This for me, was one of the best episodes ever. Matthew has such an interesting insight into the whole growth mindset philosophy and the varied examples that he shared were excellent. Really enjoyable
WOW. WOW. WOW Great pod chaps
Matthew comes across really well. He talks about failing at Podcasts but his series with Freddie and Robbie Savage is Epic.
Love Matthew Syed!! I’ve read his book Rebel Ideas 3 times - excellent!! Great podcast episode!!
Excellent channel. I watched the Seán Dsyche. Conversation first and it was wonderful, in terms of content, ambience, audio and video quality and the collaborative commitment to constructing meaning, to informing viewer's Learning, the relaxed pacing, which, for me, encouraged me to fold back he various comments and insights into my own life's experience and provide me opportunities to learn.
Sport and those in and around it have great influence on youth. In a '1 second ad' compressed, busy, social media, the long form, considered conversations, such as these, in their very accessible language and supportive dialogue and authentic invitation genuinely curious questions, should really be core material in personal development programs in secondary/college and I believe they would be gratifying for learners.
Keep it up guys!
Prof Paul Dolan at the LSE is the person you're thinking about. He was born in Hackney and it's so refreshing to hear a fellow east ender share his wisdom.
Loved this episode! Lots of practical advice which me as a parent can relate to 👏
This channel is gold.
Looking forward to this!
His book Rebel Ideas is a belter!
Great listening as usual. Btw, you’ve called MS our number one tennis player in the email. Keep up the good work lads 👍
Fantastic conversation! I love the show and it inspires me for my own podcast. I am going to take the feedback question and ask my guests for some feedback too!
Great chat. Listening, I thought it was Harry Metcalfe
If you fail (first attempt in learning) you'll then set sail (second attempt in learning) so stay on your tail (i.e. keep going!) (third attempt in learning)... or something like that 😅 I just made that up.
As a Chaplain in schools, whose role also requires mentoring and finding out the underlying causes for behavioural or mental health decline, I chart lack of resilience and fear of failure as the top cause for issues. I am always looking for new avenues to reach young people before well-meaning adults undermine they're potential
After listening, I have to say how refreshing and enthralling this episode was. So much valuable information. Thank you
What happened to the Flintoff, Savage and The Ping Pong guy podcast?
Great podcast. Must listen to other guests. Just one point. Was Matthew suggesting Ferguson rebuilt Man Utd after Munich? Think that was Matt Busby
