As a Virgin Galactic share holder, I can confirm this man isn’t interested in money.
lol
It’s always the rich that say this
Every poor person always says this.
I’d much rather be wealthy, than rich. Rather have a property of vast, high class properties than have a single £ in my bank.
Elon Musks got about 200 grand cash in banks whilst google says he’s worth 150 billion.
If you still don’t get it, you never will.
The performance of the stock has gone down so much over the past year. It’s more like a penny stock now.
Listening to his book and what shines out is that he is a really nice bloke who cares deeply about his family and staff.
Thank you for getting Richard Branson on. Very much appreciated ❤ it excellent to listen to his story. 🤗
Can't beat a flight from LHR-JFK, JFK-LHR with Virgin Atlantic. 14th February 2020, there was a buzz on board from the cabin crew, when I mentioned Virgin had just kicked BA's arse getting back from JFK to LHR in a record time.
“It’s true that we were narrowly beaten by a BA Boeing 747, however they had twice the amount of engines and burnt twice as much fuel as Captain Chris in our brand-new, fuel efficient Airbus A350-1000,” Virgin said.
And yes the scone with Rodda's clotted cream was the icing on the cake!
Wealthy people don't need to worry about money. They can focus on things they're interested in knowing that they can pay the bills. That way of thinking doesn't scale well to the middle and working classes though.
Couldn't agree more.
One guest better than the other lately! I've read many books from Richard, what an inspiring person. Thanks for this!
I am saddened by some of the comments to this interview, not because I directly disagree with people, but because there is so much unhappiness and frustration due to wealth inequality. I believe Richard knows he is detached from ordinary people through his wealth, but if you really listen to him, he is telling us all that it is possible to take and manage risk to achieve greater control in your life.
I have been entrepreneurial most of my adult life….with mixed success……including some bad outcomes……it’s not an easy path to take but I still work to crest businesses and build employment opportunities for others. I recognise, of course, why many capable people will never be entrepreneurs.
As I have aged I would now say that knowing what is least uncomfortable for yourself as your existence is probably more important than a certainty of success or wealth.
Pay very strict attention: this is the reason that Virgin Trains were the most loved and the most successful of private railway companies in the UK.
Why anything that the Virgin Group turn their attention to they receive good reviews because they actually care.
Those staff who worked on the West Coast mainline both at the stations and on the Virgin trains and who now work for Avanti will tell you why Virgin were much better because they cared.
Oh, that's interesting. Perhaps he wont mind using some of his to set an example by helping to reduce world poverty and deprivation.
It’s easy to not be interested in money, when you have all the money you’ll ever need and not need to think about it
Hello Richard exhaustion has become a part of life in the huge influx outflux of energy❤❤🎉🎉
Sorry verbier Switzerland,shock 😮
Great great interview Jake...what is the title of the book you're reading from?
Sadly, my business had a number of dealings with a variety of virgin companies and they were the biggest bunch of mean, money grabbing people I had the misfortune to deal with. The hype is bull, many of the virgin businesses failed leaving creditors out of pocket as they stretched the brand to its limits. So, some very creative accountants built overvalued business on a brand built on his wholesome image.
Richard some of us who believed in you and your services! Would agree! I'm not so lucky and took out a virgin credit card some 15 years ago! These people make a farce of your belief in not being interested in making money! They took me to the cleaners! I'm dyslexic and struggled to fight these guys under your name! The made my depression worse and I even had panic attacks in court! You are winging it like most people so yeah! Luck was on your side but believe me karma is going to hopefully make you see justice to all those who your company has made a misery for year's!
He's also not interested in paying taxes or paying his workers properly.
We have spent best part of 30 yrs spinning ideas and not creating❤❤🎉🎉
Great interview with a very interesting man who has had a very interesting life , but his life even from young is not working class so he really doesn't have a clue what the majority of us go through . I will give my manager a good insite on how some thing could improve, and am told just put the veg or meat on the shelf and work faster . Branson doesn't have a clue what us minions go through, all to keep the wolf from the door. Its all about the boss and share holders
As long as we have good new ideas mistakes are forgiven❤❤🎉🎉😂😂
Dont jump your guns it will put pressure on the global economy❤❤🎉🎉 not jump your bones
The man who wanted a £700 million handout from the government who isn't interested in money, let alone the. $150,000 to rent his private island
Exactly.
I have just blasphemed outrageously!!
Give your money to charity then if money means nothing duhh
True really poor entrepreneurship without understanding it's long term implications❤❤🎉🎉cash flow spins
His not interested in making money because his money is making money.
It’s easy not being interested in money when you have billions £££££

His ego is much much bigger than I thought..

Utter utter nonsense 😂 a privileged guy from the start

No disrespect to you, Mr. Branson you have no interest in money yes because you are incredibly rich. I would be the same. I’m just saying.
