- To celebrate finishing the Bardic Grade in The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids I bound all of the Gwers booklets into a leather covered book.
I also played the music using a glockenspiel, bodhran, low D whislte and D whistle and mixed it together. The song is The Little Cascade.
There is over 17 hours of video that I compressed into this 5 minute video. I hope you enjoy it.
I used the following tutorials about bookbinding as I had never done it before.
• DIY Text Block | Case ...
• How to Stitch a Text B...
• DIY Hardcover Book | C...

Wonderful! You are a true Bard in every sense of the word.
Thanks Linda :)
Great job. Exactly what I was looking for, for my Bardic Gwers!
Well now, THIS is fantastic! And very inspiring. Thank you for sharing, Chris!
Wow, fascinating and wonderful. Love the music, too! 👏
Wow, great job and thank you! I bind my journals but not with this degree of care and precision.
Chris, this is exceptionally wonderful. Your final book is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing it. You never cease to inspire me! /|\
Thanks Lisa :)
Lovely work, especially with the help of your beautiful cat assistants. Your binding is really fantastic, you make me want to learn another skill! From your choice of tree illustrations I’m guessing you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, so I hope your enjoying a good winter right now /|\
That is so cool!!! 😍
That's a marvellous piece of work, Chris!
This is beautiful! Thank you for the thoughtful sharing of your work.
Awesome! I love the cover you painted.

very inspiring!
Absolutely beautiful Chris. :D
Thanks William :)
Wow!
That is lovely work and a brilliant idea. I don't have the tools, but I think binding them like this is brilliant. Maybe I should find a course and give it a shot sometime in the future...Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Alatier, it is not that difficult really. The tools are easy to find, or make. There are links to the tutorials that helped me in the description.
Awesome work!!
Thanks Carol
That's amazing, wish I could have the patience to do something like that. It's lovely /|\
This is so beautiful. Makes me want to give it a try. Do you find it difficult to read over them again this way?
That is beautiful and dare I say Australian plants on the cover?
Love it. I've been trying to decide how to keep mine. Have you gone on to Ovate?
Beautiful Work! Did you include the supplementary materials? My supplementary materials don't match. Supplement number one is numbered incorrectly, numbered 3 to 10 instead of 547 to 554, and supplement number three is a cream colour and not even light blue like the others. I'm on the fence about whether to include them or not. I feel the book would be incomplete without them, but look patch-worked together with them.
