This is it. The Arc of all Arcs.
The best arc in the whole series without a doubt. It felt like a movie with how it opened.
"Grievous has attacked the capital", we are now fully in RotS's timeline.
Anakin turned into The Negotiator this episode. 😂
3:42- What’s really heartbreaking is that this is the last time the 212th Attack Battalion (Obi-Wan’s forces) and the 501st Legion (Anakin’s forces) would fight together prior to Order 66.
9:56- Nothing could be more tragic than the fact this is the last time Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano would see each other prior to his eventual descent towards the dark side and becoming Darth Vader.

Both the 501st and the 212th were present for and fought alongside one another in the battle of Coruscant, we just never saw that on-screen.
The moment I saw that Red Text I also got extremely excited...

Fun fact #1: Every scene, and I mean every scene in the first part of the episode, right up until Ahsoka tells Rex "Beat you" is a reference to the pilot movie.
#1.1 The episode begins with Obi-Wan and his clone troopers pinned down by the Separatist droids until Anakin arrives and pulls a fake surrender, both to buy time and draw out the enemy commander (much like Obi-Wan did in the pilot movie).
#1.2 Meanwhile, the 501st gets behind enemy lines by approaching it hiding under on object (in this case, the bridge the clones are trying to capture). This is just like when Anakin and Ahsoka hid under the rubble to get through enemy lines, when they were sent to disable the Separatists' Energy Shield.
#1.3 Just as they win the battle, Admiral Yularen calls the Jedi to inform them of an urgent message and they're surprised to discover that it's from Ahsoka. Again, this is just like when she appeared on Christophsis to deliver Yoda's message in the pilot movie.
#1.4 When they're reunited, Anakin is eager and happy to see her again, but Ahsoka keeps her distance. This is a complete 180 from their first meeting in the pilot movie, when Ahsoka was enthusiastic to meet her new Master while Anakin didn't even want to hear about having a Padawan.
#1.5 Ahsoka' and Anakin's discussion about the role she played in protecting the clones in battle, mirrors her conversation with Rex after Anakin foisted her on him in the movie.
#1.6 Ahsoka's mid-air charge on the defences of Sundari, including a race to see who gets to the enemy frontline first, contrasts the vertical siege of the B'omarr Order Monastery on Teth. In the pilot movie, Ahsoka jumped on top of an AT-TE and remained mostly stationary, using her lightsaber only to repell enemy fire. In this episode, she leaps from one gunship to another, takes out Maul's Death Watch soldiers by disabling their Jet Packs mid-flight (once even hitching a ride on one of them), rescues a clone pilot from a crashing gunship when his emergency hatch won't open in order to eject, and leaps from the gunship straight to the docks of Sundari, clearing a bridgehead for her clone troopers to land at. Oh, and this time, she wins the aformentioned race, granted it's against Rex instead of Anakin.
#2: Obi-Wan's claim that Windu has been unable to contact Shaak Ti, who was sent to protect the Chancellor, is a reference to the 2003 microseries.

These last 3 episodes are so good, definitely one of if not my favourite arcs in the entire show.
The 2 Mandalorians with the glowing yellow visors, Gar Saxon & Rook Kast are the ones who helped Maul escape from Sidious in the Son of Dathomir comic

