I'm so sorry you were sold a replica. The biggest indicator of this particular bag being a replica is the front leather flap where the metal decals are affixed. You can see 2-3 stitch marks working their way across on both sides above the GG metal decal. Those stitch marks are not present on the real Ophidia GG small shoulder bag.

Yes, the code number fonts are off and the qr code tag is off. I could not see the Gucci made in side clear enough to see if that's off. Just get authenticated before buying, or before return period is up
In Top Replica bag, the logo is placed much lower under the stitch. Whereas on the authentic bag, the logo is placed right under the stitch. Also in Top Replica bag, the flap seems longer than the authentic. That's what I noticed. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
Wow, the exterior looks just like the real thing. I noticed the inside tag has 10 stitches across and the Gucci website picture has 12 and the logo stamp looks more deep than that of the authentic ones I've seen. I bought a pre loved LV once from a reputable reselling company and went crazy searching for pictures of the same bag sold on other sites. Found out that certain factories and years have different stitching but still couldn't trust so I went to LV to beg for them to fix anything so they would take it in and return to me if it wasn't real. Luckily, it was authentic. Still my heart beats fast every time I purchase a preloved item, hehe.
Looks very authentic from the outside....even the fonts are a close match to the two Gucci bags I own. I've never done mercari only poshmark. And i do groups which is so very strict and because I adore vintage. Like u said lesson learnt! Since my experience on Mecari I only buy from the store or the outlet store no more second hand because they’re making fakes so real now and I don’t want to pay a lot of money for a fake bag

The bottom is off, the corners, the tabs aren’t stitched all the way down, the lining color is completely off, the stamping font… I saw a lot of other things too. I have 20 Gucci bags and about 200 luxury bags. Immediately I can tell it’s a fake. So sorry this happened to you. I can’t imagine how frustrated you are.
I feel like this is one of those A grade bags that are made very well and close to the Gucci bag and some of these A bags (depending on how close it is to the original) can be sold pretty expensive. I'm sorry you had this experience 😢
The company you dealt with allowed a woman to sell me a fake bag. Instead of dealing with her, they threatened me because I asked for a receipt. I was very adamant and called them several times a day. They finally gave me site credit but I only had 30 days to spend it. Never did business with them again. It was an expensive bag too. Sad.

I now have sales associates with whom I work with depending on the brand. At this point having had the bag for 2 years just use the bag as you have been. If you really can’t get over the bag give it to a niece or daughter to use of just give it away. You won’t get much for it trying to sell it so let it go if it continues to bother you. Take care.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I have a Gucci ophidia but it is a clutch and has a different lining and bought from Gucci. The only thing I see is that the lining seems loose like it is too much fabric for the bag. It is so sad 😞.

The canvas is dull flat and there should be a shien to it. The hardware should have some weight and the color of the gold on the hardware is to shiny. Stitching on a gucci bag shouldn't be straight,it should have an angle. Also the left side of the U in gucci should be bigger then the right side of the U. Under the zipper,gucci should be engraved on it..don't feel bad because it's a pretty good fake.

That is fake, the front logo hardware has no stitching on the top end middle, the original stitching in the front hardware logo is only in the form of U, not stitching forming like a C, same as the back flap with no GG logo, the stitching should be like letter U not Letter C. Plus the colour of the zipper is slightly different.

It's a shame! One thing that I noticed comparing an original from a fake Gucci, is the number "9" in the serial number, the font style is different.

Hello dear. I’m a Gucci premium customer and the first thing than comes clear to my eyes is the green and red ribbon which Is not that shiny in the original one. Also the thickness of the leather and the color do not match at first sight.

Also a good way to know whether we’re facing a fake is the smell! Chinese product need to use toxic ridiculous materials to reproduce the Gucci canvas ! Another good way to see the authenticity is the finishing of the hardware! Low quality hardware is too light and you can see the two sides put together divided by a line: it means that the metal cursor has been made out by a molding process putting two sides together! I can tell you right now it's the numbers font and they are too close together. The number 2's are the easiest to spot ...in my opinion.

That is fake, the front logo hardware has no stitching on the top end middle, the original stitching in the front hardware logo is only in the form of U, not stitching forming like a C, same as the back flap with no GG logo, the stitching should be like letter U not Letter C. Plus the colour of the zipper is slightly different.
I came to this video bc I was considering buying a 2nd hand bag from a reseller that has a 100% authenticity guarantee. This bag looks too much like the real thing but geez! It might be better to just spend the extra money with the retailer bc ppl buy designer bc you can resell for a decent price. It sucks to be out of money and unable to resell if you need or want to.

Sorry to hear what happened..but you never said anything about the smell.. because I bought a gg wallet that look so authentic like my wallet but the smell is what gave me the red flag. It smelled like plastic and I should of smell before buying it..😞

It looks like yours is not like yours has a little flap. that’s why I think yours is another reason knock off I had to pull mine out to compare. I never buy those designer purses off of any website. I always buy from the actual Gucci website.

You can contact Mercari, and tell them. They should be able to do something for you.
I tried. Since I found out the bake is fake only when I tried to sell it , a lot of time had past. The seller closed her account.
@@lovemesomelux4375 Even if seller closed the account, Mercari has a record of all the transactions. Tell them you found out afterwards, and they need to honor a refund to you. It is their responsibility since the seller sold the bag on their platform. Send them a picture of what Fashionphile and Poshmark said about the bag.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅 yt

I don’t know how people could buy luxury items without the doubt of that is real or fake. Before, if you buy direct from the store you can feel confident, but now, we all see a lot of cases where people return fake items and the stores sell them again without any inspection as authentic.

Leather and lining inside look fake. If you have gucci bags already it so easy to tell that this is fake but probably because of the receipt you had an impression that it was original😢
Every time I look to get a luxury bag I see these videos where the fake look just as good or better than the real. I am not going to pay 1,700 for a bag and they are selling fakes for $200.
