First Ride on New KX250F

- First Ride on my new 2021 Kawasaki KX250F. Really enjoy the bike a lot. Good power and great handling. The motor really shines up top. The bike feels stable everywhere but the forks are too stiff. Gonna put a softer spring rate in there and it will be perfect. Using the white aggressive coupler in this vid and power delivery is excellent. The bike is very slim/narrow and seems good for smaller riders. I prefer the width and big feel of my YZ250F more. Hope y'all enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

That’s so sick, those 2021 KX250’s look so nice all green with the large KX sticker, I’ve got a 2013 KX250f and I love it so much, I wonder how much of a difference there is between them🤔. Great videos as always man, love watching❤
I was wondering about the differences also I've got a KX 250F 17 model and it rips I just love it.
@@dnickens20115 that’s sick, I’d love to be able to just get like 3 different KX250f’s with like 5 years between them and just ride them back to back, like say a 2013, 2018 and a 2023 or something, just to see how much difference there is and how noticeable it is
Great bike. I have a 22 X model and it just rewards you the harder you push. I am not a good enough rider to keep it up on the 14,000 rpm end, but if you can keep it wound up she sings a song!!

Thanks for the awesome review. I was trying to decide between a KX 250f and a YZ 250f the KX being $1000 cheaper and you just helped me make a decision and from what I understand the 2023 KX motor is even a little stronger through out.👍🏻
I have a 23 KX250 and absolutely love it. 100% recommend!
The KX250f motor is great, power felt good everywhere. It has more top end than the YZ250f, but the YZ has way more midrange grunt. I prefer the wide feeling of my YZ but this narrow KX feels light and easy to move around. Either bike you will be happy with :)
I have a 23 Kx 250 great top end bottom end is little weak. Was told from watching the reviews on CZcams to switch to a 51 tooth sprocket to help bottom end out. I ordered one just need to put it on see if it helps.

Yea I did, was a little better, I ended up trading it in for a 23 450! And love it 450 Has so much torque just a super fun bike to ride power on tap.

The KX has more top end power than YZ absolutely but I rode the YZ250F this weekend and the YZ midrange blows away the KX.
I have a 22 yz250f and I’ve ridden my friends kx250 and the internal gearing on the yz feels sooo much shorter than the kx and I think that’s why it doesn’t have that much top end. Like coming in a corner on the kx I’d be in first and the yz I’d be almost redlining 2nd

@@DerekHallman actually no I haven't, last year I was waiting for the 23 kx 250x to hit the bike shop, I waited like 5 months, and when they actually got one in I went to buy it but the dam thing was so tall I couldn't touch the ground, even tippy toed! Pissed me off cause I really wanted the bike. I thought that I'd be riding trails and single track and that the seat hight would be to much to overcome so I selltled on a 23 beta 200rr. Seat hight is like 36.5" on the beta, I still wish that I would've got the kawasaki.... I spent more money on the beta, and though I like the beta, but the kx 250x is what I wanted. I'll progress this year on my riding and sell my 2001 ktm 200 and pull the trigger on the green!

I definitely prefer the YZ250F for myself. They are both excellent bikes and I'd say you'll be happy with either, but they feel VERY different. The YZ feels wide and has lots of midrange grunt but not a lot of power up top. The KX feels super narrow and pulls way hard up top but cant hang with the YZ in midrange. Suspension is better stock on the YZ no doubt. KX feels light and playful. I love the sound of the YZ.

Cool bike! I might one day soon get a KX 250f. I am just about 14 years old, and I'm around 5,9. Would I be better off with a YZ or KX because I don't want to much power, and a good suspension. Also how long do these 4 stroke engines last if the oil is changed regularly?
You would be fine picking any 250f that's in good condition. 4 stroke engines can last up to 200 hours depending on how hard you ride them and how well you maintain them

what do you like more,Yamaha yz250 or KX250F?
I’m looking for a new bike, you have a ktm, Yamaha, and kawisaki…..which one is the most Comfy for you or which one do you feel checks all the boxes when it comes to turns, torque, etc.
YZ250F is my favorite out of them. I like the wide feel of it. Somehow it feels like my legs naturally are always squeezing it rather than having to focus on it. Thin bikes like the KX or KTM I'm constantly reminding myself to squeeze with the legs but the YZ just feels like part of my body if that makes sense. YZ has the most midrange power, which is where I mostly ride so I prefer that, but the KX has more pulling power up top. My KTM might corner the best but I didn't like the suspension until I had it revalved. YZ has best suspension, KX suspension would be great with a different spring rate. I like how the YZ feels in ruts. Both KTM and KX feel light and easy to move around.

I’m deciding if I should get a kx250f or a yz125 both brand new for my next bike I’m on a klx230R rn
I jumped from 230R to KX250. KLX is really fun but the KX is WAY more fun and kinda intimidating depending on your skills

yeah I have a mic in my helmet. The mic as a "dead cat" wind cover on it.

A 2010 kx450 it feels really weird but I’m saying that after getting off my crf450r but I feel like the overall quality of Kawasaki wasn’t there then fr but I’m ngl I really like the look of the newer ones especially the one axell hodges rides

5 foot 7 vet rider, currently ride 2021 beta 250rr, ready to get my first 4 stroke. Debating which to get was leaning Husq dude to its shorter seat height, but the kawi is thin huh?
Are you keeping the beta250 or replacing it? Do you ride trails or moto or both? Do you like how your current beta feels? This new kawi I got its very thin. It feels light and easy to move around for sure.
@@DerekHallman I like my beta a lot, ever since I put in the JD jetting kit, and the FMF Phatty and silencer it rips. Think I am keeping it, as its fully plated and there is no better feeling that whaling past a cop on a street legal 2 smoker!! Now for riding Long Island is the worst so currently 1 legal spot to ride its like a very simple loop. But praying this 14 acre MX track is opening this summer, Or hopefully I can move some place cheaper and with much better riding hahah love your vids man thanks for the spark.

I wonder how much softer the "X" versions forks are
even overjumping doubles I had 2.5 inches of fork travel unused and I weigh like 175 without gear. I wonder if the X version have softer spring rates or just different valving 🤔

Not much. On the '23 models the X front springs are .47 and the moto is .49, there ain't much difference in the bikes besides kickstand and rear wheel size.

Better than the KTM 150?
They are different. The 150 takes a lot of work to ride it well and fast. The 250f feels way easier to go faster on.

Yeah I had a 2020 kx250f back in 2019-2020. This 2021 model I just got is a totally different bike it's really good 👍🏻