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 It's unlikely at this point. The Son of Dathomir comics were originally intended to be an arc in the show, but when Disney took over they canned the show and many of the unfinished arcs. Some of those story arcs were adapted into other media, such as the aforementioned Son of Dathomir comics, as well as the book Dark Disciple, which was meant to be an 8 episode arc in the show that heavily featured Ventress. Some of the other unfinished arcs had rough animations released online after the show was originally canceled but I don't know if you can access those anymore. 3 of the unfinished story arcs would eventually be made when they brought the show back for season 7.
Other unfinished arcs included:
1: An arc called the Crystal Crisis which focused around the planet Utapau, which is the planet where Obi-Wan kills Grievous in Revenge of the Sith. This arc is also one of those ones that had the rough animations released online after the show was canceled. The other arc that had rough animations released online was the first Bad Batch arc, which was later adapted into Season 7 when they brought the show back.
2: An arc focused on young Boba Fett and bounty hunters
3: An arc focused on R2 and Rex teaming up in a sort of Top Gun style thing
4: An creepy X-Files style arc that featured an alien species from the pre-Disney Expanded Universe called the Yuuzhan Vong
5: An arc focused around some of the secrets of the Jedi Temple
6: An arc that returned to the Water planet of Dac, home of the Mon Cala. The planet that was featured in the opening 3-episode arc of Season 4 of The Clone Wars.
7: A second Bad Batch arc that took place on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, though I do think that this one was partially adapted for the Bad Batch show.
I believe the Clone Wars show was originally meant to have like 8 full 20+ episode seasons before it got canceled when Disney bought the franchise.

The beginning of the end, and it seemed to be going so well.
I can’t stop tearing up every time I see the thumbnail of this video, you two started TCW a year ago towards the end of my junior year and now a year later I’m going to graduate for the last time. This show is one of my favorites and to see you on the last arc really put into prospective how fast time flies. Not only the Red Text but also the change from the Clone Wars Opening theme to the Classic title crawl theme of the Movies, because yeah, this is the End of the Clone Wars, tying into the "Revenge of the Sith" with the mention of Grevious capturing Palpatine
These last episodes are easily some of the best Star Wars available. The build-up, the pay off, and the straight up feels.

Well, with this we're officially in the beginning of the end. The Clone Wars team really pulled all the stops for this last arc and it definitely shows. The animation is better than it was even in the other episodes of this season, the music is firing at all cylinders and hitting at the precise right time, and the writing is on point! Plus, we got to start the episode with a time honored Clone Wars tradition, Anakin commits a war crime (false surrender), so that was fun. I absolutely love that Rex and the other clones basically act like she never left, still saluting her out of respect; and it's such a heartwarming scene where the newly created 332nd company, under the division of the same name, show off their helmets painted like Ahsoka's facial markings. It's been really great watching Ahsoka grow up and come into her own over the show, and this arc is the culmination of all of the buildup. But, that's enough gushing over the show, let's move on to today's fun facts.
We get our last opening narration by the great Tom Kane in this episode, with the vignettes accompanying the narration showing a few characters getting into their positions for Revenge of the Sith: we see General Grievous preparing to launch his attack on Coruscant, Plo Koon flying in his Delta-7b in the skies of Cato Neimoidia, and Aayla Secura leading the 327th Star Corps on Felucia. We also get a glimpse of Ki-Adi-Mundi and Commander Bacara (CC-1138), both presumably on Mygeeto, and another pair, Master Depa Billaba and her padawan Caleb Dume. Master Billaba is a member of the Jedi Council and can be seen as a background character in both The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. This brief flashback is Caleb Dume's second on-screen appearance chronologically. It'd be a good idea to remember him, just in case. The opening battle takes place on the planet Yerbana, making its first and only appearance in Star Wars so far, apart from a few flashbacks in the Bad Batch series. This battle gives us the final appearance of the droid tri-fighter in the series. It also gives us the final appearance of the NR-N99 Persuader-class droid enforcer manufactured by the Techno Union. This droid tank made only one other appearance in the entire series, all the way back in the season 2 episode "The Zillo Beast." With the revelation that Grievous has indeed launched an attack on Coruscant, we are officially intertwined with Revenge of the Sith, the rest of these episodes will be running parallel with the movie. But, even with Anakin having to go rescue the Chancellor, he still helps Ahsoka out by creating the 332nd Division and the company of the same number that we see with Rex in the hanger. We also see Anakin give Ahsoka her lightsabers back, though he's "made them better" by swapping their green and yellow-green crystals with two blue ones.
When Admiral Yularen calls Anakin and Obi-Wan back to the ship, he says that someone is contacting them using his subspace frequency "Fulcrum." Anakin believes it to be Saw Gerrera, but it of course ends up being Ahsoka; you'll want to remember the name Fulcrum, it might pop up again later. The invasion of Mandalore gives us another look at the Mandalorian forces still loyal to Maul (the Mauldalorians if you will). You'll want to pay attention to two in particular, the ones with the glowing yellow/orange T visors. The man, Gar Saxon, and the woman, Rook Kast, (both making their first on-screen appearance) were the two who led the effort to help Maul escape the prison Palpatine was keeping him in. You'll want to remember Gar Saxon's name in particular, I have a feeling he might show up again. With Rex being promoted to Commander to lead the new 332nd Division, another trooper would have to be the division's Captain to serve as his second in command. This is where we get Captain Vaughn (CT-0292) who makes his first, and sadly only, appearance in this episode. We don't know if he was already a Captain when he was assigned to the 332nd or if he was promoted from Lieutenant like Rex was from Captain, but given the fact that Rex has been a Captain for most of the Clone Wars and was in command of the 501st directly under Anakin and Ahsoka, it seems likely that Vaughn was promoted from Lieutenant. And, of course, right at the end of the episode we get the triumphant return of Maul, disappointed that Obi-Wan wasn't the one sent to confront him. It seems like he has something big planned, we'll have to wait and see.
Well, that's all I've got for today. It's just about done now, only three episodes to go! Have you guys decided which series to watch next? If you haven't seen Tales of the Jedi, I would recommend going with that since it's only six episodes (plus Tales of the Empire is premiering in a couple of days). If you've seen that, then either Bad Batch of Rebels would be your best bet. Bad Batch just aired its series finale yesterday, so you won't have to wait for any new episodes if you go with it. I can't wait to see what's next for you guys! I'll see you next week for episode 10, "The Phantom Apprentice!" 😀

