think this episode is crucial to Ahsoka for really understanding that her path is a jedi or at least with the jedi is an important lesson that will be present in the future a few times if you will also delve into some of the books or further SW series.
    Now! As all I am waiting to your reaction to the end of the season as it is amazingggggg and I hope you will continue to watch Star wars rebels

    And with that, we only have one more arc to go! Looks like we're heading back to Mandalore to finish things off, and it would seem that Ahsoka made an impression on the Martez sisters. I do really like the line Rafa has about Ahsoka acting like how she wishes the Jedi would act. Ahsoka has become more of a Jedi now than she ever was back in the Order, without all of the complacency and the dogma that the Order has fallen into. Can't wait for you guys to keep following her on her journey. With that said, let's move onto today's fun facts.
    This episode marks the final appearance for the Martez sisters in the series, but I'd keep an eye out for them, you never know when certain characters might pop up. This episode also marks the return of Maul, albeit through hologram instead of in person, since his defeat at the hands of Sidious in season 5. The story of the Son of Dathomir comics were originally going to be made into episodes for season 6 of the Clone Wars, but became a casualty of Disney buying Star Wars and cancelling the show. You don't really need to know about the events of the story for this last arc to make sense, but I would still recommend you guys check it out in your spare time, it's a pretty good read. The station the Martez sisters refuel their ship at before picking up the spice is the same station on the planet Orondia from the season 4 arc where Obi-Wan was disguised as Rako Hardeen to uncover a plot to assassinate Palpatine by Moralo Eval. The Pyke loading facility where the Martez sisters try to swindle spice from, aside from the Trandoshan manager, is seemingly staffed exclusively by Toong workers. The Toong are a species native to the planet Tund and known for their distinct appearance. One of the most famous Toong is the racer Ben Quadrinaros, who we actually saw in the Boonta Eve podrace Anakin won in The Phantom Menace. He was the racer who got stuck at the starting line before his engines flew off of his pod, eliminating him from the race. We get the name drop of the Crimson Dawn, a crime syndicate from Maul's Shadow Collective that he formed back in season 5. It seems Maul has taken over leading Crimson Dawn directly after escaping from Palpatine. We also get another appearance of Bo-Katan Kryze and her lieutenant Ursa Wren. Since Maul is out of Palpatine's clutches, it would seem that he has taken back the mantle of leadership of Mandalore that he took from Pre Vizsla in the Shadow Collective arc. Now, Bo-Katan has asked for help in dethroning Maul and taking the throne of Mandalore for herself, which leads directly into the final arc of the show and some of the best Star Wars media out there.
    That's all I have today! I can't wait to see you guys watch the Siege of Mandalore arc, it's my absolute favorite one of the show. I'll see you guys on Thursday to start it off with season 7, episode 9, "Old Friends Not Forgotten!" 😀

      Ugh, can’t believe they cancelled the Maul storyline. Why? 😫 was it too dark? 🤔

    • @jediknightryan
      @jediknightryan Před měsícem

      @@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 I'm pretty sure it's because the episodes hadn't entered production yet. When Disney cancelled the show, they stopped all production, so season 6 was just the episodes they had already finished. The Son of Dathomir arc must have been planned for later down the road because I don't think I've even seen unfinished story reels of it, only the comics.

    Somehow Maul returned….
    Terrible jokes aside, Ken’s right. I believe Maul’s arc is offscreen in the book Son of Dathomir.

    If you want more Maul, I do hope you check out Rebels next. It's him at his best and involves my favorite scene in all of the SW animated series.