This Arc was set to be legit a "movie" it self, the main "Star Wars Theme" at the begining, evry "4 episodes are part of the same one" like we see at the start "part1" etc... Those 4 épisodes are better than some movies in my opinion, they connect evrything, and have a huge emotional impact....
Every short beginning scene with the different jedi is showing us their respective order 66 locations in Episode III.

As much as I love how much ur loving this u don’t know the feeling of waiting ur entire life for this the show started when I was like 3 and ended when I was like 9ish and this season came out when I was 16 so I literally waited half my life pretty much to watch this season and the excitement I had is unmeasurable. My favourite show growing up coming back and getting an episode like this is heaven

If you listen carefully to when Anakin fakes the surrender, you can hear that the music is just like when Luke enacted his plan to before he's about to jump into the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi.
It was a "Like Father, Like Son" type of homage.
Also: 11:07 when the music drops was the exact moment that Anakin and Obi-Wan's mission to rescue Palpatine was underway in the opening of Revenge of the Sith. It was the parallel that signaled the beginning of the what we knew to be the end as Ahsoka began her descent on Mandalore.
The last three episodes of Clone Wars could be a movie as far as I'm concerned.
I love how Ahsoka's sabers turned blue after spending so long in Anakin's care. The color of the saber is determined by the Jedi, after all.

Revenge of the Sith opens with Grevious having attacked Coruscant and "captured" Palpatine. Unfortunately...that means the rest of Episode 3 is about to happen as well...

It's amazing that they creaded such a great episode closing the build of ashoka's character compared to her start!
Truly, in this episode the lightsabers and mask coloring of the clones has a lot of emotion in it.
And what comes next just takes everything you said, about the music, the tension, ashoka's strong confidence and all the other small details to even higher notch!
The chills will go on till the end of the season!🤩

These last four episodes truly felt like a movie, and were the perfect way to end this series.
So it begins.
IMO I think that Ahsoka's decision to withdraw from Anakin and be cold towards him pushed him to the Dark Side in a much more impactful way than if she had died. Anakin lost Qui-Gon, Shmi, and then he believes that Padmé will die in childbirth. All 3 deaths were circumstances beyond their control. They didn't want to abandon Anakin. They wanted to remain in his life. Imagine going through that much trauma and his padawan was almost executed only for her to willingly leave his side. It's one thing when someone dies, but it's probably more painful if someone you love abandons you. Especially given the attachment losses that Anakin went through. Poor Anakin! He wanted to know how Ahsoka was, where she's been, and if she's safe... Only for her to give him the cold shoulder. I think that was the final straw. I think the visions of Padmé's death pushed him over the edge to the Dark Side while Ahsoka pushed him close to the edge.

You must’ve seen the hypocrisy in Bo’s words. She is responsible for the events that led to Satine’s death, the Republic occupation, Maul’s takeover, and now out of vanity and ambition she invited something far worse to conquer and destroy her people. Remember season three. The last thing Satine ever wanted was a Republic presence on Mandalore.
Having the balls to use Satine against Obi-wan when she is the reason she even died in the first place.
Bo-Katan is pretty far from in the right, but lets remember it was Viszla calling the shots, not her, it was his plan to use maul, she was just one of his lieutenants, i'd wager he only kept her close to lend legitimacy to his claim.
Not to say her hands clean, she was involved with some pretty horrific actions, but she got her sister out to call obi-wan for help, and later saved obi-wan too, she tried to do some good after Mauls actions and the acceptance of his rule by Viszla and half of deathwatch snapped her out of the cult-like mindset she had. A republic presence was not ideal, but it was better than maul, and no-one could predict what it would become.
@@RyderDunei Maul Did. And without Pre Bo holds the responsibility. It was Bo that betrayed House Kryze long before the last civil war. It was Bo that played a role in the massacre of that Village. And it was Bo that plotted to murder her own sister. And when all those plans failed, she did not switch sides. She her goals simply alined with those we can confidently call our heroes.
And what was her goal when the Republic liberated Mandalore? Was it to reestablish the parliament or hand power to a new prime minister. Or even to surrender herself for to Mandalorian justice? No! She wanted Mandalore for herself. She said as much while asking for Republic help. And look at the good that did. A conquer and scattered people and dead world, all for an empty throne.
The most ironic thing is. It all could’ve been avoided if Bo never betrayed her house to Pre Viszla.

It’s a funny scene, but you’ve just watched Anakin commit a war crime (Faking a surrender), for the last time in the series that is.
The battle scene in Mandalore’s invasion, at least guessing by the music, is that Ahsoka is doing this at the same time as Anakin and Obi Wan are fighting over Coruscant. You see bits and pieces hinting that Revenge of the Sith is happening at the same time.
Well, technically he did commit a warcrime I guess but it's not like the droids are people.
Yeah. They directly parallel multiple scenes in this and the movie. With things happening at same time.
It really ratcheted up the tension.

Here we have Ahsoka at her worst as she is willing to condem billions of civillians to die just out of pettyness against Palpatine. As far as Ahsoka knows he literaly only did his job by presiding over her trial and he wasen't even a prick about it. And the only reason she was in that situation was because of her incompetence. We know that Palpatine is a evil dude but even then he wasen't even directly behind the attack unless we argue that he is responsible for everything as he started the war witch is true but very nittpicky. Even discounting that Palpatine is the current head of state so letting him get captured is a tactically bad move. Also the capital of the republic is under attack. Anyone with an iq above room temperature knows witch call is the right one. The capital of your entire government and the center of your civilization vs a neutrar party. Also Ahsoka has no right complainging about the council as she chose to leave even after they acnowledged their mistake and where willing to promote her even though she did nothing to earn it. Also she trust Bo-katan who last she saw participated in a genocide because the village didn't want them to enslave their women but not Obi-wan who at the very worst was a bit gulliable.
Also Bo-katan. Imagine having the gall to use your dead sister as levreage over the man who loved her and had to watch her die in his arms when you are directly responsible for her death by enabeling her killer to get to power and backing another genocidal madman who wanted to depose her and probably kill her and doing this for years.
